  • I built bunk beds for my kids! This is a rapid view of a long project, but hopefully it inspires you to go out and dream up something fun! These DIY bunk beds are so loved by my kids, and I'm so glad that I tackled something that was really intimidating.
    Just remember to make the structure really strong and attach it properly to studs - then you're good to go! I don't have bunk bed build plans yet, but hopefully I'll have some soon!
    Want to see where I ended up with this project? Check out the newest update here! • Bunk room wallpaper😍 #...

    Years ago got logs cut up at a local sawmill For my son's bunkbed Drilled holes for real branches added artificial leaves.the whole thing looked like a tree fort,bottom was his video game setup that looked like an army tent We put glow in the dark lightning bugs in vintage lanterns,painted skies and owls in trees ,etc.It was so heavy, Ended up giving it to friends and they ended up giving it to friends and it is still going strong. Which is quite amazing considering I live in Florida had no idea what I was doing and you that was doing and used logs that I found.

    • @bridgetkelly2
      @bridgetkelly2 Год назад +1

      @@ericay3225 ..holes mean that dirt, toys, etc would get stuck down there & since she framed it all in, there would be no way to clean it. All that would end up in a pile under this bunk bed with no way to clean it. People sweating or dampness doesn't need holes. My three sisters & I had bunk beds for years throughout our whole childhood. We never had holes in any of the bunk bed sets that we had. It was completely fine.i would say a railing for the top bunk would be a must tho.

    • @champagnechaos

But a built in bunk bed will be much sturdier than most storebought, and DIY is cheaper than hiring it out. I do buy cabinet boxes for a lot of my projects because it's not worth it to me to build them from scratch. Hope that helps! 😊
