Isaac Deans that may be. I'm a life long Red Wings fan and in the 80's they were a dumpster fire from front to back. Then Illitch buys the team and drafts Yzerman and the rest is history. It may take some time but they'll turn it around. This owner should be voted out by the league. How can they act like he's doing what's best for the franchise. His behavior is what you would expect from a guy that was trying to destroy the franchise.

Have no real reason to hate Aquaman, he paid a huge mint in cap dollars for this team to be bottom 3 in the league. Melnyk won't even pay a mint to keep his team in the playoffs.
Edit: People hate Aqualini but don't remember the days where ownership was too cheap to fill a roster around the West Coast express. Aquaman invests a lot of money into the Canucks that other owners wouldn't.
well aquaman spends money but not effectively. Melynk doesnt spend period. in the end same result.
Well, that's not on Aquaman that's on Benning. Lol. And even then I'd say the money has been pretty well spent. The only problem was the NTCs Gillis handed out. Eriksson deal is really the only super detrimental contract. Whatever problems you have with cap aren't on Aquaman.

Man... Just want to get this out of my soul. I'm a new NHL fan. Fell in love with the Sens during the 2017 Stanley Cups and decided to support them from there onwards (2017-18 being the first full season I watched and had to deal with the crap afterwards). Yeah... Blitzkreig start.

Sid said what needed to be said. As a Sens fan that didn't hurt in the slightest, it felt good hearing someone FINALLY understand how poorly run the organization is. You got guys like Ryan Dzingel working his ass off putting up career high numbers and STILL gets slapped with a $1M deal. What kind of disrespectful bullshit is that? Karlsson gets slapped around the news and no one from management tries to shut the media up with even a spec of inside info. I'll always love the Sens, but holy fuck is it ever hard to be settled when you know the team is crumbling.
If I was rich enough to buy this team, I'd make sure the players get paid and the fans are happy because all Eugene gives a fuck about is money.

Its finally over after four long years as a sens fan. I hope we can bring back the Pesky Sens energy and go on a run once the new owners takeover. I want a big name executive as the GM and Head Coach who have experience in a cup winning front office. I want this to be a 05/06 sens level team where we have big name players and we can actually retain them long-term.
Also can the NHL make a soft cap please for funk sake this league needs to grow a pair and start competing with the big boys.

As a Sens fan, I hope for an 0-82 season (or 0-79-3 as Sid later mentioned 😂) because if we overachieve and barely miss the playoffs then nobody at head office will be fired and this train wreck will be able to continue.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand they traded Karlsson. For NOTHING!!!! To who? Oh, just the Sharks, the same team that fleeced them for Hoffman, and then flipped Hoffman for more back to the Panthers. Not to mention they lose their 1st next year to Colorado in exchange for Duchene who doesn't look like he's going to pan out with the Sens. Also is Bobby Ryan and his $7.2M contract still with them? I'm a Leafs fan and as much as I dislike the Sens, this is truly painful. Here's to point nights for every visiting team in Ottawa this season.
