Can Meguiar's Ultimate Ceramic Coating Really Achieve Pro-level Results? Exciting New Product Review

- In this video, I share my experience with the Meguiar's Ultimate Ceramic Coating. The proprietary technology in Meguiar's Ultimate Ceramic Coating allows the product to harden into a solid barrier, similar to pro-grade ceramic coatings. This cutting-edge formula allows you to get the benefits of ultra-durable protection that increases gloss and slickness with unbelievable water beading, but it doesn't require a complicated process to apply or remove. One of the benefits of this coating is that it will conceal light paint defects. However, to obtain the longest-lasting results, we recommend that your paint is in excellent condition before applying. Doing a full paint correction process (clay bar, compound, and polish) beforehand will ensure that you get the best bond, best performance, and best durability. The process is easy. Simply spray this coating directly onto the surface in a section. Then, spread with a premium microfiber towel. Once you see it "flash" off, wipe it with a separate premium microfiber. That C-7 looks incredible!!!
I use to use a lot of Meguires liquid ceramic wax because I had excellent luck with it lasting as far as beading water for months upon months. Then when I started using their Ceramic Detailer after maintenance washes I was able to push the longevity of the liquid ceramic wax up to past one year. For the price of it and the detailer as well as ease of use (applying after correction like a traditional wax with a hand applicator) i think its still a good value

I think its easy to use and has good results in regards to gloss slickness and water behavior. But its 8 ounces and there are so msny products that can meet and exceed its best attributes for less money and double the amount of product. So for ne, its a no go. And the Corvette was twice as glossy and wet looking! Just my opinion. Great work as usual!
The C-7 looks amazing. Much glossier than the black car. The other vehicles that have your brand of coating on, all display much better. You should be proud of your hard work Brian. ❤️🖖

I'm going to try it. My best bro from elementary school got into Meguiar's because of me, and he still loves having me use Megs on his family vehicles. He'll have no problem me using his truck for the guinea pig. He's still got their "Hybrid Paint Coating" on it righy now, which is an AWESOME coating.

Overall it's an excellent move forward for meguiars. Definitely a place for this. However im addicted to the blue collar line!! 😂
I’ve used it twice and I like it better than the last product I used. I live in an apartment so my prep & application isn’t like the shops. For a do it yourselfer at $25.00 it’s excellent, I may use a buffer next time remove product.

I agree with you, Brian Meguiars has sort of been pushed to the sideline for me. I think I’ll be sticking with my ultra lock, especially on my ISF with the ultrasonic blue…..
The C7 is definitely looking the better of the two. The Megs product reminds me of TW's spray ceramic coating which I really like (used very sparingly!) but I'm wondering if it will last as long. I like Meg's HCW very much (apply with wet wash mitt, buffing the roof, to avoid window streaks, and spraying off the lower part of the car) - great results for minimal effort. I see this new product as something a bit better than HCW but only a half way house to a proper coating.
I think this is good product to sell in the big box stores as the application is simple and the results are decent. By no means does it compete with pro grade coatings. Thank you for the video!
Great review. The industry is over saturated with so many products. The only difference is the price & marketing behind it
My only reference point is the CQuartz UK 3.0 and Gliss V2 top coat that I use currently. If you have experience with those, how would you say this new Ultimate Ceramic compares to their gloss/shine?

I think it looks like it does what it says. It does what they all say. If you are a pro it will work because your average customer will love the shine and like the beading. Now I would use it for my car if it didn't seem like the stuff I use for customers. The market is just flooded with good stuff and it really comes down to how you like the manufacturer.
There are products out there everywhere that are just as good and way more cost effective. Meaning just as durable or more so, just as hydrophobic or more so, and twice as much product for half the price.
The C7 has a higher gloss than the dodge. I guess it would work for the driveway detailer who is just starting out. I’m going to say it is very easy to use for someone who wants to save money and do it themselves.Great video Brian 👊🏼💎

Do you plan to test the meguiars beyond ceramic paint coating m888 ? I believe it released this year
The meguire's ceramic coat looks ok on the challenger but it cannot compare with the corvette . The C7 looks shinier, much more clear and slicker .
I’ve often wondered why the mega companies like Mequiars and Turtle Wax don’t just make the absolute best and longest lasting coating and just put everyone else out of the coating business. I mean they have the finances to hire the very best chemists and R&D team to do so. Why don’t they? I’ll even throw in Chemical Guys instead of their 100 products why don’t they just stop messing around and do a few great products?
By the way I use the BC1/BC3 combo religiously!

I have been using the Blue Collar 3 as a drying aid. One or two sprays on a large towel works very well on my coated truck. Maybe the new Maguiars product could be used in a similar way.

Just the way we like it.
The problem with this product is that it's not a spray and wipe. You have to really keep wiping until every last bit of residue is gone. Also it does not bond well or at all to existing coatings or anything else. It has to be on pure bare paint.

If you are just starting out in detailing, and want something a little more, then this may be the product for you? But is it better than other spray ceramics? If a person does not want to invest in a true ceramic coating, may be this is the ticket? But I am not ready to purchase this product and I don't believe it has a place in my shop? As always thanks for the review...
It seems to not have that Wet like appearance ; referring to the Camaro It has more of a Warm shine🤫

A good review, however you did a gloss reading but you didn’t do a before reading so we don’t know what the jump in gloss is. Like you say…it’s a decent product. We still have plenty of snow up here. How did your window coating make it through the winter? I especially am interested in the protection from using a scraper to get the ice off. Keep up the good work!
BC 5 is still going strong. Spring is rain season here....a great test.

kinda frustrating, why call it a coating its good for 1 or 2 washes. Tech 582 will still be my go to for short term protection on my clients vehicles

Does the hybrid ceramic sealant they make work well if you have tried? Also C7 Zr1 is one of my absolute dream rides. Along with many other classic muscle cars. I know that’s a grand sport but still
The sealant works perfectly fine.
@@apexdetail85 i have BC3 but havent used it yet, waiting to do a one or 2 step on the truck. Not comfortable doing a true ceramic on my vehicle because i dont have a garage to work in. Would you say the sealant is less durable than BC3 as far as longevity?
It looks comparable in application to Turtle Waxes graphene infused mist. I've been so impressed by graphene that I have gotten completely away from ceramics. Just my preference

I'm always a little disappointed by megs. Perhaps they are too big to adapt quickly to the market.

Megs is just 'meh' these days. Far better stuff out there. The last decade did them no favors.
The BC lineup will be my next go to. Sooner than later. That paint on the vette was dripping. And who puts those weird rims on the charger like that? Made it looked hooptie..."they're racing wheels" or some crap, just awful looking with the front gold rims (which are sweeeeet) and weird chrome back rims. Looked like mad max vehicle. Thats a crime. Just saying...

always funny, I live in Europe and when I see American cars, it looks like Americans like to drive oldtimers that are less comfortabe, more noisy, very unefficient and much less safe.
Nothing special, I wouldn't spend money on it. Meguires needs to step it up I think with some better quality products.
