Reasons why an alligator will absolutely murk you : 1. An alligator's hide is practically bullet proof (I'm talking small guns like a Smith & Wesson model 57 or 22 Magnum) , so there's no way your knife is going to deal any damage at all. Stabbing it in the head won't work either as the skull of an alligator is 3 cm of solid bone, layered with hide and osteoderms, and I highly doubt a human wielding a knife can penetrate that. 2. Alligators have a bite force of 2,125 psi, which is roughly 2.18 times the bite force of a grizzly bear. Not only that, an alligator's tail is basically like two elephant trunks covered in osteoderms. Basically, an alligator can kill you on either side of its body. 3. Mounting the gator is a terrible idea, as if you were to some how mount the alligator, you wouldn't last long because it will simply roll onto its back, ending you. Once that happens, your chances of survival is practically zero, as a fully grown alligator weighs anywhere between 230-420 kg. In summary, there's virtually no way you could kill an adult gator with melee weapons.

Reasons why an alligator will absolutely murk you :
1. An alligator's hide is practically bullet proof (I'm talking small guns like a Smith & Wesson model 57 or 22 Magnum) , so there's no way your knife is going to deal any damage at all. Stabbing it in the head won't work either as the skull of an alligator is 3 cm of solid bone, layered with hide and osteoderms, and I highly doubt a human wielding a knife can penetrate that.
2. Alligators have a bite force of 2,125 psi, which is roughly 2.18 times the bite force of a grizzly bear. Not only that, an alligator's tail is basically like two elephant trunks covered in osteoderms. Basically, an alligator can kill you on either side of its body.
3. Mounting the gator is a terrible idea, as if you were to some how mount the alligator, you wouldn't last long because it will simply roll onto its back, ending you. Once that happens, your chances of survival is practically zero, as a fully grown alligator weighs anywhere between 230-420 kg.
In summary, there's virtually no way you could kill an adult gator with melee weapons.
