Thank you! I did 30 minutes will little breaks but i started with skips. The first week I did 100 skips a day and then The second 500 and third 1,000. It took me about 30 min to do 1,000. But 30-45 is good!

Got the leanest I’ve ever been once I found your guys’ channel in 2020 and started incorporating jump rope into my workouts. Doing 20-30 min with the 1/2lb and 1lb ropes is way more fun and effective than walking for 45-60 min on a treadmill or stair stepper

I watched this channel to get my technique down and went for it. I'm on day 4 1500 jumps in 15 minutes and I have found a new passion. I can't wait to pick up my rope.
The best advice I've come across! I'm a beginner and I've started with 10 minutes (breaks/trips) so basically a good 5 minutes of jumping. Today is day 3
I work from home and I jump rope(weighted) for 1-2 minutes 5-10 times a day, m-f. Gives me a flat stomach, not a 6 pack. These short sessions also give me energy and boost my mood through out the day.
Fantastic, exactly how starting. I'm doing 1min session around 5 times throughout the day. Building my strength slowly, looking to increase by 5 seconds every day.

First time seeing your channel. I'm 46 and I've been a weight lifter for years. I was in a near fatal car accident 4.5 years ago that required multiple lower back surgeries. I've FINALLY been able to lift weights regularly again for a little over a year, but need to slim down. I can't carry the mass I used to because my back hurts all the time(arthritic). I bought a jump rope and will be incorporating it in to my workouts starting tomorrow.
Thanks for keeping it real and honest at the end. I was that person who used to enjoy jumping rope an hour a day but I was still eating a lot of carb heavy foods ( think rice and sugary drinks every day). I wasn’t losing any weight at all. Once I cleaned up my diet, the weight started falling off and my workouts got even better. Listen to what he said guys!! 💯🙌🏾
nice Im kind of "dieting" right now (even though its not really dieting xD), I finally figured out that I always ate too much, now Im still eating sweets, potato chips and noodles, rice etc. but I finally realized how much my body really needs, and the feeling of: I just want to eat it, even though Im not hungry, disappeared. Through that I lost like 13lbs (6kg) :D And today Im finally starting with jump rope exercise ^^ Im so happy
I've had my Cross Rope set for at least 6 months and I finally took it to the park with my mat - I did day 1 of a beginner's challenge and I could keep up. I did work up a sweat and I felt like I got my heart rate going - I found a spot outside my building where I can take it for 10 minutes so I have a plan. Thank you! Looking forward to reaching my weight loss goals with Cross Rope!
I tried jumping for 2 minutes. I almost died 😂 In all seriousness It takes time. I was fit in high school. But I became a lazy adult. Baby steps. Best of luck everyone 😁
Agree 100% - I've been jumping rope consistently since 2013 and typically I use a timer for 10 sets of 3 minutes with 1 minute rest. There is no way not to lose weight doing this. I take my rope when I go abroad and even during xmass and Holidays eating crazy amounts of food, I think I even lose some weight. Awesome advice!
dude we do exactly the same workout, it's a great workout, I tried running for a few months 30 minutes a day and the results were not that good when compared to jump rope.

I came across jumprope challenge last year spring in March. I started at 240lbs. I was able to get down to 150 in like 6/7 months! Insane. I got married two months ago and I guess you can say I put on the happy 15lbs lol. I know I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. It’s just disappointing when you worked so hard to lose 80lbs and see yourself gain any extra weight is just annoying. This video was randomly in my suggestions so I think it’s a sign from god reminding me how amazing well jumprope was to me😂. I just wanted to say this guys speaking the truth and it does truly work. Just gotta clean up the way you eat for a bit and the weight will melt off. Gunna start my journey again and fingers crossed I can get to being 135-140 this time🙏🏾

So im curious, i started 30min skipping but in between i do kwttlebell swings and other dumbell exercises. For Eg, 30sec skip, rest 10sec, 30s3c kettle bell, rest 10, 30 sec dumbel latwral raise, 30 sec akip, 10 sec rest, 30 sec aerobic atep jump. Does this count as 30 min skipping and will i lose weight or i need to ditch the other excercises and just skip for 30min ? @JumpRopeDudes
Got my Get Lean set 2.5 years ago and while awaiting delivery, boom, I tore my lateral meniscus. Minor as it was took a while to shake it. Then sprained my Ankle 2 months ago just when I was getting ready to use my long awaited jumpropes. Man, you couldn't script this. Nearly recovered and almost ready to jump. Shall ease myself 2 mins a day into it. Thanks for the video.
I jump rope 15-20 min 6days a week along with push pull leg 40 minutes. And, I don't want to lose weight anymore now I want to maintain weight and be fit and healthy. When I was on losing weight I used to jump rope 40-50 minutes 6 days a week .

