  • My 2006 Toyota Sequoia was in major need of an interior revamp. This first Gen Sequoia upgrade features many different mods, repairs, and paint matching to make the interior look immaculate. The LED interior paired with custom painted trim and speaker covers really makes the car look brand new. I also added floor mats and other mods. Thanks for watching.

Honestly, Weathertech mats are the way to go. The upfront cost of them pays off when I can take them out rinse them and then put them back in looking new. I was able to get the whole set for around 150 including the cargo cover. The tundra mats also work.

I just bought my 2002 limited two days ago. 2500 bucks with 192,000 reported miles. Everybody ran from it because it was missing all of the door latches on the inside, and the driver door panel is barely connected. Frame is nice, has exhaust already, engine looks awesome, and it drives like a dream. The only mechanical things that will need if you can even call it that are tires, alignment, either a thermostat or temperature sensor and that’s it. somebody put super cheap paint on the outside, and just simply didn’t put love into it when they had it. Window motors are starting to get old, dumb stuff. I said all that to say that I couldn’t turn it down, and I’m already attached to it, and this video is making me feel a lot better about my decision. Plus, a family friend that restores trucks has agreed to take it on as a project if I buy the parts and pay him for his time. I am definitely not the guy to do it myself lol. At least not the big stuff! I want it done right so she will look amazing ❤

How are you enjoying it? I’m probably buying a 2002 limited Friday. 227k miles for 5k

@@ethanpope410I’m glad you asked! He has had it for a month and is only now just fixing some of what it needs. Got tires and an inspection already though and she had no leaks or scary maintenance issues! She didn’t even need a thermostat or temp sensor. It is just a faulty gauge. Tough old girl. It was like this guy was TRYING to find something wrong and got so frustrated doing so that he started cursing when he pulled me aside to show me the battery was trash and it started right up lol. Just a loose connection. Fixing that too lol. I found all parts needed cosmetically for cheap on eBay including a replacement leather door panel. I should be back in it in about a week. After I get it back (he seems distracted so I finally just asked him to just do the important stuff) I’m taking it to another shop to install the toys I bought-50 inch LED light bar and ditch lights, CB radio, PA system with sirens and bull horn, wolfbox 12 inch rear view mirror replacement display and camera system, 11 inch iPad Pro cd player mount/bluetooth and FM transmitter with display etc etc 😂 can’t wait!! The custom shop owner works out of his home (had no idea), and has some physical difficulties. I think he means well so I am going to show the love of Christ and be patient and kind. Everyone needs a break sometime. Plus I put an AirTag in a secret spot so I can see “Gigi” (short for Gojira, or Godzilla) 24/7 anyway. Registration and tax was $475, full coverage insurance $52!!! I’m in Southern California. Check in with me in two weeks and I will let you know if I got her back yet 😂

@@ethanpope410 I’m trying! On a budget lol I know that was a lot lol. It has been a journey already. What I decided is that I’m not going to paint the truck, I’m going to leave it with that crazy work truck look, remove the resonator to make it even louder, and eventually go with off-road bumpers, some crazy off-road wheels, and even bigger tires. Frankenstein build with some really nice looking suspension components in the future. Gotta make it what you want! I hope things go well with your purchase! Worth it.

I haven’t swapped my gauge lights for led in my 04 yet, but I had some burned out door panel and dome lights so I did those along with the head/tail lights and fog lights. The led lights are definitely game changers !
Loved your idea on the speaker covers :)

    Dude.....?
Did you just replace all the interior door components with 'grey' color components?
Because from what I am seeing, your interior is tan (OAK) like mine. The ones you got are Not darker per se, but a completely different color altogether, right?
Or am I bugging. I know that these 1st gens had quite a bit of color combinations, but as far as the interior goes, pretty sure it was OAK, and GREY.
I got Natural White exterior paint, and interior, is Oak.
If I can go back, I would have found one with grey interior since I think it's more appealing. Also, it looks good with White.
It's just that every other car I see, or get in, the interior is almost 7 times out of 10, TAN!
Or at least to some degree. Or OAK or whatever....
