Very good video. I would add one extra step. After cropping the image, go to Picture Format>Compress Picture. In the pop-up window, leave the resolution alone and make sure the "Delete cropped areas of picture" is selected. Press OK. Why? The image, prior to doing this, is still the full image. This 'full image' adds to the memory size of document. Deleting the cropped area eliminates the unseen portion of the image thus removing the memory space needed for the document file. You can also play with the resolution in this pop-up if the signature image is too large. Just pay attention to good the image looks.
Thanks for a great tutorial video. I've been wanting to have an E-signature available at the click of a button instead of signing it all the time but didn't know how until I came across your video. Your way of guiding us through the process is extremely clear and easy to follow. Thank you.
The last year, I needed to put my signature on a bunch of school documents, and eventually, I used a pdf program, which does things in a more practical way, but had I known this before, I would have taken advantage of it. 👍
Love this tutorial. Concise and to the point. The 'arrow' was just the right speed (for me at least) and I was able to follow it easily with enough time for me to recognize the tool items as you explained the same. I already knew how to put a graphical image of my signature but did not know how to make it a 'Quick Part' as well as manipulate the contents of the image to remove unwanted background etc. Thank you.
First time I come across this channel and thankful for it. Have done something similar but I made it waaaaaay too complicated due to ignorance. Subscribed now and looking forward to more from your library.
Hi !!! Your way of the presentation as well as voice are simply excellent. Keep on presenting similar UTILITY VIDEOS for an ordinary guy who's not a tech funda. Tq.
Don’t know about latest versions of Word, but in earlier versions unless you “compress” photo through one of the Word’s menu options, it saves it in original resolution, thus significantly increasing the word file size.
Wow, thanks for this tutorial!! Interesting and quite easy to understand! I'm also guessing the original signature on the piece of paper can also be scanned using a scanner??
Simpler-to-remember way, imho (or if you don't have MsWord with all shown bells&whistles): Save your signature pic to .png format. Open with an image editor - almost any is now capable of magic wand selection - _select and delete the background_ , crop, etc. Insert the image into the doc and make it floatable over the text. Put it anywhere you need it, resize. Good idea is to slightly cross the signature line or some text with your signature - doing so makes it more realistic.

Very clearly explained. I've learned you can also do this with Wordpad and other similar apps.
This was useful but if you’re going to remove the background then surely no need to change the background colour first.
