Waco Texas, I'm going to change my small kitchen laminate counter tops (28 sq feet)in the spring of 2025 when I finally have extra money (3 teen daughters with braces lol) using the white marble artist kit. I've been watching videos for a year or 2 now just to make sure I don't get confused andnow I finally feel confident I can do it. I had a stroke while pregnant and after a lot of physical therapy (and stubbornness 😉 ) I work part time as a counselor and diy is my jam! Thank you guys for all the videos and being awesome!
SOOOOOFA KING TRUE!!!! He ALSO means less powder in the less epoxy!!! So if your using 3-5 scoops of Micah powder of blues and whites in 9 oz of epoxy use 1/2 or 1/3 of a scoop in 2-3 oz of dark colors… my blue Van Gogh granite (lots of people “liked it”) did not turn out the way I wanted…. 1.5 scoops in 2oz of epoxy took over 48 oz of blues and white
@@tyedyegye0968 so I have 3 wooden mixing sticks…the kind they get for free when you buy a gallon of paint… the tongue depressor size and the small popsicle stick…. Using the small popsicle stick, stick it into the micah powder and pull out as much as you can WITHOUT spilling!!!!! And I mean any…. No dribbles as you go towards the cup or misses when you pour it in…. That’s what I told my kids when they were adding the powder to the epoxy… it’ll be close I think it’s like around 1/3 or a teaspoon = a scoop More is better on the blues and whites and I’d recommend black primer not the white with blues and whites… weirdly it makes em pop more!!!! Just remember not to add more than 10% of the weight of Micah to epoxy….. which is WAY MORE THEN YOU THINK!!!! I’d add some white dye to the white metallic if you’re going over anything it just helps it stay white….. Ask me anything else cause I’m very meticulous and nit picky… another way to not have your dark colors over take everything is mix some epoxy 30 min before just for the dark colors and they will be more “set” and spread less
Hey Mitch. Liked the piece more before you added the darker colors. Is there a way I could send you pictures of my tile floor I’m wanting to coordinate the colors for it my flooring so it goes together rather than clashes or too busy.
The countertops are very durable and last a very long time especially with our Ultimate Top Coat as a final layer. It's designed for the wear and tear found in the kitchen. The coating is heat resistant up to 450 degrees and it's best if u put a cutting board with feet under your crackpot that will be hot all day long. U got this!!❤🎉

Hey guys, I am wanting some pro tips. Because I'm going to be doing an old garden tub in a lapis lazuli colors. And doing my bath/shower walls with foam.
As an artist I think you overwork it. I think you should pour slower and vary how high you hold the bucket above the surface. Try going up and down instead of doing huge clean sweeps.
Honestly, I had a hard time watching this. It seems your lighting is dark. Maybe that’s because you aren’t using your normal area? But mostly, I was getting sea sick. I’m new to your channel and don’t know if it’s common or you have a professional camera person who is on vacation. You are making me want to get my resin out again 😊
This is great and all, but you can't really "tilt" a countertop. I wish you treated this as stationary. Definitely makes it much less useful to the vast majority of your audience.

Tape dam is to hold the epoxy back until it's thicker so you don't loose it all over the side .

it looked better before you added all the dark colors. should have added more light colors. of course my opinion.
