was about to accuse you of stealing the build then I realised you changed your channel name :) great work as usually, didn't see that type of smelter anywhere else !
Awesome tutorial, one suggestion would be to start the tutorial from where the inputs will be and have a demonstration of what the size will be like, in my example i needed the inputs to be flush with a wall but couldn't figure out where my starting point should be from where you started the tutorial
I got this furnace working with the 32 stack, but my chests do not want to split at all. I can reliably split chests when not in a build, same world, but the ones on top do not split. They're even in the same chunk, so there's no loading bias going on. Any ideas?
Nvm I figured it out in mere seconds after this comment. Placing chests together with shift click will separate the sides even if it registers as a double chest, so you gotta place them on place-holder blocks so they join "naturally." What the hell, Mojang!
Auto crafted bamboo planks would work. Bamboo directly would need to pre fuel as fast enough is hard to do with a lot of furnaces. 4 bamboo per smelt at hopper speed is only (doing math in my head) 6 furnaces. I think it should be possible to reliable speed this up to one every 6 ticks instead of 8 which would make it a bit better for bamboo, but that still only gets it to maybe 8 furnaces. And given auto crafting is in the next version...
Are you on the Java Edition? or the Bedrock Edition? I'm not sure what you mean by the watch being too fast, but I've been testing on Java and I know some redstone behaves differently on Bedrock. I did think about driving two dropper lines of one circuit (and still thinking about this, but more for if driving say, 8 furnace lines). The challenge with that approach though is what runs the clock? and how to make sure its from the hopper that gets the most items (say, 33 items were in a chest, one hopper would get 16, the other 16+1, what happens if the clock is triggered from the one that gets 16?). In the end decided to keep it simple to describe by just mirroring the design rather than having both sides different. Also I couldn't work out how to run the fuel lines this way without getting a lot of dropper ticks. I am happy to get screenshots, I've set up a Discord server so others can post screenshots. I think I may have mucked up creating it the first time though so made sure its set up as a community server this time: discord.gg/uDvdxS53cZ
I'm not quite sure on purpose of the second clock either, though I suspect it might help if an incorrect number of items were to be fed into the system, since each line is managed separately this way. I haven't fully wrapped my head around it yet to be confident though, will probably need to build it later and puzzle it out.

Regardless, thank you for your work! A great and underappreciated design
Thanks for the build idea, looks handy for mid/late game. :)
Awesome content ty
So cool! Thanks for the great vid
You have way to few subscribers. But now one more :)
Nice!

how well would this work with bamboo fuel? would the distribution be fast enough?

@@elhedran ahh thank you so much for all the detailed information!
