My belief is that the husband might have been concerned about Tyler’s mental health and that’s the reason he made the recording and also why he called 911. I might do the same if I thought my spouse could lose it when I talked to him about the possibility that our relationship could end. That would explain “discussion “ versus argument. Tyler sounds like an emotional person which is usually a good trait. It’s a challenging trait if a relationship might be ending. Maybe the husband suspected Tyler could recklessly or even intentionally harm himself while running off in the dark. Poor guys! All four of them. Plus Tyler’s birth family. I hope he’s alive!

How serious was the situation I have no idea. I would like to presume that his husband felt that he was going to harmed???? Again LE does not tell the public anything they keep all there information locked from the public so we can only speculate what is going on. But yes I would like to know the reason for calling 911. Regarding the recording probably issues there and they wanted to get the conversation or fight documented to show people but again no idea why he has done that.

I wonder if Tyler threatened himself? I wonder if Marshal knew that there may be problems and taped it and called 911 because he was worried that Tyler would do something to himself? Especially seeing that the police called it more of a discussion than an argument. The police seems to have taken whatever happened very seriously after Tyler didn't come home.

I live in Lincoln. We are a small town. Our population lives and works pretty much in an 11 mile area. His face is posted everywhere. Everyone is worried. Its a daily conversation
It's a family oriented college town with lots of community activities. Many people know each other.
From what I understand he ran away crying in the dark. They were having an emotional conversation about their relationship. There is footage from a neighbor's house.
I personally think that he was possibly hit by a car and someone panicked. Living here I don't see to many scenarios.
The park is used daily by many people to get from one side of town to the other on paths. It's not big and if he was in there I believe that he would have been found. We have a lot of cameras around town and he appears on none. Hard to hide a body within the town.
I think that something accidental happened and was covered up.
Hopefully now that the snow has cleared more searches can go on and find some answers.
Blessings light love and strength to all ❤❤❤

Next , I find it strange that Tyler's husband not only called 911 during their "argument" but was recording the "argument" from the start. Was there any history of maybe domestic violence in the past ? Also the video footage I'm with Lonnie ,I'm not 100% sure anyone could say for sure that was Tyler running off.Looks to be a cell phone flashlight but like you mentioned John ,it's light was pointing in the direction of the the runners face instead of in to the darkness.Which would aid if video footage was being taken to alter the clarity of the footage n the facial features.Prayers for bringing TYLER home safely to his family & friends.,.🙏

    Thanks for the video.
I hope his kids are listening to these podcasts and reading comments this soon. There will be a time for that, but I would expect that time to be in the future. If they have therapists who think otherwise, then I defer to their therapists.
I drove around Lincoln around the holidays. I'm fairly certain that I was on hwy 77 for some portion of that trip. Now, I have Mr. Goodrich's face in my mind, and I'm wracking my brain to try to remember whether I saw that face anywhere. I really don't think I saw him. He has a fairly distinctive look, but if he were wearing a hat that covered his hair and a scarf that obscured his jaw a little bit, maybe he wouldn't be as easy to recognize.
A small section of northbound I-29 around Oregon, Missouri was closed for some period of time in the middle of the night on the Saturday after Christmas. (I think it was Saturday about three or four in the morning.) That spot would be within two hours of Lincoln. Of course, that was almost two months after he went missing. I have no idea why the interstate was closed, and I have to assume that law enforcement within two hours of Lincoln would know to be looking for him.
I'll be trying to remember anyone I saw on the road during that trip, but if he passed away in early November, there was nothing to see by the holidays.
If he had an accident while running, do you think he was hit by a vehicle or do you think he injured himself and just passed in a place where they haven't looked? I can't imagine him going that far off the road in either case. If someone was drunk and hit him, I can see that person not reporting the accident in order to avoid a vehicular homicide charge. Even so, his body should be near the road.
If he was carrying his phone, do you think he might have grabbed his phone without realizing that the battery was almost dead? In that case, the explanation for his phone disappearing soon would be the dead battery. Do we know whether he might have signed onto any social media? Maybe he ran from home briefly and was then looking for someone so that he could talk to someone about the argument.

I say that because my husband was a CO (Corrections Officer) of 34+ years, recently retired, and Tyler would have been afraid of losing his job in Corrections, given the events surrounding his leaving the home.
If Tyler was serious about making warden some day, he would be taking whatever movements up to management he would have been offered. Being questioned about possible DV, would have scared him absolutely.
The fact Marshall did not phone authorities until the next day, tells me that this is not the first time they had a disagreement and he or Marshall would come home the following day, depending on who left, this is different.

