Nodosaurs, despite not having clubs like ankylosaurs, would probably leave you even worse off.
Their armor and spikes went all the way down their tail, making it less like a hammer and more like a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. I would give it 3 if it strikes the heart or head, but otherwise, it's a 6 as it gives you agonizing time to ponder how you got yourself into this mess.
Anyone who sees a lizard crossed with a turtle and a nail board and thinks, "Let's approach it!" Probably deserved what they got.

As someone who works with raptors, nothing scares me more than the Phorusrachids. Modern day raptors do not give a crap whether their prey is alive or not when they start eating because killing takes time, and every other predator around is looking for someone whose just made a kill to steal their food. Not to mention, they had raptor claws to do the RPR (raptor prey restraint) .... absolutely terrifying!

i fucking hate how some people actually think sauropods would not use their tails as whips because "it would hurt themselves"
like there are literally lizards that will remove their tails completely but some torn muscles is unbelievable?

Well said I agree with you those people are irrelevant like wtf injure itself by defending against threats what is next an elephant will hurt his trunk while striking it against a predator? Those people are dumb it shows they underestimate the power of animals big iguanadonts hadrosaurus used their massive powerful tail to defend themselves as well very most likely because of course they could my personal theory I believe some megatheropods used their massive tails as a weapon to fight their own kind for territory or mating most of them have powerful tails

10:39 I’m happy that the Haast Eagle was mentioned! It’s one of my favorite extinct animals, and definitely would have been an amazing and terrifying animal to encounter in real life. An 8 out of 10 rating is appropriate, and I’d argue an even higher rating wouldn’t be out of the question. A 40 pound eagle slamming down on you at high speeds while slashing away with their giant talons sounds like a horrible way to go. Moa and the first humans of New Zealand would probably give it a 10 out of 10 on the pain scale.

Gotta love how movies feature people being bitten halfway down the torso by a tyrannosaur, only to thrash around and panic before being torn apart further. Even if they didn't use all their bite force, I highly doubt a tyrannosaur wouldn't snap your spine with that bite. With jaws that powerful, and likely being used to small prey being quick prey, the tyrannosaur would want to grip hard and quick, ensuring their snack doesn't wiggle free (or, if it does, it's too injured to run).

Did the Dunky have bones in its eyes? All skull fossils always have this round bony eye in them...how armoured was that fish.?

To be honest, I' rather put either a 3 or 6 due to the fact that first, we know haast eagle actuly hunted moas due to the traces on a moa's pelvis, which proves it was capable of damaging bones while attacking a prey, second, its talons were the size of tiger's claws and third, raptors tend to attack high parts on their targets, wich means a haast eagle attack would have either ended in an almost instantly fatal head injury ; due to the eagle's momentum, the impact on the ground, and the tiger claws-sized talons possibly even piercing the skull, putting on a 3, or by piercing/crushing the rib cage respectively due the talons and to the momentum.

Thank you. I addition, I have heard a terror bird such as phorussrachos or titanis could have been able to split a human skull open with its beak. If terror birds used their beaks like a pickaxe to kill preys, I would personally put such an attack between 3 ; if we ignore the gory details and if it aims well enough to damage the stem brain ; and 7 or 8 if it doesn't aim well and if we take the gory details into account.

Putting Aectodus Simus at a 4 makes me doubt the entire list; *Bears eat you while you are ALIVE, they don't kill you or wait.* Once they've pacified you (mauled you to weakness) its feeding time.
Do you think the mega version is going to wait or kill you first? Its just stronger.

Rhizodus is a good fit for the teeth and beaks category with its 22cm fangs it would have used to impale other lobe-finned fish and amphibians with before devouring them. Stratodus is another good fit for the category since its what you get when you take a lizardfish and give it characteristics if an elasmosaurid, a sawfish, and a billfish essentially allowing it to sneak up on schools of fish and thrash the heck out of them with its tooth cover jaws.

R.e. the rhinos: there was an old study that inferred the behavior of fossil rhinos based on their skull morphology. The author doubted that Elasmotherium's horn was a good weapon due to its placement and the shape of the occipital region (Mazza & dal Socio, 1993). As for Coelodonta, the nasal horn was very laterally compressed and had a blunt tip. Cave art suggests it was indeed used for fights, but puncture on Coelodonta skulls are conical, not laterally compressed. This suggests the shorter, but stout conical horn on the frontal bone (behind the nasal horn) was the main weapon for piercing the faces of rivals (Guthrie, 2005). Both could probably just ram a person and instantly kill them.

I would honestly give Pachyrhinosaurus a higher score, assuming it’s not against Brick wall that is. It would leave you with multiple broken bones and internal bleeding and ruptured vital organs, leaving you for a slow, painful, agonizing death.
