Rock & Roll Hall of Famer SAMMY HAGAR today announced the long-awaited “THE BEST OF ALL WORLD’S” 2024 tour. Hagar will be joined by rock heavyweights and longtime bandmates MICHAEL ANTHONY (bass, backing vocals), JASON BONHAM (drums) and revealed exclusively on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show this morning that JOE SATRIANI, one of the best guitar players in the world, will complete the band. Produced by Live Nation and featuring special guests Loverboy, the 28-date tour will commence on July 13 in West Palm Beach, FL and will conclude on August 31 in St. Louis, MO.
The tour follows on the heels of the chart-topping success of THE COLLECTION II, the box set released October 6 featuring newly remastered versions of the four consecutive #1 albums released during the Hagar era of Van Halen: 5150 (1986), OU812 (1988), FOR UNLAWFUL CARNAL KNOWLEDGE (1991), and BALANCE (1995). A reminder to fans of the arsenal of hits, many which haven’t been played live since the band’s 2004 reunion tour. Collectively, Anthony, Satriani and Bonham have played together in nearly every phase of Hagar’s career including Van Halen, Chickenfoot and The Circle, so fans can expect a setlist which draws from some of the biggest rock anthems of the last 4-decades, including, Finish What Ya Started, 5150, Your Love is Driving Me Crazy, Best of Both Worlds, Poundcake, Sexy Little Thing, One Way To Rock, Right Now, Good Enough, Eagles Fly and more. They’ve also enlisted legendary Australian musician, Rai Thistlethwayte on keyboard and backing vocals. The tour represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see this band of brothers deliver one of the most legendary hits-packed live shows of their career.
“It’s crazy to think that it’ll be 20 years since Mikey and I played these songs with Van Halen on the 04’ Best of Both Worlds Tour,” said Hagar. “With Joe on board, we can take a deeper dive into those years. We’re going to touch on some hits from my entire career but seeing fans old and new really embrace the new collection set off something in Mikey and I. We were at my Birthday Bash in Cabo for my 76th and looked at each other and high fived, like ‘let’s do it.’ We pulled out a couple of them and it was an instant lovefest with the fans from our first riffs. The music we created is going to outlive us all. They deserve to be heard so it’s time we go out and serve the fans that music, while we still can.”
Kenny filling in for Jason like that? WOW
71 YEARS YOUNG !
@@MustangRed1967 and only 24 hours to learn everything because of circumstances and short notice. Very impressive for any musician.
Playing and reading the drum chart on a tablet ! ....
Kenny is a pro isn’t he!
@@Adam_Chadam Kenny was the touring drummer for Chickenfoot so he, Sammy, and Mikey have history together. He was the perfect guy to stand in for Jason.
i was there. They turned it up a notch for Nashville and for an indoor show. Also, Kenny is a friggin beast. He's reading SHEET MUSIC to make sure he plays each song perfectly.
Kenny is definitely not reading sheet music - SMH
I was there awesome 👌 👏
I was there, too… there was no sheet music. 😂
@@sonofagunn1967 ruclips.net/video/qn74qCx9enw/видео.html
@@johnwebb5658Actually, he was looking off an iPad at what looked like electronic sheet music. The top comment you replied to wasn’t dissing or hating on him for doing that was saying he played bad. This was like only his 2nd or 3rd show playing this whole show and setlist of songs.
Great video, saw the Dallas show and it was awesome 😎 I'm 56 and got to see Sammy on those great solo tours, Standing Hampton, Three Lock Box, VOA and every Dallas stop with Van Halen including the free West End Market place show in downtown Dallas. Such great memories hearing these song again live.
Satch has got that TONE dialed in man!! Awesome!
Series of 3rd Power amps
My GOD Satch is killing it on Summer Nights. I absolutely love the chemistry of this lineup (both Kenny and Jason included)-- I know they already all have a history together, but this just has that mid-80's best-band-in-the-world vibe to it. I'm so glad to hear they're talking about writing/recording new music based on this lineup, and I can only assume it's inspired by revisiting this material, which would be awesome.
I was there..great show. Had an awesome time
was at this concert and it was Awesome !! it was rocking and loud !! and all the people with negative comments that Satch does not sound like Eddie, well he is not trying to do that..he plays in the style of Eddie with his own twist and style as a tribute to VH...remember we will never get to hear these songs again unless Sammy does it. I suggest you get out and see this show if you can.😊👍
Saw them @ Pine Knob Music 🎶 Theatre Clarkston, Michigan
It was EPIC!!!!
