At 21 years old I went to a “ health clinic “ and found out that I was pregnant. Everyone in my life including my partner wanted me to have an abortion and that health clinic was affiliated with planned parenthood they talked me into the appointment for an abortion. I was so terrified, guilt ridden and confused and then the morning of my appointment came and I called and canceled, I knew that God had sent that child into my life for a reason and I knew that I could never forgive myself if I murdered my child. She is now 30 years old, she is my best friend and she has given my husband and myself three beautiful grandchildren and I thank God every single day that I choose to keep her in my life.

I am a Christian and had an abortion at 17. Because God forgives me, I can forgive myself, but barely. I’m 60 now and still think of it. It’s not just the child who is the victim but the woman never forgets. They never tell you that nor do you hear about how adversely affects the woman who has it done. A beautiful interview and story!

@Soprano_Aria That's not accrate, tho. It's just like when men felt guilty for SelfLove because the church demonized it. Ask your grandparents, some even said it would make them go blind. Lol. Marketing that uses guilt and shame is horrifically effective. Why do you think the majority of the animal saving groups use suffering animals as imagery for donations, instead of adopted animals they've saved? Prolife advocates were found faking fetus remains for veiws on the internet. Marketing to guilt and shame based on images that aren't real. You deserve better than that. You don't deserve to be lied to in hopes they'll shame you into support.

@@freedomishavingachoice3020 you live your life like there is no creator God despite evidence of His Creation all around us in its amazing complexity. In your world, you make yourself God and wonder why anyone would feel “guilty” unless coerced by some cult. Even when I wasn’ t a Christian comment, was meant to illustrate that to feel guilty is not from some coercion of a group. I knew I was taking a life that didn’t ask to be there in the first place. In your world, the self reigns supreme, and anything that self wants the self should get. Never mind who it hurts. We have laws that murder is wrong, that should include the most vulnerable of people especially, the unborn. There has never been more forms of birth control available as there is today. There is absolutely no reason a woman should become pregnant by “accident” but it does happen for various reasons of course, and in those cases there are options too. To give this unexpected pregnancy to a couple who wants a child for example. Without God, everything is permissible even abortion so in your world, your viewpoint makes sense, but your viewpoint is flawed based upon your faulty premise. As the Bible says… For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, ... Romans 1 18-25

That's the interesting conundrum of babies at that stage of gestation- that when it's a mother who had a miscarriage, even at just 5 weeks, everyone would understand the grief of that situation and sympathize accordingly. But as long as the mother didn't want it and had an abortion, then it's a clump of cells and "wasn't really a baby."
Facts and scientific definitions are based on feelings, apparently.

At 19 years old I had an abortion. It was the worst experience of my life. I was so sick afterwards. I couldn’t stop throwing up. I stayed at my friends house for a couple hours because I didn’t want to tell my mom what I did. By the time I got home I was bleeding so much. I had golf sized blood clots coming out of me and they wouldn’t stop.
I was filling up a pad within 5-10 minutes. Finally, I had to tell my mom because the bleeding and blood clots would not stop. It got worse and worse. She rushed me to the hospital. I was losing so much blood I thought I was going to die. One of the nurses asked me for a urine sample, I was so weak she had to help me to the restroom. She was about to leave me in the bathroom but I called for her to come right back.
I began to feel extremely dizzy. She said oh no let’s get you back in the bed. I almost fell a couple times trying to get back to the bed. I felt the life leaving out of me. The last thing I remember is walking to the bed. When I woke up my family was around me and I was thanking God I was still alive. I made a vow to God that day that I would never do that again.
6 years later I was pregnant again. The dad didn’t want to go through with it but I told him what happened before and I said there’s no way I will do that again. I told him about my promise to God and I said we’re having this baby. A month later I started calling my child Isabella. Now I was only two months so I didn’t know the gender but I just knew that was her name.
When I found out what the gender was it was a girl lol I was so happy because I had already named her. My daughter is 8 now. She’s so smart, articulates herself so well, and ever since she was a toddler she always reminded me how much God loves me. Before her 8th birthday I looked up the meaning of her name and it means God is my oath. How ironic because I made an oath to God when I was 19 that I would never have another abortion. ❤

However, a male has zero control over these things...it doesn't matter how responsible or irresponsible he is...he has zero legal rights, zero control...no say at all. I think your focus on choosing the woman is more wise. I always hope my skewed view of other women doesn't come through when I discuss these things with my son. It's a hard balance, I want him to be cautious, but I don't want him to be jaded (by my opinions).

