@rufusdrumknottvgc Right? Lol Some people only care about meta and winning, fun isn't part of the equation whether they think so or not. Just cookie cutter team go for the win.
It's defenses are too low for that to be a common set (since if that gets predicted, Ogerpon is going to be in a very bad situation), but honestly, with how flexible it is, I could see that popping up from time to time
@druidt8949 I've seena few follow me Ogerpons with Grass Mask, but it's not really worth it, especially on water mask, since Ogerpon's whole existence counters Urshifu for the most part and Urshifu has dropped in popularity. It's crazy how much Urshifu has fallen off. According to Pikalytics, Urshifu is sitting at 12% usage, less than Alolan Ninetales.
You wouldn’t need follow me for water absorb to work against urshifu, I think water orgepon is better as a balanced threat that can shut down some matchups defensively without sacrificing its offensive presence

Defiant and Competitive don't activate if you drop your own stats (or your partner's stats). The only way to self activate them is Skill Swapping Intimidate to the opposing team.
Sad to see my boy Aaron get smoked so hard. He totally choked the 2nd match on the last turn with that targeting. If he just took out iron hands instead he might have survived a hit from Ogerpon and won the game

I mean swords dance is guaranteed increased damage on all your moves, focus energy relies on RNG so it’s all about how risky you are willing to play. Wolfe usually prefers to not rely on RNG when he can avoid it
Yes, that's not a bad idea. The actual downside over sword dance is you'd have to use Scope Lens to guarantee the crits, but then you can't use other useful items like life orb. The four Ogrepons play really differently so how much of a waste that is is dependent on the form. In the 1 min prep for the battle, choosing your 4 knowing that Aaron has your open teamsheet as well, do you consider "What would he expect me to bring based on my open teamsheet?" then base decisions around that?
Yeah that is certainly a big part of it, its the rock-paper-scissors element of "Well, he needs to use this pokemon so he doesnt lose to this one of mine, so I should bring my counter to it." You have to try and stay a step or two ahead
