Wow!!! This video was awesome! Thank you Nick, for showcasing another beautiful scenery creation from Clifford Designs. This man is absolutely phenomenal in his skills and talents where MSFS scenery is involved. This was (visually) a very stunning and enjoyable flight.
Yep, and it's just getting better and better.
We in the sim world are fortunate to have such talented developers like Clifford Designs making our sim world so much more enjoyable.
What a great time to be alive when there are sceneries like this available! Kudos to Cli4D for a better than professional quality add-on, respect to the pilot for making me hold my breath too! Thank you for sharing guys)
Couldn't agree more!
That river is where I want to enjoy a brew with lunch. Then take a dip. Hey, lets go skinny dipping!!😅😅😅Amazing how major of a differance water makes
Here's something scary and hilarious ... the following is a RUclips AI generated response to your comment: "I think Cliff would enjoy skinny dipping in that river. Too bad it's not real. Maybe in the next sim..."
Hey man! Thanks again for the nice words. This is definitely made for helicopter exploration in mind. It's quality over quantity. I tried to make something I have dream of doing since I started making sceneries. I will try to improve it more on future updates. I will definitely try to check the area you suggested on your email as well later. Have a great day and I will see you again on the next one..🫡
It's amazing, man. Really great job. You are pioneering the future of landscape possibilities in the sim.
That looks so good. Can't wait for 2024 so you can get out and have a walk around at the destination.
Stuning hopefully the Falls will be that amazing in 2024, there are a lot of my list and in the world.
This would look so much better with 2024 trees and textures. But it is awesome.
Nice flying Nick!
We need to collaborate on a video, I think. You pick the location, and I'll fly with you and talk technique about approaches, exits etc.
I'd love that! I've been wanting to smooth out the recording side of a multi-channel aduio feed anyway. I'll hit you up via Discord, and we'll strategize for a theme and do a trial flight so I can work out the post-production side.
Do you use a different handle in Discord? I couldn't find you in there ... assuming you are in there.
can't wait to see what the modding community does with 2024 - might need to lower my expectations in the meantime. you've defo inspired me to give choppers a decent go. great vid as always!
The key with the choppers is just time at the stick. For the first 20 hours or so of flying them, I thought I had some kind of issue that would prevent me from ever getting better. Then things just start to click. Don't give up!
No way! im wearing my island hopper t-shirt with this exact chopper on it 😂👍
It sounds like today is going to be alright after all!
Amazing..was gonna get this the other day, but was not sure if it would conflict with the orbx himalayas mesh, might get it when 24 comes out 👍
Ah, doggone it ... I have that mesh and didn't put it in! That might have cleared up some of the terrain blemishes. I'll try it and let you know.
@MSFSFlightPlans okidoki cheers..i love that mesh, think i removed it because it took up 25gbs of memory.
I've got good news and bad news ... the good news is the mesh didn't make a difference that I could detect. The bad news is I had to bleach my entire hard drive to install it.
@MSFSFlightPlans 🤣🤣🤣
The chopper skin reminds me of T.C.'s in the original magnum PI
nm sorry when I remember sht at my age I get excited
Total 1970s vibe. Reminds me of the shag carpet in our living room.
Fantástic.
In your list of helicopters, you never mentioned the Lama from Taog's Hanger Simulations. I have landed on top of Everest in that thing. His Huey and Alouette are also fantastic.
You know, I'm glad you said that. In an earlier flight, I said that thing only went up to 13k or something, because that's what the sim said (you know, on the bird selection page with all the basic stats). But then someone else told me the Lama could get super high, too. I'll hop in for our next topper, and we'll let 'er rip! I've actually got a few really cool climbs in mind, that'll be perfect.
@@MSFSFlightPlans I did get carried up the south face with 60+ knot winds which made it very hard to land at the top. :) The Lama easily handles 15,000ft though.
Can you take a flight over Cusco and Machu Picchu in Peru?
One of the worlds 7 wonders.
