Got a job a few months ago as the PE coach. I pulled out the jump ropes for my middle school PE classes😮 I’m 42 years old and was surprise to see none of these kids could beat me in jumping rope. I started the challenge at 1 minute, granted I can go for about two minutes at a decent pace but I had to gradually decrease the time so they could become confident in their progress and at least challenge me or a peer. I was sad to see how kids don’t know how to jump rope. Then I was excited because I realized jumping rope is something I can introduce and for the kids who rather not participate in team sports or group activity, jumping rope is something they can do alone. I’ve invested in a set of ropes for the girls to double dutch. Oh and I ordered a get lean set of ropes from Jump Rope Dudes, can’t wait….
Have a healthy range is super important…it is your GPS for a healthy life. I do that but one thing I think is so important as weight control is the waist measurement…because sometimes the weight gain could come from muscle mass depending on the training we are doing. My health range is: Height: 5’9 Weight: 185 pounds Waist (from belly button): 91 cm Jump rope 5 x week plus bball 3 x week 👊🏻👊🏻
Thank you for this! I have always been kinda lean minus twice in my life.. when I lived in Spain.. and after that struggled to get back to my weight.. this took me abit cus also mental health but ye got it done amd was so proud of me.. now again I have eaten alot of shit and I am at that same weight again.. I 3 days ago started jump roping every other day 5 mins and ll continue on! Ive said no to sugar for the last few days and this video really helped me alot! So thank you ❤
I tried revamping my routine to 30/10 continuously for 10 rounds then adding resistance giant sets like in the dumbbell workout but found that I couldn't sustain it. My conditioning had fallen off because I neglected jump rope most of 2023 after rupturing my quad tendon near the end of 2022. I was doing more walking. I had to dial it back to the 4 rounds of 30/10 with some kind of body-weight movement every other round and 1 minute rest. Repeat 5-6 times. Basically going back to the drawing board. At 62, that's in my wheelhouse. I may start at 30/15 for a few rounds and recover by doing a few sets of DB floor presses, DB shoulder presses, DB split squats, etc then follow it with the rope again. I don't know that I'll ever be able to do 30/10 for 30 minutes due to my now bum knee, but I'm ok with that.
I appreciate that said weight loss is not the same for everyone. Doesn’t change the fact that we all can get to an ideal body composition but the journey will be different depending on where you start.
Pigging out is something we can all identify with. Knowing when to stop is what counts. No special diet required . Portion control is what its all about when it comes to fat loss.
I started with JRD90 in january 2021and it changed my life. Lost 23 kg and was so close to my goal, 85-90 kg and a nice body. I was at 93 kg by the end of jrd90. But i broke my back and the pain just got worse and worse. I have gained back all the fat i lost and lost my muscles and stamina that I worked so hard for. Havent been able to train consistently for 2 years now and im really angry, because after years of trying, i finally found a training method i loved, that I can do for the rest of my life. But now im back to zero, where i started. But i refuse to give up! As soon as my back has healed, im getting right back into jumping rope and eating clean and healthy. And DOING THE THING! Im gonna reach my goals and I know i can do it, because i was so close in 2021. I know what to do and how to do it and what works and doesnt work for me now. It's a tough Journey, but im a 100% commited to it. You really changed my life Dan, and I am forever grateful
Gooood video bro. I’ve worked out for like 7 years now and could never gain weight but tried and went from 190-225. It’s so weird not being lean, but I’m back to 217 rn and tryna get back below 200 before this month is up🤞🏼
I lost 25 pounds in about 3 months (and that's with having Thanksgiving and Christmas thrown in there). Did weight watchers during that time, as well as started jump roping 4-5 days a week. So far I've been able to keep the weight off.
Dan, I use the Crossrope app for many of my workouts, but a high percentage have intervals in the 3, 4, and 5 minute range. I have been jumping since 2020 and still gas out on those long intervals. You mentioned your 30 sec intervals for 30-40 minutes. I'm trying to lean up, and I feel the long intervals don't lend themselves to fun, sustainable, daily workouts. What is your expert thinking on this?
Can you do a weight loss program for short people. I enjoy jumping rope but realistically it's more difficult for people who are around five feet tall or less to lose weight than it's for people who are six feet tall.
Im 5`9" 175 and lately ive been going extra hard with Rucking, calistenics, boxing and jumping rope but feel like im getting too lean also.I never liked a bulky physique but I feel and look too skinny.

