Squid inserts are awesome, I'm running several sets. Something that seems to get overlooked is the squid inserts are a good bit heavier than like a CI dual stage foam, I like the added weight down low some people may not.
Huh…yeah I wouldn’t have thought about that. But yeah that is an added bonus for sure. Dude I was blown away by house much better they were, I have kinda just thought the ruptures were sucky haha
squids are my favorite inserts! i have them in my ruptures, hyrax lp, and cut n shut hunks. the ones for the ruptures are soft like yours (softer than my 2.2 versions), but they put in work. i have had to slightly drop on shock fluid too to minimize any hopping since inserts are "springier" than foams and need a slightly different tune. once really dialed in its even more killer. insert firmness can be a good or bad thing too, you need a mix of contact patch, and pin point pressure/lug support. too soft and the tire can drive over itself, or let the lugs just fold over. softer also costs some ride height from extra squish. depends on the rocks, some rocks i found like "flat tire" inserts, others prefer it firmer. yours are looking to have a good mix of the two for your rig/terrain so far. and for your comment on the ruptures struggling due to lug spacing, ive had similar feelings at times when comparing to tusks for example. ruptures have great bite, but feel "notchy" in comparison to tusks. love seeing your growth too, in rig setup and driver skill. keep it up man!!
Where do you hear about the Squidn’serts? Just out of curiosity. dang man sounds like you know your stuff and have spent time dialing in your rig. It’s crazy to think about all the different effects of a tire insert. I typically run trenchers and hyrax so these definitely do have extra space. Appreciate the comment and support along my journey here. Means a lot! 👊🏼
Like the inserts, I would love to give them a try. As of now, I run proline and don't like them much. I know what your talking about the heat in Palm Springs 109°+. Stay safe
Dude you should pick up a set for sure. I’ve got a link in the description for ya ;) but yeah I’m wondering if my proline dual stage foams in my reaper are due for an upgrade
Looking there are a lot out there. The proline duals think are a little stiff. Going to try something I saw on another channel. hairbuns sounds funny. Stay safe and keep crawling
Man I was so stoked when I saw the thumbnail. I wanted to see you run just the inserts.
😂😂if only they were possible. Could be fun haha
Nice comparison. Thanks for sharing. I was at Axialfest.