We all love Eddie but Joe Satriani doesnt need to be anyone but himself.
That was a great show! Loverboy did awesome too! Great footage!
Fucking Arnoff man . . . BEAST!!!
Great video footage, we were there in the lower arena!
Great Set list and great concert!!!!!
Joe is such a legend. LOVE how he puts his own skill and career in this while still serving the songs so well. Michael Anthony is amazing as always. Kenny KILLED It. and of course Mr Red Rocker himself, Sammy HAgar... HELL YES. (don't know the new guy on keys but he seemed cool too)
Best show by far!!! Ready for more!
I took some pictures and videos of the show but I wanted to be in the moment as well. I’m glad you got the whole thing on video.
“Ain’t taking Bout Love “ was definitely a highlight for me, I wanted to video that song.
Over all I thought it was really good to hear those songs done Live again.
I’m glad that I got to go to the show! Rest In Peace EVH 😢
The man of the night is Michael , all the years that man has taken shit from every angle , and even after all that , he genuinely is up there playing his best , singing his best and looking like and sounding like he did 40 years ago. Dude is in absolute euphoria when he is on stage , love it.
Super Concert, Fantastic Guitarist JOE SATRIANI, Perfect Singer SAMMY HAGAR
Wow. They sound amazing.
Wow!! Hope they do it again next year.
Thanks for posting. Kenny killed it, 5150 intro was rough, he got turned around. Might drive down to Indy today.
I never noticed how chaotic the drums in 5150 are until much later in life. I've heard is thousands of times, so it all sounds very natural to my ear, but there are so many weird, off-time fills and change-ups to navigate just to keep the song chugging along-- I can't imagine diving into it head first with almost no practice. It's worth mentioning that Eddie did always make fun of Alex coming in "upside down" very often when they'd play together, so it's fair to say Eddie's ideas of where the "one" is didn't always line up with traditional (or even unconventional) drummer thinking.
ALL that said-- this tour has been a very special gift to us Sammy-era fans, and these guys have fucking delivered every night. I hope some pro-shot, board-sourced-audio versions come out for us to enjoy eventually.
Great sound and video. Almost pro shot. Well done. Thank you. Hagar is ageless
The intro screen is all about Sammy. Where's Eddie. .??
THANK YOU TODD for posting this video! I had to leave Nashville two years ago after 30 years or I would've been there. Saw the very first show in the "Gaylord" Bridgestone. You are a great videographer and the audio is AMAZING! LONG LIVE KING EDWARD!
❤🖤🤍🎸👑
I was there and loved every minute of this show! I said this elsewhere and bears repeating, Satch melted my face with his magic.
Thank you!!!🎉🎉🎉
Sammy "вылетел" на @1:01:42, но Joe вырулил ситуацию, Kenny остался в строю
Стопочка немного выбила из колеи!
Но все это просто жар по полной!
One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, thanks…! Thank you fans for making a great show even better! The Hagar band, enough said! 🤘
best line up,missing Van halen band
Oh shit. I need to sync this up with my audio capture.
Detroit was amazing as well
Aronoff, gnikcuF killin' it at 71! 🍻🤘🏻
Man I really wanted to see this but we had to be up at 4 am to hike Mount LeConte the following morning. No was we could have done that.
man it would be SO cool to see this tour on blu ray disc in 24/96 audio !
This was one hell of a show. Closest I’ll ever get to seeing Van Halen. Amazing seeing Michael Anthony and Joe Satriani especially.
Thank you very much for this!!!! Was at the show. Maybe a row or 2 ahead center stage. Man I'm jealous you had Joe right in front of you lol
I was at this show as well. Great show! My only complaint was that Joe’s guitar was a little loud and definitely blew my ears out. 😂😂😂😂😂
God bless these guys, keep rocking!!!
And sorry but id easily take Kenny Aranoff over Jason Bonham.
Kenny is a freaking jackhammer.
Great job, Joe!
Great vid - thanks for sharing!
thanks. was at the show
Love love love... but please, someone keep Mike away from the mic.
I was there. Sat in the very last row up in the rafters filming it myself. Great Show !
Great job 👍

best fucking night of my life on a school night for me. Second best night!
Thank ypu for this!! I was at Detroit (clarkston) show. What an awesome show!!!
I just saying but Mike has always been way WAYYYY too nice and kind towards Ed, even tho Ed never even really made things right with Mike before he passed. I get Ed passed away but what he did and said about Mike was absolutely horrible and just…sad. Especially for Mike to still try and honor Ed…what an incredible guy!
