Fantastic review! I really enjoyed seeing what the app actually looks like, and your camera work is beyond incredible as always! The outdoor test was awesome! Looking forward to your review of the all terrain vehicle
I had it as well for a review and concerning the new gears, in my opinion, they are much less prone to slipping as they interlock much better (deeper) than the beveled gears. You need to point a blue LED to the neon-Yellow parts, makes them really glow!
Great job as always! I was shocked to see grass in the backyard! We hope to see ours again in May :). I hope you and your family are keeping safe and well. Take care!
While I'm not crazy about adding additional apps to my phone that I'm not going to use regularly, this looks like the most fun of the app controlled Technic sets released so far.
I really look forward to your testing of the new non-beveled gears. I would think friction can be easily minimized by not squeezing your gears too tightly... not worth losing the ability to drive at an angle...
I hope someone makes into full snow crawler swnocat vehicle without flip function. Remove racer part, make the clearance better and it will be pretty cool
Great review. Didn't expect much from this set from the initial reveal pics given it's another tracked RC vehicle, and the designs usually look clumsy/unfinished. No exception here however, the built in flip function/stability of the model make it a lot more interesting than its predecessors. Looks like a fun model to drive up the walls with.
works direct with Powered Up 88010 remote controller and the buttons change the direction after rollover (Hub Position Sensor), new pybricks HUB Firmware thanks technicmaster0
This is a revolutionary set in terms of functions, one we’ve never seen before in a Technic set. I would like to add one thing regarding the new gears with less functionality than the current gears- this could be due to them being used in the drivetrain. I wondered what could be the reason TLG would design new gears with less functionality and it occurred to me- what if they were made of a stronger plastic for the drivetrain? It’s a possibility.
@Sariel it's Neon Yellow, not Vibrant Yellow ;) Check bricklink colours, I suppose thay haven't done the separate colour for Technic sets and Neon Yellow is a new colour added this year ol late 2021 to the colours pallete, especially the City "emergency" sets
Great job - we need agreed that this is one of most uniqe and interesting lego RC model - and best that its really not that bad - i was worried that the body that is down will touch the ground since they have those little wheels on top - lucky there is small ground clearance
Hi! Small question here, the hub was updated with screws, but was it also updated with better electronics for example? ( A little like the IR receiver v2 against the regular one? )
Hey bro you haven't made Building and comparison video of Lego UCS and Titanic , world map too.... Make some mega comparison of these Mega sets too 🔥🔥🔥
Lego will never call it anything tank related. Flipside would have been a cool name for it, though. Or Flipsaw to rub it even more in how much they like the Ripsaw :P
I don't agree with the repetitiveness point. I say the more tracked vehicles the better, and since they outperform wheeled RC counterparts, they're a great option. Also an easier platform to start MOCs on, this one especially with its power. Even if this is a con, it's less deal-breaking than the one below it, and I believe your pros/cons are arranged in an order of descending importance? However, it may be that that last point on the Magic item card is very accurate and I'm defending this set because of it. :D
To be honest i went into this review expecting nothing from the 42140 but i am quite impressed going out... The set is way to slow to be fun for me, as expected. And overall its way to expenzive, as expexted. But the sets seems to be doing what it advertises very well, and the construction looks sturdy, while being coloured like smarties ( after the mclaren i had hopes LEGO...) If its below 100€ im maybe going to buy one...
Lego Something Something Vehicle🤣sounds way cooler than the train wreck name they chose....this is essentially what Technic should be... Engineering made fun. Loved the review.
i had a non lego version of this as a kid, iirc it was a "tycho rebound offroad" it was a car on one side, a truck on the other and it had tank treads. though i have NO CLUE why lego is calling it a "transformable vehicle" when it just flips over, exactly like the 20+ year old one i had did, and they didnt even have the balls to call that a "transformation" then...
Looks like Sariel's doing latest 2022 Technic review sequence from highest to lowest price. BTW, where are those little cute hamster inspector?
Fantastic review! I really enjoyed seeing what the app actually looks like, and your camera work is beyond incredible as always! The outdoor test was awesome! Looking forward to your review of the all terrain vehicle
You don't have to hide behind sariels video. You both bring very good reviews. Thank you both for this!
I definitely want this set
Ik ook
The pug's back and your other doggo getting excited behind the door too...🐕🐕🤗
No B-model? It's got the B-model built-in! Just flip it. :)

Do the 20t spur gears mesh better with the 16t side of the 4L diff?
Great job as always! I was shocked to see grass in the backyard! We hope to see ours again in May :). I hope you and your family are keeping safe and well. Take care!
I'm thrilled for the new spur gears because they'll (hopefully) work with chains.
They do.
Nice review….didn’t think I wanted this till seeing your review. My kids will like driving this. Thanks
Those new gears, unlike the beveled ones, should work with chain links. That's awesome!
As a kid I would have loved this set
While I'm not crazy about adding additional apps to my phone that I'm not going to use regularly, this looks like the most fun of the app controlled Technic sets released so far.
Nice review! This set is pretty cool, and has lots of new useful parts.

i miss the old cheaper power functions the powered up system just isn't the same
I want this and want to make it a non transforming ripsaw with the blue style cabin
What do you mean "no B mode"? This set is obviously A and B models rolled into one for your convenience :), just flip it!
B models means alternative build of main model
@@zaxisontherun IT seems sarcasm is beyond you
Just refit the 42065 and 42095 (B-model) with rubber pads and you're perfectly fine.
Music is always spot on and great review as always. Thinking about buying either this or last year's RC for the Control+.
The vibrant yellow... For now, rather rare, but seems like a promising color to me XD
the new gears should also be compatible with the smallest treads and the chain link where the old one aren't right?
Yup.
How do you manage throttling to right and left tracks after the flip ? With the help of gyroscope?
The smart hub includes a tilt sensor and swaps directions of the tracks automatically after flipping.

Very unlikely. But they may generate less friction due to being narrower and thus touching less stuff when rotating.
Do you know if there is any way to recharge the new rechargeable battery (# 45612) without having to unscrew the back?
None that I'm aware of.
This might be the only expensive set I’ll buy for parts alone, that 20t spur gear would solve my current problem immediately.
Climbing angle is same as Zetros?
I predict some cool alt builds coming soon.
I think lego wants to avoid licensing military hardware, given the ospray thing

Sorry, my bad :)
@@searme but I like your version and the unofficial name of the set :) I call it RV - Reversible Vehicle
It has a built in B-model 😁
B models means official alternative build of main model
John Deere Tractor review coming tomorrow
Um, no. I didn't get one.
@@searme huh
at 9.04, what is the tank? model on the shelf?
Abrams I'm building.

Does anyone know if you can connect a video game controller to the app? (Xbox specifically)
I don't think so.
Pretty clever mechanism, but selling it as "transformation" is maybe a bit much. Thanks for the review!
Bottom cabin has special appeal to Australian, in “if this set was a magic item”..........
But which one is the bottom cabin?
Idk,maybe the orange one?

I want to see one of these, but life size. just two drivers, constantly getting flipped around
That would also be known as a MCS, mobile concussion station…
The 40% price increase is probably helped out a bit by the 400 extra pieces.
We need a dedicated physical controller for those things - episode #999
👍👍👍
well,I think “no B model” should be removed from cons because it looks like there will be no B models on motorized sets forever
I laughed so hard when I read "Who on Earth came up with that name"

we need screwdrivers now? damn im screwed :/

I hate the app. remote would be so much better
Why are you wearing gloves? I'm very confused
i dont like controll+...too expencive, too rigid
App control sucks.