Thanks to you guyz I'm now able to jump rope and do the most amazing cardio excercise❤️. #Love from INDIA
I noticed after I started jumping rope, and then riding the bike at the gym my ankles were rather weak or irritated. Phasing into jumping rope is the best piece of advice I’ve heard.
Skipping rope is amazing. I used to be very active but stopped going to the gym for pandemic reasons, broke up after 5+ years of relationship and was having job problems By the end of 2020 my weight was in the 105kg range with a massive belly, shocking myself compared to my old body By 2021 I started skipping rope again (used to skip as warm up for 30 minutes) and now I'm at the 78kg range skipping 70 minutes everyday with minimal rest, while doing harder calistenics (just did my first "no hands push ups" yesterday) Trust me, skipping rope is a godlike exercise
I’ve tried to get into jump rope for well over a year and always had a recurring ankle injury because I was trying to go too hard too fast. The last few weeks I’ve just done 3-5 lots of 30 seconds on 30 seconds off 5 times a week and my ankle has been fine. Glad you put that bit in!
I'm legit surprised to find exactly what the title says in the content of a video from a channel over 1M subs in the fitness industry. You guys are awesome man. Thanks!
Great video and I'm not looking to lose weight and instead it's more about the fitness aspect for me. I'm 66 and I've been skipping rope for 20 minutes a day (well except in the very beginning!) for 9 years and it's just an awesome way to keep fit, plus you can take your rope with you everywhere. I also agree, Crossrope is the best!
I gained a lot of weight while in korea, started fasting, jump roping, doing HITT and jogging and leaned out nicely. Unfortunately I gained the weight back when I came back to the states but I have started doing the same things to help with weightloss and seeing gradually that I am losing weight again.
To anyone starting, i did 10 minutes every 2-3 days at the beginning, 2 months later i do 20 mins every day, trying to raise it to 30,go slowly, work your way up, dont be upset with yourself if youre doing much less, just work your way up
I'm currently on my third attempt at using jump rope to improve my fitness. I went too hard the first time, did two 15-20 mins sessions and ruined my shins/calves for days! I then found this video, but only managed three 5 min workouts. This time I've managed to commit the time way more consistently. Started at the end of July, I'm now on 22.5 mins three times a week, and about to step it up a little more. The fitness I've gained over the couple of months is great - I cycle regularly, and it has really improved my rides. This video was a huge help in getting me on this path, and I'm really enjoying the sessions. I'm even looking at upgrading to a weighted rope! Thanks dudes.
yup , it works! I went from 95kg to 74kg ;) sadly I started having pain in my hip and have been diagnosed with needing a hip replacement ( im only 45 ) so I have had to stop skipping and running and bicycling. I only do upper body training now until after I get my hip sorted. Look forward to jump rope again everyday
@@irvinargon awesome , most important is forming the habit of training as much as possible , dont over commit the time frame , grow it day by day. I honestly started with just doing a 2km walk 6 days a week. Then started jump rope at 50 reps , with any amount of break required. Increased that volume and did less breaks for shorter times. I settled with doing sets of 100 with shorter and shorter breaks, going for 1000 reps. I would time this and then keep working at reducing that time. A good time was sub 10 mins. But at that point I was also doing weights and bicycle and running. Everything short and high intensity. Go for it! would love to hear back from you with positive news. Its a mental battle , its difficult , but its not impossible.
Started 2 months ago. With ur videos of 15 minutes., (today I do them twice (30 min a day)) but never had any problems except for the frustrating part of not being coordinate enough... Great advice I feel really different and thus motivated me to start attending the gym. I've lost about 2 kg in this two months, and haven't really adjusted mi diet to a healthier one...
I remember the first time I looked at them in their videos and they seemed very good to me, on that occasion, they were recommending their jump ropes to which I was offended by the price of their products. I even had the nerve to comment that ,"I wouldn't even buy those expensive jump ropes", but ... now I swallow my words, thanks to you I started jumping rope, at first it was very difficult and frustrating, a year has passed now I can jump more easily and I can perform the boxer jump and jump on one foot with ease, still I need to improve and I know that it is all with practice, practice and patience. I am determined to invest in the complete set of jump ropes, they are worth it.
this is my third year of like "spring rope marathon" , in 2020 I jumped for 10-20 minutes, but my stamina developed a lot, now I'm really satisfactioned with jumping for 30-40 minutes, and my calves and legs feeling okay after 2 first weeks of including my body in this marathon.I adore jump rope, is unbelieavable cool cardio and fun at the same time.
Every single other video I watched got mogged by this one, you litteraly gave the answer 10 seconds in. Don't have time to watch the whole vid rn but I ll definitely come back to finish it later 🙏❤
Just started jump roping as an alternative to other cardio I can do at home. I have to say....I Love it! I did invest in the Cross Rope brand. I do love the choice of heavy or light rope. I'm actually not bad at jumping, so that encourages me not to blow it off. I actually look forward to jumping more then running right now... It's just rediculously hot every day for outdoor exercise in Texas. So Ill be checking out your channel for tips and tricks! Thanks...and Peace!
Truth, i have been jumping rope for 8 weeks and the results are amazing, i count while jumping at first dping even 200 skips was likea dream but now 2k per day is aloy easier
WoW! Saying It in the first minute judt engaged us all. Great work! I started doing 15" everyday and I couldn't do it a whole week. I'll try to slow down.
thank you so much! this is very helpful. i’m actually 85 kilos and i agree that beginners should do at least 3-5 mins, or go for 10 mins if still pumped. this is a great, informative video.. really loved it! 💕💕💕
Oh this is good info. I'm around 89 kgs and would love to start skipping. Best of luck :) Ps. Just got to the part where he speaks about it in the video haha
I'm going for 5 minutes a day. I've not consistently done jump rope; but can easily do a 45 minute session (1 minute jump rope followed by 1 minute rest) a couple times a week, and it feels natural. 5 minutes a day is good starting point/minimum amount, because after that I feel unfulfilled until I do a few more exercises with something else.
this was amazing. thank you for being straight to the point and giving tips! been wanting to start jump roping since forever and this really gave me the confidence to start
Man I wish I saw this video before I started skipping. When I started in December 2021 I would try and jump 1000 times every day (with breaks)...on top of running. After 2 weeks of this intense schedule I started getting shin splints. Really bad pain and I had to take a break for 2 weeks losing all my progress. Once I restarted I learnt my lesson to took it nice and slow. It's worked out and now I'm doing 1000 skips comfortably, starting to learn some tricks now and have lost 6kg! But dam, I wish I had watched this video beforehand, wouldn't have lost those 2 weeks.
Thanks for video as I now know how many minutes I should target for weight loss in the long run. I started 3 days ago and came across this video. I used to do 1000 per day but that was 15 years ago. I am 54 now and about 20kg overweight as per BMI chart. I started with 50 reps x 5 sets on first day as it was very easy on ankles. My ankle was fractured 1 year ago so starting slow. I plan to do 200 reps x 5 sets by end of January. There is really no rush. I am pretty sure I can do 30 minutes easily before end of 2024.
It´s true. I´ve been jumping for 3 years and during quarantine I ate like a crazy but I was still jumping daily, and I gained weight anyway hahaha. If you don´t eat properly, you can jump and nothing will happen.
I just started a challenge with my gym buddy. We are doing 1k jump ropes per day! Omg it feels amazing and I've already lost 5lbs in one week. Probably extra water weight and intermittent fasting...but still!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I was sore AF on that 3rd day.
@@moonl1ght660 nah it turns out I have a spine condition that was irritating a nerve. Painful AF and here I am making it worse doing jump ropes!! 😳😳😳...had ablation on the nerve and finally able to sleep and lose weight again. 😀
I sprint, practice pistol squats, and Bulgarian split squats along with parallette and gym ring work. I began incorporating the jump rope for about 5-6 minutes as a warm up and cool down on days I do sprint or hit legs. It’s improved my coordination and balance along with my overall speed and reflex.
Hello JRDs! I am having a doubt. I work out for 1 hour from Mon-Sat(Sunday is rest day). Now, if I do skipping for 30 minutes every day, I will have about
That has happened to me. I was a beginner….trying different styles…speeds…then…Im hurt and gave up. Ready to start again. So now Im clear. I guess I thought 3-5 mins wasn’t enough. 😂

