    Replace them with technology already, games can be decided because they have a bad eye or hold bias, ego gets damaged and they throw everyone out of the game...Players and Coach's can be penalized but refs and umps can do whatever they want and get away with it you can't even complain or call them out

  • @jackjon7763
    @jackjon7763 6 лет назад +13

    Human error has always been part of the game. It's more fun to watch when the strike zone isn't 100% consistent. The MLB umpires have a 99% consistent strike zone. At least it feels that way most of the time. Hell most of these umpires I disagree with until I see the replay and then I think damn this guy has a great eye because they don't mess up that often. These guys are the best of the best just like the pro athletes they make mistakes. There had never been a human without fault. And that is why professional sports are interesting, nothing is guaranteed, people make mistakes including the officials.

    • @davidli782
      @davidli782 6 лет назад +1

And Sid's anger was NOT "feigned", I also saw this live and he appeared to me to be truly angry. WITH GOOD REASON!! What gives some of these JACKASS, SELF-ABSORBED umpires the right to eject players/coaches from a baseball game FOR ABSOLUTELY NNOOO REASON?? People who take exception to this video apparently don't realise that ejections from games CAN and DO have direct impact on the outcome of some of these games.....and can influence whether teams make it to the postseason. And, as Sid said, the public wants to see THE PLAYERS PLAY, NOT some a$$hole umpire throw a player out for NOTHING!
      BTW.....Tim was laughing because what Sid said was pretty funny. I was killing myself at the time....and again watching it just now.

    I agree Major League Baseball has a problem with there umpires they hold grudges they use their authority to exert Revenge on teams or individual players seems like every baseball game you watch 30 minutes is spent by the umpires showing their ass they make bulshit calls and then expect no one to get upset with them and as soon as someone does their only recourse is to instantly throw them out of the game umpires are only bad when they allow the personal feelings to interfere with their job and when the umpires are blatantly prejudice the MLB does nothing about it the umpires are nothing but bad cops that are on the baseball field they walk around with their little badge do whatever they want with no fear of repercussion because the MLB has allowed them to be bullies for so long then has become the status quo

    • @RationalGaze.BingChillin
      @RationalGaze.BingChillin 6 лет назад +1

      Mr Lee yeah the strike zone is in the eye of the beholder. There is a general rule for the Zone but each umpire is different. It's a nuance of baseball that no other sport has. Pretty sure it's in the rule book. The umpires do make mistakes but for the most part they're very consistent. If they call high strike or low.
      In the NBA for example there is a definition of a foul. For traveling. By definition there are many fouls ignored and many traveling violations ignored.
      It's one thing to mistake a strike for a ball. It's A totally different thing to flat out ignore A violation. Lol. Plus the beauty of baseball is you get 3 strikes. If 1 mistake costs you a strike. That means you had a chance to put the other 2 balls in the strike zone in play.
      It's 3 strikes you're out. It's inherently fair.

    • @mrlee6895
      @mrlee6895 6 лет назад

      Clean Logic Fantasy Baseball I actually agree with just about everything you said. But you didn't address what I had said about the umpire calling a pitch outside the strike zone to "get back" at a player who complained about a previous pitch. That's very unprofessional and childlike and should not be tolerated at the Major League level.

    • @thecaynuck4694
      @thecaynuck4694 3 года назад

      Sorry dude, but you're not a baseball witness if you think umpires are that good. They have huge egos and do in fact get many calls wrong. It's the stupid reasoning they have when throwing people out that makes them the worst. Here's a more accurate list:
      1. NHL
      2. NFL
      3. NBA