It's about so many things that a young man has the opportunity to "control" his actions and who he chooses to partner with.

I also had infertility issues for years, and know that trauma. My second marriage, I had multiple pg losses, and finally gave birth in 1992. I had my last two children in my 40's. When I was experiencing complications, I signed a paper stating I would not want my pregnancy terminated, I wanted the baby saved. He is now 28, has a great job, is a great kid like the rest of them. I had also went through the adoption process in my late 20's, so I know that struggle. I cried listening to you because of the loss of your daughter, and your struggles. @WaterCat5 When we know RUclips profits off of outrage, I feel like I can't even trust the majority of the stories on the internet, sadly. I try to be empathetic. I just have yet to meet anyone that needed an abortion that actually wanted one. Most of them were already parents who were intimate and their vasectomy or tube tie failed. Another pregnancy at their age is a huge risk to their wellbeing. The already birthed children deserve a chance to have a living parent with no irreparable harm caused by an unwilling pregnancy. The uterus owner also shouldn't be punished for being intimate with who they choose to marry. I just don't understand why it's so easy to guilt the vulnerable.

I have to add that whether they knew it or not so called respectable people were the Cause of some abortions because they rejected the unwed mothers ... they could have become pregnant because of rape; sometimes there have been rapes even within the family... whatever the reason I recall Jesus saying about the woman caught in adultery... My great-grandmother died having an abortion around 1912.
My mom’s mom, my grandmother had an abortion when she was 16 or 17.
I’m so grateful my mother had me. The doctor told her to abort me. She had just had a baby and she had high blood pressure. She had 3 boys and I was the girl she’d asked God for.
I have triplets. The perinatologist told me to to selectively reduce one of the babies as they had Twin-to-twin transfusion Syndrome. I told him I’d never! I gave birth to a set of identical twin girls and a boy. One ID twin weighed 5 lbs and her sister weighed 3 1/2 lbs. That’s a HUGE difference in size. The one who would have been aborted is now 18, brilliant and beautiful.

Now at 31 wanting a baby and watching this video I feel bad for my careless comments and inconsideration towards others. I didn’t understand how much of a toll abortions had on women until my sister had one and then got pregnant recently & refused to have another despite her partners disapproval. Came to the realization that people were willingly killing babies that many people desperately wanted & would love as their own. I became disgusted by the thought of abortion. They didn’t allow you to get a tubal at their hospital. Do you think I got upset with them?? Not at all. It went against the Catholic teachings and I respected that. About 8 years later my dad died at St Michael’s and the nuns were so kind and loving to me and the Catholic priest came and prayed for my dad which was very comforting. We are not Catholics btw. There is just something extremely comforting about a Catholic hospital. I love that they stand on their Christian values.

I'd like to encourage you to write and get out in nature so your nervous system can process without being overwhelmed.
Someone else mentioned forgiveness... It's a personal struggle because it certainly doesn't help her, or heal the relationship. It only helps you, by releasing the anger that continues to damage your lifes fulfillment.... that being said, I didn't forgive my mom for well over a decade after her last act of violence towards my brother and I. I had no intention of letting go.
Then my son was born. It all happened so fast, but for a moment I knew she once was a good mom, doing her best to care for my siblings and I, and that even though she hadn't made the right choices, she was trying her best with what she knew at the time. She suddenly had no power over me amd I had no ill will towards her. Moving forward our relationship is better. I set boundaries and she respects them.
You cannot rush something like that. Take your time. Keep pressing forward. I know you and your sister will continue to do better than your mom. May God bless you and keep you 💛

I am A-neg and my husband was A-pos. All three of my children are RH positive. The third was not planned and we were in Germany. I did not see a doctor until four months and he was very concerned and said I should have had an abortion, but that it was not legal in Germany and it was really too late. Well I attended a European Baptist Church in Kitzingen, Germany. There was a lady there named Ann. She assured me that I need not worry because they were praying for me and God had this. My doctor had me come for amniotic tests. He was concerned at six months and at seven months even more so. At eight months the amniotic fluid showed improvement which he said was not possible. I delivered on the day before I was due and they put my eight pound boy under the Billi light. Ann and friends were praying. The next day they were going to do a transfusion. They tested him again and amazingly the bilirubin had dropped to a safe level. God is so GOOD! That boy is now a LTC in the Army.

