Nice to see a video with a truck just put together and ran, Makes me feel normal it's how I show up to comps haha.
@@curtkelsey2136 haha yeah I prefer driving over wrenching so this is how I roll most of the time. 😂
That truck is awesome
@@09tacoheadfred thanks! :)
It's been HOT here in Georgia so I haven't been RCing much foe a few months. Not the heat itself but the humidity is the worst man.
@@ericericwnelsonlivecom that’s rough! We are almost through the heat!
Okay, looks like you found out what the problem was. Glad it was nothing major. Did not sound good, but still a good rig on a bad day.
@@HindLegRC thanks to all you friendly people! It was a fun run for sure!!
Love this rig very nice video to watch 🤘✌️
@@shawnrichardson118 thank you! I enjoyed making it!
Pretty sure your gearing is to high for that revolver man. I was having the same issue and dropped a couple teeth on the pinion and no more jitter, butter smooth motor now.
How are you getting all the flex on your front end?... Rigs looking good, only thing I've done with mine is swapped the beadlocks from my Fusion and added some weight to all 4 corners...
Yooo you guys helped me solve the problem already….honestly it’s kinda embarrassing. But it was a screw hiding underneath that holds the transfer mount! 🤦🏻♂️ thanks for all your super helpful comments. This is why I LOVE the Hobby drop community! Thanks yall! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Could be the slipper clutch spring...had a similar noise.
At 2.17 I can see that the motor screw closest to chassis rail is cross threaded/loose, not seated flat. The bright silver rub mark on motor looks to be in perfect line with drive shaft grub screw... Having said all that though, it could be the motor which acts like a speaker.. its actually what gives you the beeps when you turn on your esc and lipo cell count beeps etc..(if you weren't aware its not the esc beeping) Forgive me if you knew this already. It does seem to appear to coincide with when its all being a little jerky at initial start up.. maybe programming or that loose screw allows the motor to vibtrate emitting that sound. I can also see the slipper disc and spur gear hex are out of alignment so it maybe slipping as revolvers are torque dense. You could remove friction material and line slipper disc up with the hex in spur gear to create a easy slipper eliminator. It's definitely not as smooth as it should be and pretty confident its electrical noise. Good luck, you will nut it out.. Cheers
Pinion mesh maybe? If not see if driveshafts are rubbing something
Bruh...that sound! I also thought that motor and driveshaft were making contact, but I noticed it making it when driving straight, flat, forward and reverse. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'd suggest propping up the truck where you can run it and twist it by hand so you can pinpoint where it's from and what it's doing. Also, check your CV joints at the knuckle, the pins are notorious for breaking. My son broke one and we only noticed while cleaning the truck, Redcat replaced it asap and free, of course.
Love the rear and rear 3/4 angle filming, where possible of course 🦾
Hey I appreciate that specific feed back! That’s helpful! I’ll definitely do that more!
The noise is,definitely the drive shaft hitting the motor. I ended up with the silver stripe from a pebble that got on the skid under the motor. But I have to say the Holmes revolver is my favorite motor out there.
@@Matt-it8jh I hope it’s that easy! I’m still not sold on revolvers. The hobby wing 2in1s are still my favorite
@@HobbyDrop you pair that revolver with the crawlmaster mini v3 and the right gearing. It will be so quiet and smooth. My redcat will absolutely tear itself apart if I'm not paying attention.
@@Matt-it8jh that’s the esc I’ve got! So I must need to figure out the tuning? It’s says it’s RTR 🤷🏻♂️
@@HobbyDrop huh I ran mine straight out of the box never tuned it. But I run different rock and my trucks geared way down. Its barely faster then a straight walk lol.
@@Matt-it8jh hahah yeah I think that might be the next thing I look into, I fixed the grinding. But I may need to go with a smaller pinion cause it cogs with a little bind
grass or something in spur gear
The silver stripe is not on his motors originally so I'm sure it's something hitting your motor.. may want to look into it more
@@brianbutton1591 mmmm I’ll look into it more! Thanks Brian
@@HobbyDrop your welcome. I looked at new Holmes motors and don’t see the silver strip that yours has that’s why I believe it’s hitting something mainly in reverse. Is when I heard it most.
@@brianbutton1591 I want to say when I first installed it. It was rubbing, but I thought I fixed it. I’ll double check though
You need to use a silent esc with that motor or you get that noise
@@nickbreen849 I’ve got the v3 esc as well. West desert wheeler has the same set up, and his is quite. So I think I have the right combo. Just something broken maybe
@@HobbyDrop sounds electricel not mechanical on my end anyway
@@HobbyDrop I have a Ascent and I just got some desert lizard shocks and the rock pirates bed shock towers from pirates on the way
Keep grinding. I enjoy the content and style
Looks like your motor is grinding on your driveshaft. I watched the whole thing. I love your rocks and rigs! The vids are long, but enjoyable. Folks these days have short attention spans.
@@MysticRiverRC eyy thanks man!! So maybe I should try doing 8-10 min videos?