Just finished my 1000th skip I'm happy i didn't know i could do it, being 1m55 and 72kg Weight goal is 60kg, how long should I keep going to achieve my goal?
NICE WORK KAD! Don't focus on the weight loss. Focus on the process! If you get consistent, skipping a few times a week, doing our workouts and managing your intake, you'll get results. Just enjoy it and get consistent!
Question: What would you recommend for a begginer that is heavily overweight? In my case I am 6'1" but I have 225 pounds (1,85m and 102kg for the metrics) and about 28% BF. I am going for the more intense route but my ankles and stuff inflamate quite a bit the next day. How could I strength them so I can go longer?
The truth is, you shouldn't try to go intense from the start. And in your case, you probably shouldn't do any jump rope until you reach around 95kg. And how would you get there? 2 options in my opinion and they are related to your body's ability to generate more force output due to you being 102 kg; One is sled push and pull, second is farmers carry. you might be wandering why though? Being 100+ kg everytime you jumb you are exposing yourself to a high probablity of injury. You want to find a low impact excercise/workout that you can do for 10-20 rounds. Both of the above options are low impact, high force output, which help burn more calories and speed up metabolism more efficiently. Pair that with good diet, high protein, low carbs, low fat, lots of greens, I promise you will feel and look different in 6 months time.
Only way to strengthen all the little muscles is time, consistency, recovery. I'd say a little bit of jumping rope every other day and build up to longer periods. Definitely should take at least 3 months of consistent light use to build up all those small foot muscles
I'm a 59 year old Australian and living in a small country town had the opportunity to go to a coaching lesson by two American basketball coaches when I was about 19 years old. The one thing I remember was they said if you want to get faster JUMP ROPE! So I did being 5'7" I needed to be quick around the court and it worked, the first 2 to 3 steps you made were quicker, sharper and more precise. I understood then why boxers jumped rope, I thought it was just for fitness but it was more about speed of the feet.