Nah its all good man, Mikey knows Eddie was out of his mind in those years.
Good Enough was slower compared to the other shows I’ve seen on RUclips. Interesting.
Kenny is amazing but he set the tempo really slow on Good Enough. You can see Sammy telling him to "pick it up" several times at the very beginning. The song ended with quicker tempo after the middle breakdown with Michael Anthony and Satch solo. I was at the show. It was amazing.
This is from where I was sitting on Good Enough. You can see Sammy telling him to "pick it up" several times and even Michael Anthony motions for him to pick up the tempo. I had a blast and was knee deep in beer and lovin the music... it wasn't until a few days later I saw a comment where the Nashville show started out on a real slow tempo that I went back and reviewed the video LOL. It's all good. Kenny is a beast and they are all so professional. ruclips.net/user/shortszn9Xi70t7rM
@@johnlstubbs3173 I appreciate you sharing the video regardless. Yours is only one of two videos where one gets to see the screen in the background which is very cool.
@@johnlstubbs3173 I now see poor Sammy and Michael Anthony telling Kenny to pick it up, hahaha. Heck, I think Joe also did, but he was more subtle.
@@eyeheartsushi2212 yes he walked over but it wasn’t HIS tour so he was more subtle and very polite lol.
You could tell Sammy was like “come on Kenny!” 😂
Joe Satriani, The Man !!!
Sammy can really lean on Mike for some serious vocal support.
I was there ...perfect show ...then this happened the next day !!
13th row
It’s great that the band is still out giving the fans a fun night out, but it will never be like it was the first time around.
You all may not realize Kenny has played most of these songs many times. It's not as hard as people think for him to learn the set.
I prefer Bonham, that's just me
Oh really? Please cite your sources of when he played any of these songs. Thanks "remnant".
Where is Jason Bonham?
He flew back to England for a family emergency. Kenny saved the tour... Nashville was only his 2nd show (in consecutive nights) playing with the band.
David who?
1:25:56 Sammy signs Joe's head! 🤣🤣🤣 Wonder if he'll get it tatted?🤣🤣🤣
Why Kenny fill Jason???
Family emergency; hope all is okay!
@@lancethewolf1999 Thank you

Todd where were you sitting? I was in first row of wheelchair seating beginning the 2nd section on Satch's side...I think i hear me LOL

Did Sammy Hagar from Van Halen cancelled Jump, is it because of Eddie Van Halen passed away almost 4 years ago
Whattttt????
@@CaptainBuckeye Because he didn't play Jump, for some apparently reason himself
@@BonJoviLiveConcerts2022 he actually did
@@CaptainBuckeye No, Jump is not played in this concert, weird
@@CaptainBuckeye I checked it, I didn't know he played Jump, One of my favourite Van Halen songs,
how do you get the gimbal in to use. does it not set off metal detector when entering the building
Luckily, it hasn't been an issue.
Original Van Halen 78-84 lot better
No JHB on Drums???
Family emergency
Van halen has always been my favorite band but this is depressing and i don't know why Sammy hagar makes it seem like joe is such a great guitar player that is playing someone else's guitar riffs and isn't even playing it right most of the time and what is with the guy pretending to play keyboard that no one can hear looking like a goofball and although i love Michael Anthonys playing and back up vocals i would rather him not sing lead
Come on dude. Nobody is gonna sound like Eddie….joe is a great guitarist in his own right.. I’m glad you didn’t go the show with an attitude like that.
It’s guys like you would ruin everyone else’s good time … can’t take it for what it is to worth, it’s to bad for you that you can’t find any fun out of this
If you can play better, go for it…… call Sammy up an tell him you need a job, then give satchel a buzz to, he will step down and then you go for it…
Joe is not trying to play like Ed…..if you don’t have that guy (satch) the show wouldn’t exist. Doing this for the FANS out of respect of the music
Of Sammy and of course EDDIE VAN HALEN an Van Halen music
@@leonbogdan1413 that is the dumbest thing I ever heard I'm talking about him making seem like he's the greatest thing ever when he's not Eddie van Halen was and he's not playing like Eddie because he can't
Satriani wishes in his dreams he could play half as good as EVH…
and you're behind the keyboard sounding all jealous and envious because he is there and you are still behind the keyboard. Go away already!
Too bad you didn't have a better camera. Nice anyway.
Yes, I had to zoom in more than I like, so I gets a little pixelated. Thanks for watching.
