I did this and variations of this back in the eighties, even went very far down the route of patenting the whole idea back in '99 but didn't follow through. I hit on making an engine when working for an avionics company called Muirhead Vestric, I actually used the insanely powerful magnets from a Harrier aircraft system motor and some very strong stainless steel rodding to make con rods and crankshaft and high expense jewelled bearings again from the trusty Harrier stuff. My patent covered also X and Y shaped configurations which could be modular bolted together to make multiples and used to replace petrol engines size for size. Had different concepts of air and magnetic bearings on the crankshaft preferring magnetic bearings for low friction and general air cooling with heat exchangers for anything that got very hot but my prototype ran perfectly for as long as one wanted, virtually no friction and just continual power motion.

This was fun to watch. As a note, the universe itself is all electric at its base, so every configuration of invention ought to be pointed in that direction. An anti-gravity machine was already invented using magnets and it really does work. THAT'S where we ought to concentrate our energies.

Amazing... Magnets have the potential to revolutionize engine performance. One of the main advantages of using magnets is the ability to generate force without direct physical contact. This can reduce the friction that usually occurs between the piston and the cylinder wall, thereby extending engine life and reducing the need for lubrication. In addition, with precise magnetic field settings, the resulting force can be regulated with high precision, allowing better control over machine performance 🥇❤🇮🇩😘🥰

I really like that thing. The only problem is that the force bringing the magnets together is equal to the force needed to separate them. You need some magnet-weakener-technology-that-does-not-use-too-much-energy when separating them to make it work.

I had a fantasy of something like this. What I imagined though was different. You already demonstrated that the 2 magnets can repel each other and be positioned somewhat like pistons. What I Imagined was First the magnets would be electromagnets and the sequence of their activation is controlled similarly to how spark plugs are sequenced. So when the electromagnet is activated, it one magnet would repel the another one which will act like the piston. It would be like an alternative way to propel an electric car, instead of being a perpetual motion device like this

Ok... what you need to do to make this work.
Remove piston heads and replace with iron rods.
Replace heads and place electo magnetic coils over each of the cylinders, with the iron piston rods going through the coil.
Hook up each coil to the distributor in the same firing order as the spark plugs.
So, as the distributor sends a spark during just past BDC, the magnet coil is activated, pulling the iron rod piston into the coil, then deactivates, while the next cylinder is pulled up, etc. Had this conversion in mind for decades but never pursued it .
    Try it.

The thing is, a machine somewhat like this can actually work. There are certain criteria that need to be met to make it work, and even more specification to make it work well. Perpetual energy machines do indeed work. You just have to be careful.... Never put it out to the public. Certain enemies are always watching.

No it cant. The rotational force that this can generate is balanced out by the energy needed to rotate it, its working against itself it would never move on its own and even if you somehow broke the laws of physics and thermodynamics it would still completely fail as soon as you put a load on it.

The idea is really great, we have recreated it, but only with a short stroke, so much less stroke but with larger magnets and we use it as a water pump, so as a drive for it. We don't have a Lada, maybe a Trabant, but that's too small for that.

This is idea is great putting a crankshaft which is a gravity system and putting together with a solenoid system .
Magnets get more powerful when they are in sets one in top each other together with electricity and with a freezing system that Will make very more powerful.
With a extra same thing like a gas to support or energized Stones like the space stones etc
Almost like the space ship flying around the universe.
Same Space ships are using a rotation system on a replying system ( electric stones from drc, magnets, vapor pressure, hidrogen, etc ) that what makes them more powerful

The laws of physics is what they say it is, we are so conditioned to accept what has been forced on us, we are so far back from the charge of the innovation charge of the 50's and 60's focusing on nonsense like string theory the topological quantum field theory. We are held hostage by limited physics in academia, funders wont allow us to get into innovative fields, with the secrecy act of 51, we are not allowed to prod in certain places, so when I read the hardest part is to hide the batteries, I get so sad, because we are conditioned to stop ourselves from imagining beyond the convenient laws of physics that has been surpassed in the 1950's by Nazi scientist. Your son is funded by same people who keep us captured and so am I.

I see comments saying its a joke but if it was wouldn't they make it look heaps faster. Only thing I was wondering if it would last is plastic barrels and wooden frame aswell as the steel pipe.

A variation could be powerful solenoids on top of each cylinder, using essentially the same valve system as an ordinary combustion engine. One interesting fact is that magnets can produce more power than the energy required to shilf their poles.
