I loved your short video. To the point. I went step by step, but in the end it had these strange numbers after I transferred it from PDF to ePub. It was formatted but I am hoping the ePub reader does not see those numbers. Have you gone through this problem?
Fab is easy to follow; it's just what we need here! Thank you My word file has 2-column index pages, and ePub format index page has no page number, which is a messy format. If the index pages in the ePub format aren't displaying correctly and I created the index manually for the page range, how can I determine the ePub's margin size? My index is spilling over the bleed margin on the ePub format. The book size is 9'' by 6''. How can I adjust the ePub margins to match this size? I want the index pages with the 2 column pages to fit properly within the margins on the ePub.
The program should allow you to choose where to save it. Check the top "Save to Disk" button to save or search your file name on your PC to locate the file if it put it in a random spot. You can also click "Click to Open" next to path, and that will also locate where it saved. I hope those options help! Happy publishing!
If you search my channel for "ebook" you'll find two tutorials for children's books. One using Kids Kindle Book Creator (which is very quick and easy) and one using InDesign. I hope they help! Happy Publishing 😊
Hi there bethany! thanks for the helpful video. I need help with a thing though... while i can open the epub on my laptop, i can actively copy the link but not be able to open it on my phone. There's no path either. only ,"folder" which says, "book files". Why and how can i solve this?
Yes, you can do that as long as you don't have your book on any other platforms that have a clause where you grant exclusive distribution rights (ex. KDP Select)
@@BethanyStahl Thanks for your response No, it is not exclusive anywhere and is just the TOC and Intro. Do you have a video on next steps on how to export it from Calibre to use for my giveaway?
Maybe I need to watch the formatting in Word video, because I'm trying to convert a Word doc, but when I got to the convert step, it says "Could not convert the book because no supported source format was found." I just wanted to convert a friend's word doc into something to read on my Kindle app. I'm not actually going to publish this doc anywhere.
@@maximepelletier3672 I'll give that a try. I was able to export from LibreOffice as an epub which would eliminate my need for Calibre in this instance, but I would like to get it to work as well. I'll give your suggestion a try.
2:09 timestamp for reference: Click on "click to open" after the word "Path" which can be found below the "Formats" link (this is on the right side, beneath the cover)
Hello I think I followed the instruction correctly but the result was a disaster. Pages were added, pictures were distorted....do you have any suggestions?
Hm. This would is for just text and not pictures as that can get complicated when converting. If you didn't the first time, if you try to anchor your pictures in the .doc to the end of the sentence before where it sits - that should help them from moving or shifting during the conversion process.
Thank you. I hope every single person that teach something on youtube decide to do it just like you do.
Finally someome who gets straight to the point...fast!!!. Good job girl!!
Thank you!
Thanks for the informative video tutorial Bethany 😋
Thanks helpful .pls after conversion I find out that I have astra blanks pages before the new chapters how can I resolve it

Glad it was helpful!
This was so helpful! Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video. I just need to figure out how to format the document on word.
The full word formatting tutorial will be coming in the next few months :)
I have Doc file with Japanese Furigana but it hasn't shown correctly after converting. Please show me how to fix that
Thanks a bunch! I was almost having a stroke trying out the Word/Indesign pipeline.
Thank you. Helpful but then where is the book saved? It comes up on the page but I can't find it in any file and can't save what appeared on screen.

Great video, clear and concise. Thank you
I'm glad it helped!
Thanks again for another informative video. How can you do this for a children’s picture book with words?

I'm new to this but I have images in the chapters but they are not showing after conversion. How should I covert to get images?

I used this video and have the book and cover done and want to upload to my website as my free opt in offer. Is this possible?

Doc seem to not work for me, but converting it to RTF first seem to work. So doc to RTF then do what video say with the RTF file

Thanks pls the name u mention is below the frequency of my earring can you type the application you use thanks
The probelm is called Calibre.
I write instructional books with lots of pictures. Should the pictures be next to the text or under the text
The is completely up to you. I'd recommend checking out some other competition in your area and see which way is standard for your niche :)
very helpful, thank you
I'm glad it helped!
What about table of content? Does it auto created from Word content?
Yes! It is auto-created from your headings.
Thanks Beth!
great video many thanks
Glad it could help!
Where does the book file land once it is converted?