I do your workout 5 days a week, but I am not doing all the jump rope tricks that you do. Does it make a huge difference, or can I keep jumping fast like have been and get results?

It sure does. This is a big reason why I do intermittent fasting. Because I like to save my calories for my big meal (dinner) that happens after I train. That meal is high protein, moderate fat, lower carbs (not no carb) and keeps me really satiated for the rest of the night. Hope this helps

You mention how many times you jump rope per week. How about the (body)weight trainings? I do 4x jump rope, 2x weight training, and 1 day rest but I'm wondering if that's enough, or shall I have days when I do both...?
Are you weighing your food in grams or tracking it sauces as well That’s a big problem why a lot of people don’t loose weight because there not consistent enough to track and weigh there foods , are you getting in good steady state cardio a day between 8-10k steps and are you eating enough high protein foods I started Valentine’s Day on my fitness goals I’m down 21 pounds from 236 to 215. Do you hit the gym Dan? Or all that muscle is jumping rope?
Should lifting weights be part of that workout?
What kinda of jumped rope should I get bc I accidentally got a jump roped is too wide it always hits the ground
do you mean it's too long and hits the ground? check out our sizing guide for ropes, look up your height and see what the best rope length is for you → www.crossrope.com/jrd-yt and if you buy, don't forget your discount w/ code: DOTHETHING hope this helps!
@@JumpRopeDudes Yeah my Roped always hits the ground. My height 5'9
About a year ago, I was 170 lbs, and now I'm at 225 lbs. I want to at least 30lbs by this mid-May for my vacation. Too embarrassed to look at myself in the mirror, let alone shirtless on a beach.
Get a calorie-counting app and use it every day. That seems to work for me. When I stopped using the app, I started gaining weight.
if you are trying to lose weight for an event like a family vacation it will never work, its gotta be a year round thing
weak mindset
Do you still incorporate intermittent fasting?
sort of... ruclips.net/video/lfXsLgxdcgU/видео.html

Go to 190 and see how you feel
lol he said I dont wanna lose weight cause im a grown ass man
@@JumpRopeDudes no i said i dont wanna have to be a junior middle weight be ripped i wanna be rock solid at 190-200 lbs. ive been as small as 175 and i still had love handles.
@@bryanunion5110
your going to have to put a shit ton of hard and high volume workouts on a regular basis if you want to look "rock solid" at that weight. probably best off hitting the gym then doing calisthenics and jump rope. calisthenics and jump rope only gives the lean shredded look when your light with minimal fat
@@javadthemaestro i’m wondering do i need to eat something different or im not getting enough protein when i was hitting it hard at the gym i had big arms but still had chest fat and love handles
I wonder if jumping ropes can cure my slow metabolism due to hypothyroidism
Try it?
@@JumpRopeDudes got sore legs for 1st week, but I'm trying to jump regularly.
Went from 245 to 189 best shape of my life

Really?
Click bait!
So basically... nothing new?
maybe not for you, but hopefully someone else watching it
Request for a future video. I'm not sure if you've done this already, but I'd really like to have an in-depth tutorial on how to do the double side swimg. I've tried watching you do it and just figure out how, but that's not working, and I'm getting frustrated over it.
Will do!

I'm doing this by watching your channel only. Now I'm easily jumping 5000 jumps in 50 mints. Thank you sir
Glad to hear it!
