I think it would‘ve made sense to differentiate between acute (most often affecting the lung) and chronic (mostly extrapulmonary manifestations) sarkoidosis, and also briefly mention that there are special types such as Löfgren syndrome, Heerfordt syndrome, or manifestations of the bones.

One of my friend is suffering with sarcoidosis since 2018 which has effected multiple organs. He has started taking steroid medicines. Also, he got side effects of sarcordosis like onculor, dermao, kidney stones ,calcuim deffeciency....etc. Unfortunately he was involved in a legal case and there are possibilities of getting Jail Term. Is it Safe for him to suffer in Jail with this Disease and its side effects. Due to Jail, his health may go more worse ?
Please someone PLEASE HELP ME was diagnosed with this 3yrs ago & the bumps appearing on my nose area makes me feel so uncomfortable cant afford health insurance someone please lead me to the right direction
Make sure you are eating a healthy diet. I was diagnosed with this 6 months ago, and changed my diet. I stopped eating fast food, and started preparing my own meals again. Some might say it is extreme, but I cut out all processed foods, foods with added sugar, dairy, and processed grains. But I still eat really well. I had to search for new foods that I enjoyed eating. The key is to eat foods that are naturally anti-inflammatory. Some refer to this diet as a "nutritarian diet" - search for it, and "anti-inflammatory foods". I started to feel better almost immediately, and take no medication. My cousin was diagnosed with this around the same time as well, but I don't think he changed his diet, and he is on the steroid prednisone, which has lots of negative side effects.
I'm sorry, it SUX but it's kinda here to stay! Ice had it for 11 years now but with meds it can be stabilized. Only the meds make me sick for 2 or 3 days a week.
I had it in my lungs in the year 2013 and i was on steroids for more than a year but sadly from last few days i m again starting to notice the same symptoms ☹️. I m too scared and this is very painful.
Pain in Sarcoidosis is often vastly underestimated by the medical profession, which is very disturbing for patients. Please speak with you doctor about your symptoms, and pain relief. Don't be scared. There is help available.
Hi, I have question I’m woman My old 51years have lung sarcoidosis since 4years I have strange pain in my end jaw since two weeks so far I went two time at dental and got x-ray I thought something in my teeth but dentist Dr say nothing issue as dental. So Is it possible that I suddenly develop some side effects in the mouth?
I hope you're not a medical student. The explanation in this video is a very superficial overview that can help in undergrad tests but not in real medicine. this is basically like someone reading a one paragraph summary of the disease. If you had a hard time listening to your professor, then make an effort understanding this disease deeply.
I have this and it's NOJOKE!! I have it in both lungs all over my skin and am currently getting my heart checked. This video kinda makes lite of this disease. Mine i thought was going away but came back full force an it's not good!!!

Ha-Ha! I’m discovering that sarcoidosis is mentioned in every other episode of the House series. Watching it on a binge I’m learning more about it and the treatments I went through than I got from my doctors.
I want to know why in medicine they use the term African American. Does this apply to any person of African descent living exclusively in the US? Does it apply to other American nations like those in the Caribbean? What about those of us who are of afro caribbean and of european descent who live in Europe? Do all medical students and practitioners know who is and isn't "African American"? From my personal opinion and experience there is such a lack of basic knowledge on such things in the medical field which is a contributing factor for why many of us die at much higher rates than people of European descent.
I love Osmosis but I totally agree with this!!! I’m of African heritage myself, but I’m not American in ANY way! Why is every black person ‘american’?? I’ve always had this question !! Its like, so what even though I’m of African heritage, I’m not at risk cause I’m not American…….????? Mate
@@Circee11 Black people in America are not genetically distinct from black people anywhere else unless they have no admixture at all. I'm partly Jamaican, and there are lots of Caribbean people in Europe, we are technically "African American" but aren't grouped as such. An African person with no admixture from other continents is not different if they live in the States or in Europe, their risks will remain the same as well. Unless I'm missing something you're trying to explain?
Because Osmosis is a US company. Most data they have and care to research is about (US) Americans. Especially if you pay attention to epidemiology. They will generally cite "Africa" in general when needed but become specific when it comes to US states. That's how Us-based medicine is.
sarcoidosis is because the heart isn't heating and cooling blood enough to send the right amount of blood to the body which is why it affects the lungs A needle to change blood temperature would cure this disorder It takes blood, changes its temperature and puts it back in the body the changed temperature Large viens makes the body have to use more oxygen to send blood A needle that changes blood temperature makes veins more narrow so they don't need so much oxygen to move blood making it so the lungs don't have to work so hard

I guess its meant to simplify the understanding of the disease major features and we should do the rest and study further ;)

According to the Mayo Clinic chapter on Sarcoidosis states that "African American AND SCANDINAVIAN women" are the largest category!
It would have been better if you had gone into the chronic version more.

I’m in nursing school and I’m scared of everything now 😂
The term (osis) doesn't mean disease.
It mean "condition or state"
are the general symptoms specific for sarcoidosis or can it appear in any interstitial lung disease?
it can appear in any interstitial lung diseases or autoimmune diseases
I am also surviving with Sarcoidosis effective in lungs. Diagnosis with styroids from 2018.

I think the implication is that the disease is more common in African/black Americans, not black europeans, Africans or islanders.

Those who are Scandinavian also have genetic risk factors.
Why did God have to make the human body so bloody complicated?
sarcoidosis is because the heart isn't heating and cooling blood enough to send the right amount of blood to the body which is why it affects the lungs
A needle to change blood temperature would cure this disorder
It takes blood, changes its temperature and puts it back in the body the changed temperature
Large viens makes the body have to use more oxygen to send blood
A needle that changes blood temperature makes veins more narrow so they don't need so much oxygen to move blood making it so the lungs don't have to work so hard
Maybe it will do damage
