This was very informative, i'm in my mid 50's and have had RA for 42 years, 8 joint replacements due to the deformities. The knowledge and treatment has come such a long way from when i was first diagnosed which is fantastic to see.
To all the RA specialists, researchers, medical students, GPs , Physios and anyone else involved in making the lives of people with RA easier, i say Thank you very much.

Nicy Nu, I cured my own RA. Its the food we ate that caused the RA.
      1) Avoid carbs and sugar ( It glycate our membranes and cells, and traces of round up chemical end up in our cells, and our immune system attack those)
      2) Avoid all vegetables oils (peanut, canola, corn, grapeseed, flaxseed), because our cells start to incorporate those inflammatory lipid into our cells, and our immune system see it as foreign pathogen. Only take avocado oil, olive oil , bacon grease or beef tallow, because they dont oxidized as much and not inflammatory.
Hope this reach your and cured all your pain. No more RA pain for me since I adopted clean KETO and IF lifestyle.

Thanks for the great video. Keep up the good work! I hope you will do a video soon, explaining why being vegan is a moral imperative because it's great for human health, the environment, and of course, the animals, who are harmed so much in factory farming, terrified and alone at the end of their lives, which are cut short because of humanity's greed. Thank you for considering these points and to all of you who are reading this comment and already vegan.

As a patient with rheumatoid arthritis and as a patient educator (occupational therapist), I LOVE this video, this has the most visually appealing images and clear explanations I have seen! The only thing I would add is to the diagnosis section at 10:22 - it's not only blood work and X-rays, but according to my rheumatology team, the patient's medical history, subjective report and a physical exam are essential for diagnosing. Someone who has seronegative RA in particular may not have blood markers but may still have RA.

I hope that you will accept this note from me, because no matter what we do, we will not return anything from your favor.

Hello. I was diagnosed with RA when I was 44 years old. I am anti-CCP positive, my father had severe RA starting when he was 50 years old and my grandmother (father's mother) was bedridden for 13 years from RA.
Just want to thank you for this video was done very well.
My only advice on this video is to mention that some people with RA do not present as clearly as you describe. I had red, swollen and inflamed extremely painful joints, but they were NOT always on both sides at the same time, especially in the beginning symptoms, this led to a delay in my diagnosis as most doctors are taught that it resides on both sides.
Many times, my flares would start in one joint for about 4 to 5 days, then a few days later show up in the other side's joint and be much less painful/swollen.
Just wanted to add this for anyone who is having difficulty getting diagnosed.
Thank you for your incredible video, so much appreciated!!!

      I feel for you.
Have you ever tried intermittent fasting. Or fasting of any kind? Extended fasting? Juice fasting?
And when eating, Eliminating ALL grains (not just gluten free) and other foods especially Processed foods, refined sugar.
And Getting some good probiotics to heal the gut.
These things can reduce pain and inflammation for some people. It is worth a try.
I have RA. For many years. I've not completely got rid of it. But i do the above things that i mentioned and it does help reduce the inflammation and pain quite a bit. I am still working on healing completely. I'm sure there is more to it and
I am sure for myself personally there's emotional and spiritual reasons as to why I do not always stick with the things I've mentioned.
But I assure you everytime I've implemented fasting, my symptoms reduce significantly.
Recently I had a big flare up.
Really bad. In tears. Hard to walk.
I didn't want to go on steroids which is the usual approach when in a bad flare.
I feel the flare up was due to me basically not taking care of myself properly, eating unhealthily, too much sugar and under a lot of emotional stress. A lot. Maybe there's other reason too. But don't know. It was my first flare in a very long time.
I immediately went to intermittent fasting and cleaning my diet up. Fresh Juicing every day. I did a 40 hour water fast too.
And Taking time to meditate to lower stress.
Within a week the swelling in my knees reduced a lot and the fiery pain all over my body calmed Down a lot too. And 2 weeks on still intermittent fasting, juicing, eating cleanly, only veggies and fruit, some fish, grass fed beef, good fats like olive oil, coconut oil, avocado.
      symptoms reduced even more so.
It is worth a try. Please give it a try.
I am still working on healing completely. I'm sure there is more to it for me to completely heal. But I know we can heal from it. There is an answer.
I do not believe that there is "no cure" as the medical field says.
I hope you find answers and get better.
      Be strong, don't give up.

