    Im not sure what I expected when I was recommended your video. But it was surprisingly calming! ❤ A lot of RUclipsrs in America use words like "schizophrenic" to shock or scare people. But you did not! 😊 I have bipolar and post traumatic stress disorder. It makes me happy to see someone so honest about their mental health. ✨️🤝 I really love cooking videos and yours was super relaxing. I subscribed! 🎉

    I like your content its very calm and helps to destigmatise schizoprenia. My mom suffers from this too and seeing you just be a normal person and living is amazing because some people see certain conditions as "scary" when its not its just a condition that people have and people who have it deserve to be respected and cared for too.

      @turnsout689 23 часа назад +14

      I have a friend with schizophrenia, and they were my first real life exposure to the condition, and it was very different to how i had been aware of the condition before then. The stigma is incredibly wide and awful, and the real nature of schizophrenia is not very well represented at all. Considering how much of a persons life it affects when they have schizophrenia, there should definitely be better and more accurate exposure to what its really like.

      @@turnsout689 I know right? It's both treated as scary and that the victim is actually the threat, yet at the same time it's universally made fun of and considered fine to hurt people who suffer from it.

    Seeing "Schizophrenic" on a youtube thumbnail immediately put me on edge, expecting it to be used as a cheap joke. Instead it seems candid and informational. I'm sorry for the doubt, and thank you for being so brave to discuss your mental health.
    As someone living with Schizoaffective Disorder, I'm very used to "schizo" and "schizophrenic" being used as extremely dehumanizing terms. The same "progressive liberal" types who would balk at using the r-word, would gladly throw schizo / schizophrenic at everything they want to insult. Like "the r-word is insulting to humans with intellectual disabilities, but schizo is only insulting to subhumans so who cares?" is how it always feels. Especially miserable with how much the disorders affect your life already, being the walking joke and punching bag of everybody is just...
    Sorry about the vent. Still, I appreciate your candid content and I hope the best for you both with your videos and with your mental health.

      Thought I'd let you know... my late Uncle had Schizophrenia, as well as a cousin. I've spent my life telling people off for making light of it, down to biting a friend's head off in Middle School for saying he was "a little bit schizo" as he was trying to seem 'cool and mysterious'. The only thing scary about Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder is what the people suffering it experience, both from the disorder and from other people around them. For my uncle, and for people like yourself, I will continue to stick up for folks with these disorders and correct misinformation anytime I come across it. Y'all deserve respect, and the helping hand from us who do not suffer it when ya need it. Keep on keeping on, and I hope life treats you well.

    Thank you for sharing your feast. Here is what I ate tonight: Simple Macaroni and Cheese. You boil your favorite pasta firm to the bite. Drain pasta, do not rinse. Then put pasta back in the saucepan. Then add your favorite oil, or fat, butter. Then, add six eggs, and scramble. Then add about ( 4 ) to ( 8 ) ounces of your favorite cheese, and mix the eggs and cheese with the pasta until all the cheese is melted. It is delightful. Simple, yet tasty. I add salt, pepper, and paprika. It was good!

    You are a very methodical and tidy cook. The miso soup looked delicious and healthy. I can't believe how cheap your ingredients cost and the vegetables looked so perfect. In the UK we have to pay a lot of money for often inedible vegetables and most supermarkets don't even put use by dates on many of the fruit and veg which can be a health hazard for old people who have a weakened sense of smell. The Japanese spinach looks very similar to the Chinese 'choi sum' - I wonder if they are the same? Always enjoy your cooking video. I might make a cooking video tonight if I feel up to it. Keep cooking!!!🎉

I don't know if schizophrenia responds to similar things or not, however I think it might be worth looking into. I'm not saying you eat poorly or anything it's just that food has a massive impact on our brains far much more so than we ever give it credit for.