I'm 32 years old and in the years I've been seeing videos on RUclips on workouts and nutrition, this 5 minute video made me (for the first time) wanna comment and congratulate someone on putting out a video that was consice and realistic and not trying to be pushy on. So THANK YOU!! 😊
Genuine tips bro ❤️i learn too much about skipping to this channel.
I lost 10 kg in four months
2200 skipping daily
First month i did 300 to 500 by barley
Then slowly slowly my stamina have strong..now i did it in just 30 minutes
3 ronud
Fisrt round 1000
Second round fast 600
Third round fast 600
& My daily Calories intake 2000 to 3000
First of congrats! Did you jump rope with a weighted rope or a normal rope?
Are you skipping 3 times daily?
I did 2000-3000 skipping in 3 or 4 round, lost 9 kg in 5 months.
Skipping is faster way to lose weight and fat than running.
How is the jumping rope going?
How are you doing?
Thanks for keeping it real and honest at the end. I was that person who used to enjoy jumping rope an hour a day but I was still eating a lot of carb heavy foods ( think rice and sugary drinks every day). I wasn’t losing any weight at all. Once I cleaned up my diet, the weight started falling off and my workouts got even better. Listen to what he said guys!! 💯🙌🏾
Yes!! All about that nutrition!! So happy you found the perfect blend of workouts and nutrition!
nice
Im kind of "dieting" right now (even though its not really dieting xD), I finally figured out that I always ate too much, now Im still eating sweets, potato chips and noodles, rice etc. but I finally realized how much my body really needs, and the feeling of: I just want to eat it, even though Im not hungry, disappeared.
Through that I lost like 13lbs (6kg) :D
And today Im finally starting with jump rope exercise ^^ Im so happy
Nice one