Apparently the sim also has the Nazca lines, also in Peru.
How can you resist flying under bridges? I can’t. Great work by Cli4d again.
It's taken many years of therapy, but I've gotten better control of my bridge impulses. Volcano craters are another story ...
@ Ha! Have you seen the World Trade Center mod? It looks great and is a real landing challenge for choppers. I’m also touring the 7 wonders of the ancient world by Jeppeson. It’s amazing
@hobiegal Ugh ... too many cool things to do!
Nice video. Can you tell me what version of LNM map you used?
Let me check
It's version 3.0.9
@ sorry, my question should have been, what map overlay are you using? Showing topographical details. Does it require a specific download?
Sir...I have the MD500E and wonder where I can see your sensitivities selection? Im lost...😮
Can you rephrase the question, friend? I'm not sure what you're asking.
You're being a bit harsh about the MSFS 2024 scenery - it was an early tech alpha testing the backend systems. Many of the procedural tech wasn't enabled or processed on a global scale, none of the world updates were included, many more of the new rural tin areas was not available. Also, areas like around Lukla is probably always going to be subpar because of the nature of scanning big mountainous regions, but to say most of the world isn't going to get better is presumptous given the early state of the tech alpha and completeness of the content therin.
You will not meet anyone who wants to be proven wrong more than me, brother! I'm going on the assumption that it's not an Asobo problem but a data availability problem, as you pointed out. I think we can get a little taste of the potential with the map enhancement application, which definitely does make a difference in various parts of the world depending on the level of detail available in the various imagery options. Everything about the "gameplay" (I hate to use that term) seems to be a big step forward, which is great for the average simmer. My reservations are about degradation in the landscape vs what we have in 2020, particularly that the objective will be to increase performance at the expense of high(er) altitude landscape detail.
Everything Asobo has showcased at this point has been "best of" experiences, i.e., best microscenes on the ground, best particle effects, best plane details and walkarounds ... but there have been no showcases of, say, the Alps, dams, waterfalls, or other large formations (Grand Canyon excluded, which does look better). At least not that I've seen. We haven't seen any detailed, close-up city flyovers either except for already great looking areas like NYC. I assume they would be showing off any huge improvements in these areas along with everything else if that kind of stuff was available in any format, hence my apprehension. But, again, I want to be wrong about that, and I am most certainly cheering for a massive leap forward across the board.
@@MSFSFlightPlans Just seen a youtube video "What to Expect from MSFS 2024" from the FlightSimExpo team and some folks who were in Nevada desert using the early version of MSFS 2024 and apparently this was a noticably better version than the Tech Alpha we all tried which I found very interesting. Still a ton of stuff to do, but it was promising to hear...
I can tell you why there is drooping, The data is Radar or even better LIDAR data that comes from aerial surveys or whatever, and there are only so many data points to make the mesh, and when you have limited points they can triangulate the wrong way. Want to see it work very badly fly around harbors and try to see mesh boats where they connect to the water in very odd ways. To make a sharp brake line you have to define where the cliff edge is.
How is the helo flight modeling?
I think it felt pretty good. More controllable than the 500E for a similar design.
Take a trip to Kyrgyzstan. Tien Shan mountains
Thank you! I'll check it out tonight.
WOW!!! I'm going to let Cliff know so he can scope it out. If he can't find what he needs, we're going to fly it anyway. That is an incredible area!
Soviet history to throw in the mix too
😄 Sorry, but I have to. Why? Why do you fly 2D?😁 Heli's need VR like no other.
Recording quality. VR isn't quite there yet.
@@MSFSFlightPlans I see. VR to me was the game changer.
@mnamnam6061 I've heard that from a lot of people. It's on my Christmas list.
And why didn’t u have the magnum theme playing shame on u
😒
I couldn't see the rope bridges. Where exactly were we to look?
Do you have the addon, or are you saying you couldn't see them in the vid? If it's the latter, you might need to watch in a bigger screen. They're thin and of the same color as the terrain.
