- When you use the Dell OS Recovery Tool to build a Windows 11 recovery drive, it fails with an error because the Windows 11 ISO file install.wim file is larger than 4GB file system limit that the OS Recovery Tool uses when it formats the flash drive. This video shows how to bypass this limitation and build a working Windows 11 recovery drive using the Dell OS Recovery Tool.

Successfully made the USB following your instructions. Now all I have to do is see if it works on my new Raid Mirror Disk install
For a Dell computer, which is the right option - Creating a Windows 11 Recovery USB using the native Win 11 recovery drive or using Dell OS Recovery Tool to create a recovery USB?
pls copy links into text, also why so complicated I guess dell/ms shall have it ready to use?
Has Dell updated this in he last year to account for reported issues?
did exactly what you did and after my windows opened but with the "windows explorer" not working, no start menu and some weird privilege errors. I can run CMD but cannot configure wife for example. Any help?
I have problems configuring my Wife! interface as well along with the wired priovledge issues and ownership of the Child (Son) and Child(Dauighter) processes. 🤣 It keeps reporting an illegal process girlfriend.exe which won't shut down and keep trying to claim kernel privileges. The Wife interface usually activates the divorce process and proceeds to go to the court server when the girlfriend.exe fails to exit the relationship interface. The Wife Process and her spawned Lawyer helper process and isloates the subsequent child processes claimed under the parent API and requests a long term subscription for support services before ejecting the Husband process from the House Shell.
Why Dell dont fix this issue?
I wonder why newly created .iso is smaller by 35MB?
Also, instead of described process it’s probably easier to get Rufus and create bootable usb from original image
I can't even get the recovery tool to open. SMH.
You can use Dell Image Assist to split a Wim file ruclips.net/p/PLe5xhhyFjDPd2w2BaVZnWwKhM6ohfzgYB&si=1xStUPWF0vwL2w3a
