📺 Jump rope is a really good activity for kids to build up their motor skills. For boxers, it is used to develop balance coordination and foot speed. Overall it is a cheap and accessible exercise. It is incredibly effective to burn calories or reshape your body. Compared to running you can burn two times more calories.
In this video, you will see Numan learning how to jump rope from scratch and jumping every day for 30 days as a target. He lost weight, transformed his body significantly and learned some joyful moves to spice up his jump rope exercises.
Since it is easy on the muscles and joints, regardless of age, rope skipping can be added to everyone's exercise routine. We hope this video will motivate you to start your own Jump Rope journey.

3-Diet Plan
Generally i have a low carb diet, eat max. 2 times a day with max 8 hours in between. I consume almost no sugar, snacks, chocolate, biscuits. Every two weeks i have a cheating day. My diet plan did not help me loose weight but kept my weight even though i ate alot in each meal. Starting with Jump rope i did not make changes, only tried to consume less fruits. For a quicker weight loss i would suggest to eat only once a day and cut the snacks completely. Look into intermittent fasting to get more info.
4- Injuries
Do not underestimate the warm up moves and right body posture especially the jump height. They will most probably prevent 90% of the injuries. If you feel pain, try to divide your training into multiple sessions in a day. If you cant walk take a day of :) Overall jump rope is even less impact on muscles and joints than running. But still listen to your body.

If you have any further questions, feel free to write. I go through all of them. Best of luck on your jump rope journey!
How much jumbe per day ?
@@bushr1769 Only counted the time but not the amount of jumps
@@Pushment wb week 3 and 4?
Btw, week 2 is up to 30 min or between 10 and 30??
@@ella33206 between 10-30 minutes :)
@@arshgill_7746 tyyy :))
This is inspiring. Today was day 1 for me, I am currently 380 pounds and I got so frustrated because I couldn't even jump over the rope. But I kept trying, and eventually got to 3 minutes. Here is to day 2 tomorrow.
Thank you. First days will be hard, but dont loose your motivation. Already on day 7 you will feel amazing and in control of the rope. Keep it going. Good luck with your jump rope journey!
I heard overweight people shouldnt start with jump rope because it will destroy their knees.
What is your experience with that after 4 days?
@@Hakumo84 What helped me is I played football and I'm relatively active already. I'm about 6'3.
I had to modify it to just 3 minutes. I started feeling it in my shins, but dont let that discourage you. I also do a modified jump like a little bounce before each jump. And swing the rope to my left side and right side before jumping. So it helps me while I get my endurance up, and allows me to be easier on my knees and shins. I'm also getting fitted for new shoes because I've been working out in lifestyle shoes and thats probably a big part too. So at the end of the day, as your working your way up, I'd recommend taking it slow and steady, for me the key is that I am being active everyday. The results I want might not show up for 40 days or 50 days, but thats ok
keep it up you'll get there!!!
@@SMOCAT08
When you're not having any problems and seeing success that's great.
I am a little weird with my goals. As long as I sweat thats good enough for me. Results will follow eventually. When I started, the saltiest sweat left my pores.
Just keep it up (I am telling this to both of us) and we're gonna make it. :)
I was expecting a mediocre video and some explanation of the jumping rope journey.
You put the work in the training and you did a great job explaining the process, but the work you put in filming and editing is amazing. I came here for jumping rope tips and I will stay for the quality of the video. Nice job man, keep doing it!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We put a lot of work into the story and editing side of it to make it more interesting for viewers. We hope this way the viewers will be motivated to start their own journey, improve their body and mental state.
i agree 100%... #KeepItUp
@@Pushment I agree that the video was well put together and informative, you lost 6.1KG in a month which is almost a stone which is impressive. However, I do think that the video is slightly misleading as at the start you are eating loads of bad food and then you do the 30 day jump rope challenge, in your description you talk about your "Diet Plan" this is the key here to why you have lost 6.1 KG not the jump rope, as I am sure you know diet is at least 75% and the rest is exorcise. The exercise obviously helped but it was only a quarter of what was responsible for you loosing almost a stone.
Please note I do not mean this as a negative comment as to jump rope or or 30 minutes a day takes discipline and dedication, I am just trying to make sure that we can all acknowledge that it is what we are eating that makes the biggest impact when loosing weight and not exercise
Well said.
@fid29801 I was expecting the same 😊😊but his filming and editing is superb 👏👏 and I straight away subscribed the channel..
This is my third week jumping rope, and it’s definitely easier. At first I could barely jump over the rope, but now I can do like 30-50 without messing up. It’s all about going your own pace, and watching your posture. I’ve lost 4 1/2 lbs. within 3weeks. I plan on skipping rope everyday.
That sounds amazing. Keep up the good progress! Good luck with your jump rope journey.
@@Pushment 1kg in 3 weeks, thats amazing! keep it up!
Hi Im in my 5th month of jumping now and Im in the best shape of my life.
Lost almost 15 kg and about to drop some more. Hope that more people will find this as a daily cardio. And is also healthy for your brain. Keep going!!
That sounds amazing. Congratulations on your progress. I wish also that the people will discover this amazing activity. It is fun, easy on muscles, joints, accessible, cheap and extremely efficient. I will definitely keep jumping!
is there any change in your eating habits please ?
@@rajinndorsinghsaroya9 thanks for the question. I eat three times a day, I eat everything, but I try to avoid white flour if possible (white bread, pasta ...). Because they make me bloated and slow down my metabolism. I started drinking chlorophyll, only 15ml a day. As always, lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. I got used to eating breakfast. you need to drink plenty of water (2.5 - 3L / day) and less sweets. I started to be careful with my diet before I started jumping. I hope thats something u wantet to hear. If there is something else, ask, maybe someone else is reading this as well.
@@Pushment thanks, and yes i agree with accessibility because it's something many people have a problem with. And of course your video is one of the very interesting ones. the way you jumped in the beginning is quite similar to my initial period
@@tiarenko4920 Please explain chlorophyll drink and here in India we eat 3 times a day wheat with cooked vegetables. Is there any need to replace wheat ?
I've watched a LOT of jump rope vids over the past few months, not one of them ever bothered to mention stretching and prep. Warming up is always important to avoid injury! Kudos to this vid for the entertaining intro, the information and instruction, and the incentive to get up off my keister and do something.
Thank you for your kind words.
Warming up is indeed the first thing beginners should learn. I learned it the hard way :) Right from the start the third day i could barely walk and had to take a break. But up from day 4, i did stretch the muscles before and after the training, and as you can see i didn't have any problem the remaining 26 days.
I want to of course point out that i am not an expert, i watched a lot of tutorials and applied different things. This video is the documentation of what worked for me the best.
Good luck with your jump rope journey
I have been jumping rope for 9 years and i always stretch before jumping rope if u dont do a full warmup just a min of stretiis necessary imo

