- The Chase Sapphire Preferred is one of, if not the BEST mid-tier travel credit cards across all lenders. In this video, I give a brief overview of the Sapphire Preferred, talk about why I'm applying for it right now, then walk through the application process. Hopefully I got approved! Let me know what you guys think down below!

How do you guys feel about the Chase Sapphire Preferred?
Sapphire Prefered is my main travel card with the trifecta. I only travel once or twice a year so a premium travel card doesn't make sense. I also have the Amazon Vise Chase card (non prime member card) as a backup when I travel as a backup card. This is the only Chase no annual fee card without a foreign transaction fee.
@@volkswagen4866 I think the sapphire preferred is the perfect card for people like you who travel a couple times per year. And that’s actually kinda funny how the Amazon card is the only no annual fee card without a foreign transaction fee lol.
I appreciate the anticipation. On the flip side of things, you are not the first, but it's funny how much pple want a card that they have to start paying an annual fee towards.... 'Yes, I got it and now I can start giving them money' Just Ironic. Congrats.
@@dlc8506 it’s more so that people want the benefits the card can bring I think. I’m not looking forward to giving them money, but I am looking forward to the upside of the card, and I am willing to pay the price for it. For me at least lol. Thanks for watching!
@@SpencerChewitt Oh I am aware, congrats again
Let's go bro! Great pickup with that 75k offer!
Thanks Josh! I’m excited to use it.
Congrats on the approval!
Woooo🎉🎉. Well deserved must feel good to complete the trifecta!
Feels great! I appreciate your consistent support!
Congratulations Spencer!!😀😀🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much!! I appreciate you watching.
Congrats on the new card Spencer!! 🎉🎉 First AF card, wow! Now that the seal is broken, I’m sure that there will be many more to come 😅!
Thanks Stan! I’m very excited. And yeah, I’ll have to restrain myself now that the flood gates are open 😂
Congrats on the approval;!
Thank you! I’m excited to see how much value I can get from the card. I appreciate you watching!
Congrats Spencer and nice limit too! Enjoy the CSP and use those UR points wisely when you get them 🙌🏾
Thanks CJ! I’m really excited to get some value from the completed trifecta.
Congrats on your new CSP!
Thank you!
That is Amazing!! Congratulations this the only card I need for the trifecta. Hopefully another elevated offer will be around for Q3.
Thank you! I'm sure you'll get a nice elevated offer once you're ready to apply too.
Congrats Sir!! Yes, I would love to see you do a comparison video between the CSP, Citi Strata Premier (CSP), and the WFAJ. Great video Sir!
I appreciate it! And yeah they all seem really good. I’ll probably hold off a tiny bit since they’re still pretty new, just to see how they do. Sooner than later though!
Congrats 👏
Thank you!
Lol! You could definitely tell you were stalling on hitting that submit button. 😂 It’s nice to see that I’m not the only one who gets super nervous with credit card applications. Congrats on the approval! I just got mine this month too. 😄
Yeah I was stalling hard 😂 I appreciate it. Congrats on your approval too!
Excellent addition solid card! ✊💳
Thank you! ✊
Happy 5/24 Day Sir! 😁
Thank you! 😁 … 😅
Good for you!
Thank you!
@@SpencerChewitt your next card is amex! Please join the club soon! Haha
Congrats 🎈. Have a great road trip to the beach 🏖️ 🏐😎
Thanks so much! And yeah we love going to the beach 😃
Congrats on your approval, Spencer! I plan to apply for this same card in the near future. Hopefully, the elevated welcome offer will still be available when I apply. I just fell back under 5/24 a few days ago, but I am going to play it safe and wait until at least the beginning of June to apply. If approved, this card will also complete my own Chase trifecta. I think the Chase CSP card is the best mid-range travel card available and I think it will be able to get value from it. I also plan to take advantage of the hotel credit as I am looking to travel more. It would be good if you could do a video in the future comparing the Chase CSP to the Citi CSP and the WF Autograph card!
Thanks John! Whenever you do apply, I wish you good luck as well. I’m excited to see how much value the chase trifecta can give me. And I’ll definitely consider doing that comparison. I’ll probably wait a bit longer to see how the strata premier and the autograph journey hold up. I think once Wells Fargo announce their other transfer partners in the future, it could potentially be really competitive. I appreciate you as always!
@@SpencerChewitt I just applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred today (June 11) and was instantly approved for it, so I am very happy. I can't wait to get it so I can start using it to work on the welcome offer right away!
@@johnmckinstry6057 congrats! Let’s goooo! Just in time to lock in the elevated welcome bonus too 🙌 I hope it treats you well. It’s been great for me so far.
Congrats
Thanks Chad!
I got a mail in offer for the Sapphire Preferred for 80k bonus points that I got approved for last month!
Ooh nice! Love to see those elevated mail offers. Congrats to you!
CONGRATULACIÓN 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!!
I have to strategize this … I’ll be applying at the end of the month in branch (85K) … and to complete the Trifecta. Europe here I come 😊
Yeah that in branch offer is great too if you’re gonna be able to do the extra spending to get it! Good luck, and enjoy Europe!
“We” did it! Ha ha.
Yes we did 😁
Does anyone know if Spencer is part brotha with that deep soulful Morgan freeman like voice ?
😂😂 I am not. Thank you though. It’s just a blessing I guess.
We’re actually related but Spencer doesn’t want to advertise that to respect my privacy 🤫
@@ItsMeCJ shhhhhhhhhhhhh
I don't travel. Are there any cards offering similar options? I am top tier credit and had Amex Plat but dumped it due to fees.
The Citi strata premier and Wells Fargo autograph journey are the most similar to the sapphire preferred, arguably with better earning categories. If you’re not traveling, you could look towards something like the Amex Blue Cash Preferred. It’s a solid cash back card with decent insurances too.
@@SpencerChewitt Thanks for this info!
Ideas of how to spend $4000 in 3 months?
Never go out of your way to spend that much. I plan any welcome bonus around bigger purchases that I was going to make already. For example with me, my mom’s and my girlfriend’s birthday are both coming up, and any gifts I get are going straight on this card. The mini vacation we’re taking was paid for on this card too.