I've had my Cross Rope set for at least 6 months and I finally took it to the park with my mat - I did day 1 of a beginner's challenge and I could keep up. I did work up a sweat and I felt like I got my heart rate going - I found a spot outside my building where I can take it for 10 minutes so I have a plan. Thank you! Looking forward to reaching my weight loss goals with Cross Rope!
I have a Crossrope set too.
Thanks for laying out the facts so clearly. I'm a total beginner and you told me what I need to know in the first 2 minutes.
People might see this and say "it's easy" nope even 10 minutes is pretty hard.
Did 15 today, not including rest. Sweet through my clothes and wore me out. Great workout!
Fr, tho i'm tryna do 20 mins now😁
I tried jumping for 2 minutes. I almost died 😂 In all seriousness It takes time. I was fit in high school. But I became a lazy adult. Baby steps. Best of luck everyone 😁

Thank you for the 3 week beginner program of 3-5 minutes 4 days a week. I'm totally going to do it. :)
How's the results?
Found this channel when I'm just starting... be back here after a couple of months, currently around 90kg. hope to bring it down to 80kg

Do your knees hurt?
How is this long term?
@@paulgreblick it's been pretty good so far, my knees don't hurt, but I've been jumping rope off and on for years. Just last month I decided to stop running altogether and doing this 30 minute jump rope routine instead, it's much more effective for fat loss.
@@paulgreblick If anything, I credit jumping rope to the fact I've had healthy knees and ancles at 37 yo even tho I train Jiu Jitsu and play soccer regularly. Just make sure you're using proper technique, meaning you should be jumping slightly off the floor and always landing on the balls of your feet. Hope that helps
Thanks!
You are so so right!Best example over here. With the right amount of calories per day and only 30 minutes of jump rope for 5 days per week i lost 8 kg in only 4 months and i bless you guys for your videos and wish you all the best and many many thanks for existing!!!!
Thank you for being here! Congrats on your success! Keep doing the thing!
At what intensity were you jumping?
@@Riya_draws i was trying to keep up with Brandon :) i did his 30 minutes workout for begginers for 4 months....it helped a lot also eating super healty and I haven't drank alcohool at all and didn't ate after 7 p.m.First week is rough but then you get user to it and you start feeling better and better in all ways, you just got to keep on doing it...
Best way to train during your jump rope workout is to do so while listening to a mix of both ROCKY 3&4 scores and soundtracks with "You're The Best(Around)" from THE KARATE KID and mix in some '80's WWF era Intro themes for added Warrior mentality!

I do this with ALTERNATE DAY FASTING and a clean diet......the weight is meltin off....i will be a complete stud this Summer
Alternate day fasting is like magic. Lol. The weight disappears unbelievably fast.
Guys I am 5 feet three and was weighing 90+ KGs, I started jump rope, and I am into my second month and doing 3000 jump ropes in about 50-60 minutes and without any diet, I have lost some weight and I am now 87 KGs. It works guys. I am eating what I eat daily but with less sugar

This is one of the first channels I have subscribed to after only a single vid. Concise, too the point, caveats pointed out and practical program given.
I've never heard someone on RUclips be so direct and straight to the point. You're incredible and I've subscribed immediately

THANK UUUUUUU SOOOOO MUCH for sharing this AMAZING informative video. I want to jump rope to build cardio and LOSE WEIGHT. However I find it's not as easy since I was a kid😭. I felt like something was wrong with me because I couldn't do a 30min workout jumping rope. Some of the symptoms you were describing...I DEFINITELY experienced. NOW I KNOW, build my endurance, and pace myself. 3-5min's a day, 6 days a week and add on each week as I go. BLESS YOU🙏
So glad this one clicked for you. keep doing the thing 💪🏻⚡️
You are a genuine person with pure intentions, you said the truth clearly in a few seconds. God will bless you abundantly in all those beautiful things you are doing!
Wow, thank you so much. God bless you!
Gunna start my journey again and fingers crossed I can get to being 135-140 this time🙏🏾
How did it go?
I have been looking for fun exercises to keep me motivated on my weight loss journey. I came across your channel a few months back, but I'm now making the time to put it into effect. I haven't touched a jump rope since I was young, and I'm real excited to get back into it! Love this channel you guys are awesome!