Drugs can be a life saver for some, I'm not disputing that. But for me and for some other RA sufferers, drug therapy doesn't seem to work enough.
I have been on every drug out there for RA. Methotrexate, Imuran, Plaquinil, gold, remicade infusions, prednisone, on and on etc. And it has never stopped the disease or cured it or give me my life back. I have bad joint damage. I Have always had symptoms. I've had an aggressive kind of RA.

Tried and tested best cures for RA:
Please trust me and do this
      1. Daily sun exposure for atleast 20 to 30 mins
      2. Raw ginger grated and boiled in one glass of water - Drink this concoction before bed
      3. Consume 4 to 5 pieces of Raw onion in every meal
      4. Eat food between 10 AM and 7 PM. Preferably a light dinner for that includes cooked vegetables with less rice or one roti.
      5. Practice yoga nidra 3 times a week with self help videos available in youtube
If your RA is in starting stage the above will definitely help. Make it a lifestyle and your inflammation will be in control.

Usually the reason why T lymphocites become to be hyperactive on some place in body, is chronical inflamation itself. Typically after bacteriological or virological infection in that place, immune system start to be hypersensitive on some remnants of RNA of virus or bacteria which left on that damaged place and T lymphocites reacting on those zombie RNA even when infection itself is long dead by medication. That starting vicious cycle where own immune system through hyperactive T lyphocites attacking own body tissues, releasing cytokines causing more damage, which dragging to that place more T lymphocites causing more damage and all this result in condition when repair capacity of body is overcome and chronical inflamation developing.

Try earthing, it's free and effortless and is good for almost all health problems including arthritis. Go DIY a grounding mat, pillow or sheet to use at home, no need to buy.

    • @penguinshoes7928
      @penguinshoes7928 4 года назад +2

I am familiar w/earthing, but don't know how effective it is for RA. Consider 40mg collagen with 10mg undenatured type II collagen. It may be just enough to pull the immune system back from the joints, Green tea inhibits RANKL, which also plays a role in breakdown of bone. RA patients tend to be high in copper, low in zinc- there's a balance between them in the body. Hydroxychloroquine is a zinc ionophore- boosts zinc into the cells, which can improve RA and lupus. Zinc picolinate is a good form, while oxide is not. Zinc plays a role in stabilizing the endothelium (inner lining of arteries) as well as normalizing inflammatory cytokine signaling for TNF alpha. EGCG in green tea is a natural zinc ionophore, as is quercetin- they do what hydroxychloroquine does. Natural IL-6 inhibitors include curcumin from turmeric, boswellia serrata, and devil's claw. Devil's claw was found comparable to diclofenac for moderate to severe arthritis. Until there is a cure, this should help. I want to improve treatment protocols for many conditions. Ask your doctor before starting anything. Look up any of this at PubMed.

      @@penguinshoes7928 hey how are you?
saaz(methatroxate) gives me side effects and i am on biologics which is not that effective anymore
what do you think about fish oil? or going on keto for ra
or can you give me some more valuable info drs dont say all this
i will start green tea soon

    • @penguinshoes7928
      @penguinshoes7928 3 года назад

@@madhu5465 fish oil is anti-inflammatory. Boosting vitamin D level is also important. There is a 25 OHD blood test you can ask for. Your level should be at 60. Ability to absorb vitamin D declines with age and in those with darker skin. 40mg of undenatured type II collagen should also help.
I haven't read about a keto diet and RA.
I mentioned zinc picolinate because it is well-absorbed, but consider taking zinc gluconate, a source of special zinc cations, which block viruses at multiple steps, and do a lot more at a cellular level.
If you do take curcumin, ideally theracurmin is best absorbed. Curcumin forte is also well-absorbed. At least get a BCM95, which has all the curcuminoids, and take with a pinch of black pepper to increase absorption.
Natural products can take time to start working, and if you took 5000mg of vitamin D it might take a month to start to show an increase in levels.
      Good luck.

One of my best friends just got diagnosed with this, so I'm trying to learn more about it. It really sucks not being able to help. I was hoping to learn more about the process to see if at any point, mRNA vaccines could stop the process of inflammation and possibly promote remission. I have no idea how this would work though. I was thinkimg alomg the lines of making specific parts of the body create proteins that inhibit the immune response in some way.