We don't need to know any details, but if a vague description of whether it was relationship oriented, self harm oriented, substance oriented, some kind of hint of which direction the conversation went would be useful. Are we looking for a living human being? If not, are we talking self harm or would someone have harmed him, or could there have been an accidental something or another. People go overboard with the "it's likely it was the husband" stuff. The _circumstances_ and the _context_ alter that equation. Are we meant to believe that the husband followed him later, found him and murdered him? How could that be? That doesn't make sense.

I think Taylor was in a very distressed state of mind when he ran off, and that's why Marshall called 911. It doesn't sound like there was any violence involved at that point, with the police calling it a 'conversation'. But on the other hand, if Taylor had talked about harming himself, who wouldn't the police start searching immediately? Marshall doesn't seem to have been too worried until the next morning. I wonder if Taylor had gone off by himself like that previously, to clear his head?

I'm only two-thirds of the way through the story, but some things jumped out at me that haven't been mentioned (so far)... It seems incredibly short-sighted that they didn't use search dogs (since Tyler ran away on foot)? Are the two adopted boys both over 18? Have they been interrogated? How about a polygraph test on all three of the other family members? Surely it must be clear they wouldn't be happy about any possible breakup of their parents... Was there any history of mental illness - specifically depression - in Tyler? How about the fact Tyler is an openly gay man in Nebraska? It's not helpful to keep harping on the fact that he was a great guy and everyone loved him, when all it takes is one person in the area who didn't approve of Tyler's lifestyle (and I think we can all agree that, being the Rust Belt, there had to be many). How about the prison? Was there anyone there who had a reason to see Tyler as a threat in some way or another? (He himself said that he was very driven/ambitious).

No mental health issues. I think the odds of someone doing him harm when he just happens to have an argument with his husband and leaves the home are pretty low. If he harmed himself or hit by a car I think he would be found or some evidence of sorts. That doesn't leave many options left hence the reason so many don't believe the husband. Dogs were used and ended on his street out the back and a loop that would have brought him back around the front of the house. Only a camera in the back the rest were removed for the house to be painted. Kids are at least driving age the other im unsure I think 10-11 but not sure. Was he possibly running as he thought LE involvement could jeopardise his job (prison officers must go through some sort of psychiatric evaluation if questions arise over mental health). Added to this if he’s running and in blind panic he could have fallen and suffered concussion - perhaps loosing his phone and memory, although I’m pretty sure he’d have been found by now. I always wonder when a lawyer should be retained in situations such as this. If you're detained or arrested, there's no question: invoke your Miranda rights. Ask for a lawyer and shut up. On the other hand, what if you're innocent, and you're the spouse, or parents of a missing child, or even an ex- or current significant other. You want to make yourself available to provide any information that could possibly help, but we all know that not all law enforcement personnel are honest, and even if those who are 100% on the level and concerned, that doesn't mean that they won't make an incorrect assumption, or see things differently and consider you're responsible for someone missing or deceased. I wouldn't know how or when to make that decision and hope I never need to.

What I find interesting is, when they did the dog scent tracking Tylers trail stops in the middle of the road. Very abruptly. And I remember Marshall admitting to taking the kids to his parents house and returning to the home he shared with Tyler ALONE. That to me is very concerning. He removed the children and went back. He had means motive and opportunity. I don’t recall the exact statistics but it’s beyond common for the spouse to be responsible when someone goes missing. It would be irresponsible to look into this. My guess is Marshall is involved way more than he is saying and that is why Tyler has vanished into thin air. What would be helpful is to know the phone activity on Tyler’s and Marshall’s phones that night. Where Tyler’s phone pinged the day he went missing. As the video that surfaced he’s said to be holding his phone [if it is him]. If Marshall is not involved I might suspect an accident took place that night and the person got rid of evidence. Again bc if the dog scent tracking stopping abruptly. But I would lean more towards Marshall being involved. Because if it was some accident wouldn’t people have reported hearing a scream, a crash, they likely would’ve gone to the window to see what the commotion was. There likely would’ve been blood on the ground. Maybe even piece of the vehicle. That logical aftermath of something like that. I know at my home anytime I hear what sounds like a loud crash I’m immediately running to the window to see if I need to call 911 for an injured party. It’s just my nature to want to help when I think I’ve heard something like that. And oftentimes I’m wrong about what it is but I always check just in case. So long story long 😭 those are the theories I have.