I think that no one could have ever described rope skipping better.
It was beautiful to see Your progress, Sir, both in the skill and silhouette.
Rope skipping is, indeed, amazing.
We congratulate You on the achievement and wish You a good, better life with the rope beside You.
Best Regards, Vic S. NOHF Team.
:D It is quite amazing to see how quickly body adapts to rope skipping. Thank you for your kind words. I sure have my rope with me almost everywhere i go.
This is so inspiring. The details and tips are so helpful. Also love your editing!
Thank you for your kind words.
Finally someone who is not a pro rope jumper from the beginning! Great video, thanks for the motivation. Started rope jumping this week, still have to get the basics into my brain and body. Keep up the good work!
Thank you. You will get the basics in max. 2 weeks. Keep jumping everyday!
I really enjoyed watching, and the intro to the video was creative ! I started jump rope three years ago, and it was the best work out and now my favourite hobby! Keep it up
Awesome! Thanks and you too!
I do this 10 minutes a day , every day. Then mix it up with leg exercises for 10 min. Then overall cardio exercises for 10 min. Done!🙏🏿

@@idontcarei i wouldn't recommend the "one size fits all" approach. You know your body better than anyone.
Yes, the calves do feel it. Mine certainly do. But for me, thats usually when I don't do warm ups beforehand or some aerobic stretching.
Don't jump straight into it. It will tire you out. I realize (with age) just how important warm ups really are. The body is like a car engine. You need to warm it up for peak performance. This especially the "vintage models" like me🤣😁.
Add to that breaks in between. Take em when needed. Nobody is watching you and will score you down for that. You will still get the results over time.🙏🏿
Also found this video via Reddit. Felt like i was on the cusp of realizing i needed to start working out again and this pushed me in the direction of jump ropes. Very glad i found it, going on my own journey now!
I am happy this motivated you. Best of luck and success on your journey💪
Great video. Both in terms of content and in filming/editing. Well done :)
Thank you
Big props to you, dude. Great quality video, and it was entertaining, too. I recently started skipping everyday, too, and yeah I mean, I don't know what kind of weight-loss I'll have in the end, but it's something I plan on keeping up for the rest of my life.
Thank you man. Best of luck!

Considering the amount of subscribers you guys have, I was expecting this to be some normal vlog or something but both the quality and information provided in the video were really really good. This video is by far one of the best fitness related videos I've seen on this platform. Great work man.
Also, the skit at the beginning was very well made. 😂
Thank you for your kind words.
agree!! he did an exceptional job..as a matter of fact I subscribed!! great content
This is the best tutorial for beginners that I have seen. Posture clearly explained, need for warm up. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
Love this man. Great video. Good contrast from couch pro to jump rope pro. Interesting to see how the stretching helped your jump. In the beginning of the video when you started jumping you would jump up and your heels would come together due to inflexibility. Later on in the video you have a much better foot launch and your whole body looks more like a spring.
Thank you. Already second week felt natural. Its crazy how quickly body adapts to it.
When I start my transformation.before this I watch that type of video than I feel motivated .
Great video + tips! And the intro was hilarious!
Thank you
Best jumprope progress video on youtube! I wish I could jump rope. All my spine discs are herniated and have rods in my upper back and waiting for cervical neck surgeon....but if I could this would be a go to video! Great fitness and cardiovascular exercise!

