Elvis actually had two Jetstars that he bought at different times. Other notable celebrity Jetstar owners were comedian Bob Hope, singer Frank Sinatra, and President Richard M. Nixon, who's version looked like Air Force One. Of course, arch villain Auric Goldfinger had one too.😉
Not that it matters, because I know you’re only quoting wikipedia or one of the two or three generic articles that state it, but my internet research nose/skills call baloney on the Frank Sinatra Jetstar. First and foremost, there’s ZERO details on the aircraft, no registration number, no photos, no anecdotes or stories, etc. But nearly equally important, Sinatra’s first jet was a tiny Lear 23, then a Gulfstream II, then at one point for a short time, even a 707. There is ZERO chance or reason that Sinatra would have taken a SERIOUS downgrade from ANY Gulfstream (which he could readily afford at any point) down to a 20 or 30 year old small, noisy, outdated by a mile Jetstar for ANY reason. I will state it that the handful of articles which just copy/paste the same text that’s in wikipedia as well, have no background basis or fact. Also, I think you’re just looking at an article/wikipedia post on the Jetstar that’s showing one of the USAF jetstars and talking about Nixon owning a private one. There’s no way he obtained, repainted, or would have been allowed to use the air force paint scheme. It’s just an example picture in general.
No, LBJ did not “have one” in Air Force colors (like Nixon’s private one, which I’m also doubting a bit), he USED them while in office, then they were retired to the Air Force boneyard in Arizona. Once was found there, repainted in full air force one colors (when in use, they probably only had Air Force/MATS general paint schemes), then moved to his ranch for display. He never owned a private jetstar in AF1 colors or not.
The original Elvis jet was purchased by Jimmy's World youtube channel. He wanted to restore it and fly it, but it was sitting for too long, and it couldn't be restored to flight worthy condition. So he turned it into an Recreational Vehicle (motor home) and took it to the oshkosh airshow in Wisconsin and shared it with the world. I'm sure he will ve taking it to other places as well. His channel is all about restoring planes. 👍 Awesome video, as always. AvAngel, thank you for showcasing this aircraft and giving your honest opinion. 👍
actually jimmy bought elvis's second jetstar the one elvis used the most besides his 707 lisa marie was the hound dog ii which had a different paint scheme the red one jimmy turned into an rv was never given a name because elvis bought it a year before he died hound dog ii is still on dislpay with lisa marie at graceland
Never bought from Big Radials (as I'm not a fan of Warbirds), but if this winds up being EVEN A SPECK as good as the Lear 35, I will absolutely buy it day one. I've found myself becoming more of a fan of analog cockpits as time goes on.
Nice! A flying Elvis RV the way it was suppose to be today! COol. Will there be 2 versions? One Jetstar and one RV? hehe. Im surprised Jimmy bought it for what he paid. I see not even one single photo of him in that Jetstar. I believe staff/family yes but not the King. Anybody else find photos of him in the Lockheed Jetstar? I found this: Elvis purchased this Lockheed JetStar aircraft for $899,702.60 on September 2, 1975 while he was awaiting delivery of The Lisa Marie. On October 8, 1975, Milo High, Elvis' personal pilot of the JetStar took Elvis and five others on a brief one-hour for the first time.

It's quite an interesting aircraft. By the way, a Jetstar was featured in the most expensive aerial stunt ever performed on film, when John Lithgow and his gang decided to rob a DC-9 mid air (Cliffhanger). They almost got away with it, too - that is, until Sly decided to have words with them!
I was just wondering, you must have many many many MSFS aircrafts. Do you get to fly them all still, when not creating a video, or are they all collecting dust in the virtual hangar? Whats you most go to offline casual flying aircraft? Thanks for another great video.
I do not no. I don't have about 3/4 installed. The ones I do have, I'll fly and relax and enjoy. I never really fly online, it's not my vibe unless it's for a thing.
Excellent vid as always! May I ask: How do you map the throttles to suit 3 or 4 engined aircraft? Also, is there much chatter in the software developer world about modelling wear-tear/mishandling damage consequences as a more default standard in their products? This plane is very interesting and looks tops so far, might rival the F-28! The undercarriage track does look relatively narrow, wondering if the Spicey ground handling is surprisingly accurate? Cheers. 👍

Perhaps I can help you with finding your position. I'm a big fan of early access as a way for smaller groups to be able to release a product without needing big money behind them. Many people don't seem to understand how much money it takes to build a module, let alone a study grade module. Early access allows smaller teams to pay for their development without needing to have millions of dollars set aside. Keep in mind the amount of time it takes to build a module, or a game for that matter. Indie developers that aren't using early access will not collect any income while they are building the game. This means that only people who can afford to not collect income for months or years will be able to build modules. This obviously reduces the talent pool in an already small talent pool of devs competent in aeronautical engineering. Without early access, we are left with only companies and individuals who are rich enough to not collect income for an extended period of time. Like any good thing, this can be taken advantage of. Most of the time, I feel that people's issues with early access are the result of ignorance of the game development life cycle and not actual issues with early access. keep in mind that bug fixing is the last step of a dev cycle. We can't debug features that don't exist. This is why a beta might be feature complete but still be a buggy mess. Early access also allows devs to begin debugging systems before becoming feature complete, however it does seem to allow a lot more regressions to creep in. This can extend debugging sometimes, I have noticed this at my company where I develop a lot of "pilot programs" (early access but for B2B software features.)
@@petlemons I have a very different point if view. I'm more pro consumer. It may be an advantage to developers, but my concern is with my own pockets. Instead of a cool new indie game, we get call of duty 301 because publishers won't take risks. It's not developers that are putting terrible monetization in their games, that is business execs and publishers. I just want my friends to build the games they want to make, not the games that are most profitable. They will never be able to make these games without early access. Without early access they need to get millions of dollars from billionaires, and the billionaires will decide what they make. I love this industry and I don't want it to die. That's why we need to be realistic as consumers and vote with our wallet. If you don't buy early access games, or take risks with indie studios. You will be left playing only shitty ubisoft open world games. That doesn't sound very good to me. You can be pro-consumer and also be educated on the realities of doing business. I would argue that you need to be knowledgeable on the functioning of the industry, otherwise you could accidentally take anti-consumer positions. Your current position is anti-consumer and unintentionally pro-big business because you are advocating for the removal of a pro-consumer tool (Early access)

Without early access they need to get millions of dollars from billionaires, and the billionaires will decide what they make.
It's unfortunate, but while you might believe that you are being pro-consumer, your position is actually working against you and playing into the hands of the Microsofts, Sony's, Nintendo's, and Ubisoft's of the world.
@@TJ.Turner Remember, choice and competition is pro-consumer. Monopolies are not
Early access? More like 'early excess' of bugs and unfinished features. Hope the final product is worth the wait!
