Ok so I just made this but with a dairy free heavy crème. It tasted good but I won’t know how they set until tomorrow. I’m excited and nervous. Either way I will eat. It did thicken a bit one the lemon juice got into it. I’ll update tomorrow.
@@Dowellcooks so I just tried it after church it’s been in the refrigerator since 9pm and it’s 12 pm. Um it was not thick I would say. The consistency was more of melted ice cream that was still cold. It tasted good but I’ll just do the dairy next weekend.

📝Ingredients 📝 ⚫️5 lemons cut in half filling removed ⚫️1 full lemon zest ⚫️1 full lemon juice ⚫️2 cups heavy cream ⚫️2/3 cup sugar 🍴Steps🍴 1)Start by mixing together your heavy cream and sugar in a medium sauce pan. heat this till a heavy simmer for 8 minutes, remove from heat and stir in lemon zest / juice. 2)Transfer the liquid into your serving dishes or halved lemons. place in fridge for 30minutes - overnight. 3)add a small amount of sugar to the top of the lemon and using a blow torch toast the sugar. And enjoy!
