    awsome info. i have almost all of the downloads you offer. i love all the fighting tech. but as i get older,i am 47,i find myself incorporating more of the mobility and breath work. these to me are the real jewels in this pile of treasure you already offer.

    Gold in 8min and some seconds form. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Excellence and precision should always be the ultimate goal of a martial arts and self defense instructor or practitioner.

    props to the uke taking all that punishment and yet smiling! Still amazed at how systema practionners (Ryabko the first, maybe) smile and look peaceful and happy whilst training the most violent techniques I've ever seen explained publicly!

    Do you find with real world application the opponent tries to bite with the hand that close to the mouth? Almost every one I deal with has Hepatitis or a mixture and I’ve had a few toothy individuals , just seemed risky with the hand near the mouth. I was curious with your security background what you’ve seen? Thanks again great video.

      I encountered a lot of biters on the job. If hand size permits you can clamp a finger under the jaw or chin to mitigate that. I’ve always favoured strong and sudden force instead however with an emphasis on breaking alignment. In my experience biting happens most in clinching lulls where the subject has time to realize they are stuck-it’s a natural tactic to revert to. So emphasize constant pressure, particularly that turns the face into a face lock or lifts it to the sky or drives the face down to their groin. If their structure is in danger and you keep them moving, deformed and unbalanced, they generally scramble to regain familiar structure and balance . I also will start hitting continuously to further disrupt them.

      Thanks for your the quick response I have utilized the jaw lift you show in the 40 week video series with fair amount of success so I’ll try one handed to control the mouth. Biters usually earn strikes to correct their behaviour but I like the controlling techniques whenever possible to keep injuries to a minimum. Not worth the time in the hospital or the paperwork. Thanks again

    this is very interesting. how do you avoid spraining the partner neck when training? when you do that sudden shift back and forth on the same plane can't that kind of strain the neck?

      It’s important to perform a string mobility based warmup.

    • @systemacanada
      @systemacanada  Год назад

      That’s a big question. There are lots of different approaches . Some are good. Some are terrible. Some have good elements. I don’t focus on styles. I focus on principles. That frees you from the trap.