Very good content and entertaining, salute to you sir for taking care of your health and for being consistent in finishing until the 30th day
Thank you for your kind words.
Started 2 days ago 45 minutes split into 3*15 min session . My middle back was aching yesterday so today decided to do 25k on my bicycle around town. Tomorrow back to skip rope and I also do 16/8 intermittent fasting and keto . It is amazing how you can feel your whole body especially the core at work while jumping
Sounds amazing. You can combine rope skipping with cycling frequently, cycling will help with warming up and stretching. I also combined jogging, one supports the other
Hello, how long did you do it in total and how much weight did you lose?
As much as I hate exercising skipping rope is the only activity that I enjoy and always looking forward to.
Right now, I not only admire your physical skills, but your video editing skills.
That intro is sick, and those slow motion explanations are perfect. 😀❤️
Thank you for your kind words❤️
Thank you for the video, it motivates me to keep jumping rope 😁🙏

I'm glad I came across this video. I'm planning on incorporating jumping rope in my workout routine, I hope that it will be my gateway to jogging. I don't really need to lose weight, I just want to keep and maintain a strong body. This video is very informative, which will come in handy for when I start doing this exercise. @@Pushment how long
Your excellent video motivated me to try this. I’ve been jumping rope since April of this year 5 days a week. I’m 55 and last Friday I got up to 25 minutes and 19 seconds straight without stopping. Thanks to you.
That is just amazing read. I am really happy i could motivate you to start jumping. But it is your dedication to keep it up for such a long time. My video was maybe just a little push. How is your experience with it so far? Did it make a big difference in your life or you were already living a healthy lifestyle with lots of movement and sports?
@@PushmentaThanks for the kind words. My experience with this workout is amazing. It’s really addicting in a good sense and after I’m done I’m drenched in sweat and feel very great. This has made a big difference so far. For the last 15 years my body was getting more aches and pains which I know is the normal aging process. However since jumping rope I have noticed certain pains have subsided and a couple have disappeared. I’ve been very athletic in high school and college got my black belt when I turned 40 and ran the LA marathon in 2015. I’m no stranger to hard work. My experiment with my body now is to see how long I can keep in excellent shape, hopefully into my late 70,s. We’ll see how my body responds. Also want to be able to keep up with my 11 yo daughter and 7 yo son. Thanks again. I’ll keep you posted on my success. Your jump rope friend, Sean
Great video, boxer jump rope cause its probly One of the best overall exercises there is for your Body. Keep maintaining Young and healty ✌️

great job!!!! you look amazinnnnnnnnnngggggg!!! i can do the crossovers but Im struggling with the boxer step....and I really wanna learn it..
Thank you for your kind words. You can definitely do it. It looks tricky and hard to get, try to follow the step order i show in the video. It is an awkward move until you get used to it, bending one knee slightly , letting other leg more straight gives you the required posture. Just keep trying, you will get it in couple sessions easily. Best of luck!
@@Pushment im not gonna surrender!!! I'll update when I got it :))))))) hahhaha

Very realistically documented! Pretty much achievable with a proper diet. 👌🏾👍🏽💪🏽
I presume a diet in high carbs is good?
@@kelvinpham9252 a high carb diet is never a good option for weight loss a better option or the best is a high protein diet or a keto diet! Only if you’re a trained athlete who’s not looking for body recomp it’s feasible.
@@kelvinpham9252 need to do the opposite, you need to NOT eat carbs. like at all, to enter ketosis, but generally everyone i talk to say to keep a low-carb diet. It works better in the long run cuse you dont want your body to revert back the minute you introduce carbs after reaching your ideal weight.
AWESOME...LOVE IT

Hey dude its really awesomeand so nice to see the result........ actually i got a question for you how much jumps do you take a day?
Thanks man. Week 1: 5-10min, Week 2-4: 30min jump time.
I didnt focus on the amount of jumps, rather focused on the "jump time". It worked for me the best.
Great Video. Started my journey 3 days ago. Did you have prior experience jumping rope? As I struggle to do more than a handful of jumps at a time.
Thank you. I didnt have any experience. I was struggling a lot in the begining as well. I could only do 10 skips in one go. But quickly o got better. First week is critical. Do not give up. Even if you can do only a few skips keep on trying over and over. Best of luck on your jump rope journey!