Thanks for the video.
i started like 4 days ago and with caloric deficit I can see the changes already... this is amazing.
I jump rope 15-20 min 6days a week along with push pull leg 40 minutes.
And, I don't want to lose weight anymore now I want to maintain weight and be fit and healthy.
When I was on losing weight I used to jump rope 40-50 minutes 6 days a week .

And how much time it took ?

That was really brief with all info covered. I really like you guyz. You never ever waste time. I've not only lost weight with you guyz but also gained a lot muscle. What matters is muscle mass.
Thanks to you guyz I'm now able to jump rope and do the most amazing cardio excercise❤️.

I noticed after I started jumping rope, and then riding the bike at the gym my ankles were rather weak or irritated. Phasing into jumping rope is the best piece of advice I’ve heard.
IT's anything dude. Start slowly!!
I00 percent I agree with yall. I have been jumping rope for several years. 20 to 30 minutes has always worked for me and other athletes.
I like this guy. They say you know if you like someone in the first 15 seconds, I like him. Thank you
Skipping rope is amazing.
I used to be very active but stopped going to the gym for pandemic reasons, broke up after 5+ years of relationship and was having job problems
By the end of 2020 my weight was in the 105kg range with a massive belly, shocking myself compared to my old body
By 2021 I started skipping rope again (used to skip as warm up for 30 minutes) and now I'm at the 78kg range skipping 70 minutes everyday with minimal rest, while doing harder calistenics (just did my first "no hands push ups" yesterday)
Trust me, skipping rope is a godlike exercise
You did the thing!! Happy to hear you turned it around for yourself in 2021!
Thanks for the clear guidance on how to structure jump rope sessions. I feel more confident about starting my weight loss journey.
Thanks!
appreciate you bro!
9 years!! Love to hear that!
I gained a lot of weight while in korea, started fasting, jump roping, doing HITT and jogging and leaned out nicely. Unfortunately I gained the weight back when I came back to the states but I have started doing the same things to help with weightloss and seeing gradually that I am losing weight again.
To anyone starting, i did 10 minutes every 2-3 days at the beginning, 2 months later i do 20 mins every day, trying to raise it to 30,go slowly, work your way up, dont be upset with yourself if youre doing much less, just work your way up
10 minutes continuously?
Thanks dudes.
thanks, sounds like you're making great progress. you got this! 💪⚡️
yup , it works! I went from 95kg to 74kg ;) sadly I started having pain in my hip and have been diagnosed with needing a hip replacement ( im only 45 ) so I have had to stop skipping and running and bicycling. I only do upper body training now until after I get my hip sorted. Look forward to jump rope again everyday
how long did it take to go from 95 to 74kg? Sorry about your hip by the way.
@@irvinargon hey there - it took 10 months ;) Are you training? how much do you need to loose?
@@shaderbytes Thanks for the reply. I want to start training. I'm currently at 92 kg, My goal is 75 kg.
@@shaderbytes Thanks
You gave the answer immediately, and that made me watch the whole video. No dragging for the answer. THANK YOU.
no secrets over here. hard work and consistency go a LOOOOONG way.
this is my third year of like "spring rope marathon" , in 2020 I jumped for 10-20 minutes, but my stamina developed a lot, now I'm really satisfactioned with jumping for 30-40 minutes, and my calves and legs feeling okay after 2 first weeks of including my body in this marathon.I adore jump rope, is unbelieavable cool cardio and fun at the same time.

Ps. Just got to the part where he speaks about it in the video haha
honestly one of the best fitness channels. no bullshit and straight to the point answers only.
So sorry you had to learn the hard way! But happy to hear you've got a great routine going!
Give this man an Oscar! Thank you for your video, short and to the point.
Glad it helped!

He is simple and get to the point love this vedio thank you

I'm a 59 year old Australian and living in a small country town had the opportunity to go to a coaching lesson by two American basketball coaches when I was about 19 years old. The one thing I remember was they said if you want to get faster JUMP ROPE! So I did being 5'7" I needed to be quick around the court and it worked, the first 2 to 3 steps you made were quicker, sharper and more precise. I understood then why boxers jumped rope, I thought it was just for fitness but it was more about speed of the feet.
