I knew it was coming up, I didn't realize it was 8/2. I thought it was more like 9/15 or later. I would have gone, but nice to see it now on RUclips without the traffic and "decent" sound quality (8.5 out of 10). I wish these venues would put more time into promotion. Back in the 80s when we listened to the radio, these concerts would be mentioned months in advance and on rotation. You knew when a band was coming to town. Now we have bandsintown which just gathers your personal info and then they email you constantly about other bands you aren't interested in. Hopefully, someone will sort this out for the modern era.

Saw them in Nashville this past Wednesday. Took my daughter (30) she was amazed this guy is 76. She put him in her playlist after the show. They were amazing
Sometimes Joe sounds just like Eddie, and at other times he’s classic Satriani. It’s a very strange combination, but it’s okay because I like both of them for different reasons. Kudos to Joe for joining the tour and covering Van Halen in his own way.
I agree.... it is amazing how much difference there is in some of the riffs - just subtle attack, muting and bending differences. Eddie and Joe sound different playing the exact same riff with the same tone.
Very cool seeing two guitar greats putting their style onto these riffs. Shows you how much more there is to the instrument than simply notes and rhythm.
It took me a few listens to come to terms with it, and I couldn't agree with you more.
Not sure I’ve heard a better version of Summer Nights- takes someone like Joe to pull that off. Still not Eddie, but the best I’ve heard.

Yeah, he must have...have seen him on Utube vids years ago attempting some of Eddie's stuff and while he doesn't pull it off, it's only prolly because he hasn't practiced it yet....
When they did the Stern show I was a little concerned but Joe really pulled it off. He, and the band, sounded great. I know it’s not Van Halen, and the show could’ve had a little more old VH and less Sammy solo, but it’s as close as we are going to get now and I liked it.

@@SDune good to know. In case Joe gets sick or injures himself Sammy can just call SDune to fill in.
@@SDune a few months ago I saw a clip where he was struggling with some of it. He certainly put since work in to get it right.

I expected the quality to be much better myself. Too much zooming being used for my taste, and he had trouble with the focus from time to time. I'll be seeing them later in STL anyways!

I'm actually sad that anybody who thinks this "is as close as you are going to get to VH" is unfortunately underwhelmed.
They are getting better with every show. Joe had a lot of homework to do, but he's getting it more dialed every night!

Not just anybody is like, yeah sure! I'll go on the road playing EVH's guitar parts! & as Joe apparently put it himself, try to find video of EVH playing something, the same way, twice!

Love all these guys, but seeing Mike back on stage playing these songs - while smiling, joking around and perfectly in the pocket - makes the world seem a little less broken.

The Toledo Sports Arena was home to so many shows of my youth.
Iam so happy to see Jason ! He is an awesome drummer .You can surely hear his Dads influence in him! It’s hard for kids of late musicians get the credit they deserve !Jason has been held back due to who he is .Ppl will always compair him to his Dad.He is just as good as his Dad ..his Fa is the one who taught him to play .Even though Jason was young when John died ,he did play and was taught by John. Also if you look up “ Rockstar “ in the dictionary ..It will show a pic of Sammy ! He is a total icon!

Joe not playing EVH's guitars on EVH songs, also playing Satch Boogie instead of Eruption for that Eruption bit for the show, is all mad respect to EVH and at the same time he's saying "Look I'm not EVH, just a regular Joe".

I was at the Toronto show, and this show was one of the best concerts I've been to. Hats off to the Best of All Worlds Band for this amazing tribute for Mr. Eddie Van Halen, and to Sammy Hagar for putting up his own cash for this experience. Also, Thank You to Silver Stallion Videos for the amazing quality of this show. It's amazing to enjoy it again and again!

Obviamente no es Van Halen. Pero es lo más cerca que podemos estar de ellos, ahí estan Sammy y Anthony. Y está un guitarrista respwtado, un maestro, que además ha estudiado las composiciones de Eddie para replicar las de la mejor manera posible.
I'm a lifelong RUSH fan, they are my all-time favorite. But was a Van Halen fan first and credit them for "conditioning" my ear to the sound of Hard Rock and love em to death. 5150 baby! By the way, You can totally tell Sammy doesn't want to have anything to do with JUMP sing JUMP or even give it any attention... a total lack of acknowledgment to Roth.

Thank you thank you! I was at this show. Got tickets months in advance and couldn’t find anyone to go with. Asked a random dude from work that turned out to be a total alcoholic. He was smashed when we left. We got kicked out as soon as we got in, had to drive 2 hours home. Thank you! I was so pissed to miss Sammy.