I said I would do anything to help her get to the finish line. I would even adopt the child myself. I would pay for all prenatal care, arrange transportation to appointments, ANYTHING. Well, she saw how serious I was and went to classy route by basically extorting me for money. She literally said "how much is this (points to her stomach) worth to you?" I ended up giving her almost all the combat pay I earned during my 15 month deployment to Afghanistan. That was ten years ago. MY son just finished fourth grade and is my pride and joy. He loves trucks, trains, and is an amateur historian like his old man. My cousin was comfortable putting a monetary price on my son. Before I even met him I knew he was priceless. All this has done is completely guarantee no one will be breeding. All will be sterilized except the religious. If you haven't talked to teenagers lately, maybe you should. The boys don't like this ruling either. So, now teens are getting sterilized voluntarily. I know oodles of women who got sterilized and/or had abortions - NOT one regrets it. NOT one. Even decades later. Most have seen a live abortion on utube. It's not hard to find. If you think these types of videos scare them off, you're wrong is does the complete opposite. Why do other people think they can breed us??? That's from both teenage boys and girls. You adults are messing up society big time. You're going to have no babies in the future. I was totally pro-choice until I got pregnant myself. At the time there were people who told me I should get an abortion and the things that got to me the most is that someone else can decide the fate of another life. I remember justifying abortions to people who wanted them and I sometimes think that maybe if I said the right words, I could’ve prevented some, but instead I told them it wasn’t a bad thing. I have a 2 year old now and it haunts me to think that if I would have gotten pregnant just a few years earlier when I had less financial stability, I could have possibly made a decision to have an abortion that is so scary. My son was always worthy of life no matter who thought he wasn’t. This country has so much blood on its hands with this.

I never had nor could I have had an abortion. However, the main thing about being prochoice is the conundrum of the fact that a woman's body is a vessel. It is HER vessel and no one should determine what she does with her body. I get it. It is very hard to think about these things. As far as the nation having blood on its hands, its most certainly not just from abortions. It is very true that we (all of us), pick and choose whose life is worthy and whose isn't. Endless wars, funding monies to countries that murder people all day long.

I was pregnant at 16 and my boyfriend who had catholic parents who he didn't want to know so he wanted me to have an abortion. I refused though and so very glad I did as I would have never forgiven myself if he'd talked me into that. With both my kids it was teen pregnancies due to failed birth control and if I hadn't have had them, I would now not have the children I'd always wanted as I'm over 50 now and never found a partner to marry. I have five grandchildren from my two teen pregnancies :)

You cannot marry twice my love. The father of the children is the husband. You cannot expect to find a loving husband either when you already fornicated with the virgin ones, like just other girls also did. Once a man have sex he is pray of evil. He is never the same again. The Jews made is such cases the man to marry the woman. That must have been done in your case. But because humans are insufferable God is letting women to be single moms, because it looks like marriage and warns against fornication are not important anymore. God is a joke to you. So the Lord is deaf to prayers. Tell your grandchildren to be chaste. Do not let your girls to fornicate with boyfriends. Tell them to get married. They cannot share a house with a guy. Teach them love is in the Heart chakra not in the vagina. When you open the door to the vagina a man's sanity is ruined. It is a kind of madness. That is what they do not marry. That is why. Women's reckless actions are accountable.

Thank you so much Sean and Dr. Levatino for this conversation. I have to admit that it broke my heart into a million pieces and I even cried through the last 20 minutes of it. Abortion is such a barbaric and violent act - I feel like people need to be aware of the reality of it and that it's not this "innocent, forgettable medical procedure that goes away once it's done". I was forced to terminate my first pregnancy 7 years ago, before I was saved, living a horrible sin-filled life. But God used that experience to make me aware of the consequences of sin and to bring me close to Him. I gave my life to Christ after that and I know that I am forgiven by the blood of Jesus, and I walk in His Grace every single moment of every single day. But not a single day goes by that I don't think about my little baby and the fact that I killed that child. I agree with what Dr. Levatino said - we can accept the salvation and forgiveness of Jesus, but the hardest part is forgiving ourselves. I honestly think about it every day and am filled with regret and pain and loss. I know that God is Good and that He loves me, and I can't wait to get to Heaven when He will wipe away my tears and I can finally see my baby face to face. I am passionately pro-life now and would do just about anything to try to help prevent someone from making the same awful choice that I did. The pain of abortion lasts a lifetime.