@@HobbyDrop don't know. I'm trying 4-7 minutes now. I may start a run of 2.5-4.5 ones and just see where that goes. I heard posting shorts helps as well.
@@MysticRiverRC short form content with crawling is to show I feel like. Not real eye catching
Awesome location and the Coyote is performing well.👍🏾🔥
@@OGRadGrow I’m spoiled with the rocks around here. Coyote is good indeed!
Full views all videos conment most videos great content love the Red Rocks and the trails I have been on the last part but going up. Pinion spur mesh, maybe . I'm getting ready for Pro-Line by the fire, but my Capra not running right now snapped the axle housing, but I haven't fixed it yet. Liking the desert rc coyote chassis. And I'm still working on the Rock Pirates build. Stay safe, my friend
@@WandererOfTheDesert yes sir! You are one of the guys I’m talkin about! I appreciate all the support. Bummer you still haven’t been able to replace your axle. I’m wondering if it’s the pinion/spur mesh too…but idk
That front driveshaft looked like it might be getting into the motor
@@SCRedneckRC-Productions it’s close, but it’s not touching. I do have it glided into place tho :D so you may have been seeing that
Maybe there is a bad bearing someplace thats letting things get out of wack under load? Sure seems to cog when you heard the noise.
@@JW-cn6op ohhh like maybe something is broken in the trans?
I tend to go with cheaper wheels if they look good in the right offset. Im happy spending a lot more on expensive wheels if theyre matched to fit non rotational wheel weights such as dlux loaded dice or hardpark rc. Because this is the best possible way to add weight. Also I prefer light wheels, carbon or alumium over brass for sure
@@finlayclarke347 that makes sense! You just but according to the need. I can respect that for sure. 👍🏼 thanks for adding to the discussion
Why turn the shocks upside down??? That don’t make sense if you know how shocks work.
@@victordavis7461 it lowers the CG. But I’ve actually got they flipped back now.
Those tires came on the gen 7 sport too. And they are awful, I didn't run them long at all. My favorite tire ive tried is the megalithic. They will even grab the river rock up here in maine.
@@Matt-it8jh I have heard good things about the megalithic. The next tires ima try is the Proline Aztec
The problem with the tires is the tread depth. They are far too deep they work ok once they are shaved way down but never great.
@@ryano8613 well that’s how the proline super swampers are too right? And people have good luck with those?
Took my H10 out for the first time today…did okay but not stellar as a crawler. I did add the Fusion Pro and ran stock servo. The electronics were/are not great in my opinion but they do work lol. I’m currently adding 2.2 LP Hyrax tires and I will add brass up front in the near future. I bought this rig knowing that it wouldn’t slay insane lines but it would look awesome trying 😂. It’s a beautiful looking machine and I’m happy to have one in my fleet. Cheers!
@@mikeearls8158 that’s exactly where I’m at with this thing. I think it can be a solid crawler. But never one you would comp with
I just got some 2.2 x 5.25 Tusks for my optic with Exo’s inserts…….works great..
@@markcole6475 oh are they the new cheat code inserts?? I’m curious how good those are
Hahahaha i feel your frustrations here. Drag axle in tough cracks having to completely reset everytime then having phone issues and camera issues. Driving my class 2 definitely has a time and place hahaha. I had a day like this a few days ago. The trail is allll tough steep cracks with low traction but many times when you spin too much, the rear falls in and you have to completely reset. It was sooooo frustrating because it can all be done first try some days and then others i can only maybe get 10 percent of them. Its wild haha but part of the game
@@tjpighin dude that’s exactly how this one is! Sometimes I can get it quick! But most of the time it’s a battle :D
Great job the video was nice to watch 🤘✌️
@@shawnrichardson118 thank you! 🙏🏼
I like your channel. It's a WDW like : no awful music, tech comments instead, nice views close to the rig, struggling on the rocks and nice landscapes.👍 I must subscribe.😊 How do you hold the cam, while driving ? Any accessory to hang it to the transmiter ? Which kind of cam ? GoPro or smartphone ?
@@vdel9036 hey thanks dude! WDW was/is definitely an inspiration to me. I just use my iPhone, and an Amazon mic. I just hold it in my hand. Haha nothing fancy
So I took some of the 2.2 version off the wendigo and cut all the lugs off then flipped them inside out and they work really well on river rock. And they have ribbing on the inside that makes a weird tread pattern.
@@dcreager3 haha no way? That’s awesome. Super creative idea!
Hey mate, do you have the file for the 3d printed magnet body mount? Cheers for the great vid inspired me to do my own
@@aussiemtb the poizd mount??

@@shaynejenkins446 haha so you didn’t have any luck either huh? Cause yeah, they are bad
Is this car class 2?
@@myrcjourney1149 no, it’s more of an unlimited class. Unfortunately. I was thinking it would be my class 3 rig. But the chassis doesn’t extend closer enough to the center wheels. (At least for my local comps)
I do 1/24 scale crawling and 1/10 rock bouncing but I really think my next truck will be a Capra great video and commentary thanks🤘✌️
