      @@505rokks Sorry, I don't have any real design drawings. I scribbled some dimensions on paper as I was building it, but that's all. I measured the height of the ceiling and the thickness of the mattresses and did the math to ensure both beds would have the same amount of space above the mattress. I measured the length and width of the mattresses and added a few inches to the openings so that they wouldn't fit too tightly and it would be easy to change the sheets. I guessed on the width of the stairs, which are 19" wide, and they are comfortable for kids or adults to climb without feeling too tight. The shelves are about 17" wide.

    • @wizard_of_eyes
      @wizard_of_eyes  3 года назад +1

      I initially planned to do exactly that, but decided not to. With a box spring under the full size mattress, there is actually only 3 inches between the box spring and the floor. I could have added drawers in the place where the box spring is, but construction of the drawers would have added a lot of time to the project. I also considered adding drawers under each one of the stairs, but decided to make it a “hideout” for the kids. (See picture at the very end of the video). They love playing in there. I figured I could go back and add drawers in those places in the future, but we didn’t really need the storage and I wanted to finish the project quickly. It only took 2 weeks to do during quarantine.

    مشكلة هذه الغرف جيدة للاطفال الصغار إلى ٩ أو ١٠ بالكثير أما المراهقون سيكرهون هذا لأنه غير مريح لهم أبدا أتكلم من واجع تجربة أطفالي إلى ٦ سنين وبعدها كره الأطفال الصعود للأعلى وكانوا يتذمرون حتى من ناحية التهوية سيء جدا فكروا كثيرا قبل القيام بذلك لانه مكلف جدا وقد تستخدمه لسنتين إلى ٤ سنين بالكثير

      Still far cheaper than buying a prefabricated bunkbed. I can tear it out at any time. My kids are still young enough that we will use it for at least 5 more years. Also, what else was I supposed to do during COVID lockdown??
      لا يزال أرخص بكثير من شراء سرير بطابقين جاهز. يمكنني تمزيقها في أي وقت. لا يزال أطفالي صغارًا بما يكفي لاستخدامه لمدة 5 سنوات أخرى على الأقل. أيضًا، ما الذي كان من المفترض أن أفعله أيضًا أثناء إغلاق فيروس كورونا؟؟
