Oh just hear this baby revs up to 5.5k rpms after the engine/exhaust settles in after initial 1.5k km! This car strikes the right balance between gokart'ish CLAs and tank/hovercraft-ish GLE stuff. It encroaches the road like a young bull. Has a properly balanced kick, steering, height, and sounds more deep and full in S+ than CLA35 despite same engine setup. You can pack loads of stuff in there and drive for holiday with your family. After 10hrs of driving, you can unload your family and hit the road properly to decompress. You can graciously drive your kids to a kindergarten, then flare up S+ and hit the road again. It still feels more like sports car than an SUV. Extremely well balanced product for dads who like horsepower. But consider not taking leather seats if you have small kids though :)
And no - we will never get an V8 in this baby, because it would steal G63 market. The exterior design is heavily inspired with G-class, so Mercedes will not allow to spoil its G-class market with this one. But a 45 version could fit in, couldn't it...? Please?

Why isn’t there going to be a more powerful GLB 45 version of the AMG GLB, like with the GLA 35 and GLA 45?
I ask that too I have a CLA 45 and the M139 would be so nice in the GLB. Not a fan of the GLA look
Am I the only having the squeaky brakes issue? Just a little over 1k miles. It’s annoying.
I’m having that issue. It seems to be related to moisture, like after a wash or rain, but I’m not 100% sure. Do you have an update?
You have to push it harder and brake harder this solved the problem at my GLB35