This is so well put, as this is a very real problem. I have known four women who had abortions, one of those had two. They all deeply regretted these abortions. One was left with an incompetent cervix and had several miscarriages until she had her daughter. The others had either children already or had healthy children afterwards. Nevertheless, all of them wished they had not had the abortion, and are wondering if they would have had a boy or a girl and what that child would have been like.

I saw the aftermath. I saw the pieces of my child, a baby, a tiny human with its own life be vacuumed from my womb, collected in a jar and later watched staff reassemble the child to take account for parts to ensure completion. I left my child in that clinic in the most violent of fashions after giving that baby its end of life in the same way. I remember that child. I’ll never forget nor should I ever. Well if America would have decent maternal health care the majority of abortions would be a simple pill and a whole tiny fetus passed with menstrual blood. This is the case in the majority of the developed world. But no, Americans make it difficult to have an abortion resulting in gruesome late term abortions instead.
Also many of these late term abortions are absolutely wanted pregnancies where the fetus has died in the womb, extrauterine pregnancies or pregnancies where severe anomalies have been diagnosed. Anomalies that don't allow for life after birth.

The more I got closer to God, the guilt begin to eat me up. We curse our womb when we do abortions, with the spirit of death. But I repented and went through deliverance. I feel no matter what people say it’s murder. And I regret them so much. Once I got married and got pregnant I didn’t feel I deserve to be a mother again. That is what sex education and porn made to us. Girls are not supposed to live with boys and fornicate. Procreation alone has always been the purpose. Love is not expressed with a penis in your vagina. That is crazy! Call me Middle Ages girl! But it is just so. The asexual ones are a gentle warning to all!

Thank you for sharing your testimony and for speaking to protect the unborn. I belong to my church ProLife group. We pray for the abortionists and the staff. Never thought about praying for individual doctors and their families. Great idea. May God bless you and your family. May other doctors and staff open their hearts to the truth about abortions. Let’s protect these babies. 🙏🏼❤️

A patient of mine had an abortion at 7 mos. Gestation . I encouraged her not to do it. . I came back 2 days later and she already had it done. Her husband wants her to have an abortion or he would leave her. In the OR notes the Doctor described the procedure and the status of the baby .. healthy baby girl, she was basically drowned in the womb with saline and came out still alive . After reading the notes , I could not sleep for few days .. I was crying , the baby must be in pain and trying to live...

When I became pregnant over a decade ago,my sons father had the audacity to suggest an abortion. My response to him was immediate disrespect. I called him every name I could think of in that moment and said to him, “you should’ve been aborted, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation”, prior to walking out of his studio apartment that night, I told him to get his sh*t together because we’re having a baby. I was very hurt about his suggestion, took him to court and have received many child support payments lol he has since come to his senses and we now celebrate big birthday parties for our son and my beautiful boy is in private school, plays the piano, and is a practitioner of both Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and MMA. Although I felt completely unprepared and a bit nervous about becoming a mother, I’m very grateful, I chose life, I truly believe it was God that led me down the right path. I love being a mother and I couldn’t be more thankful for my son who’s 11 years old now.❤❤❤

I was pregnant as a teenager but having my son was the best thing I ever did. I never considered abortion and although it was scary telling my parents I don’t regret it. Just wait till you hold that beautiful baby in your arms and you’ll know it was all worth it. Find a good church (not all are good, some judge) and you will find support and encouragement. May God bless you and your precious baby.

I was forced into an abortion when I was 16. It is still in the back of my mind. I wanted to bring that child into the world and if necessary put the child up for adoption. I was adopted when I was 3. The feeling of loss is still there nearly 50 yrs later.

You can still contact an organisation of peers to console each other during that process. I don't know but maybe there is one in your country. Even only online it'll help. Don't bear trauma on your own.

This is so Heartbreaking, but everyone, including teens, should know the information. Instead of proving condom, students should be taught about what abortion is and the effect of the women’s mental health. 😢
