It is very comforting to hear you talk so openly about your experience with bipolar

Best video on bipolar yet. I'm diagnosed bipolar and to hear someone who's made a video on the day to day life and in-between episodes is amazing, I'm on a constant anxiety edge and try to hard to keep every day level, it's exhausting sometimes, sociable anxiety presents itself quite alot. Great video, glad I'm not the only one who feels like this 👍

Thanks so much for your comment Darren - likewise, it’s nice knowing someone else out there experiences similar day to day thoughts

@@itsmikemcdonnell I'm currently on quetiapine aswell as small dose of sertraline for ocd also Propranolol (beater blocker) which helps for circumstantial situations. I showed this video to my psychiatrist team and said this is the inner struggles iv had for years. I feel better in myself just from this video, iv watched other videos you've done and they're brilliant. Many thanks for replying 👍

Most of your symptoms are just the same as my son’s. This things I subtly noticed as he was growing up but just didn’t pay much attention to it because apart from this things, he’s such a sweet and beautiful person to our eyes. But the perfect storm shocked us for the last two years when the tide went against us. It was horrible and unimaginable journey! He’s turning 31 this year. 🤞

Wow, so my stable thoughts aren’t just normal thoughts… Does your son have Bipolar? I hope he’s slowly recovering 🙏 I can assure you there is hope!

@@itsmikemcdonnell yes he’s got bipolar type I. He has gone back to work for over two months after over a year of being offsick from the condition but he’s in the down side again😢. Before the mania and psychosis he was prescribed for antidepressant but as he was feeling better and feeling great, he suddenly stopped it on his own decision with combination of odd cannabis but sadly this set him off to mania and psychosis. He was admitted for over a month. It was really a hard struggle really. He lost his house, girlfriend, friends, almost all his money and job.😢

@@itsmikemcdonnell it’s hard to believe looking at you, you’ve been through it as you look really really well. But looking at my son is seems completely hard to see the old beautiful sweet son that’s full of life and charisma. But I will try to keep saying to myself that hopefully one day he will come back.🙏

@@itsmikemcdonnellso there is a spectrum with Bipolar which is bipolar 1 or 2 sometimes rapid cycling. This is split into the severity of the manic episodes where as Bipolar 1 can go full manic and without the need for sleep for a period of 7 days or longer and require immediate hospitalization where bipolar 2 would go hypomanic for approximately 4 days or so. For both the depression is very real and dangerous . Im classified as Bipolar 1. Good times

@@itsmikemcdonnellI find Dr. Tracey Marks video break downs so simple to understand! She has done many on BP1 & BP2. I’m here because my spouse has a mixed bag of issues he feels lost and out of control at times and I’ve been trying to get him to see a psychiatrist. After watching hours of videos from doctors and people with similar symptoms I observe him having what seems like high anxiety depression panic attacks mood swings racing thoughts but I’m not a psychiatrist so for our families sake I’m really trying to get him to be more aware of what he’s going through so he can live a happier life and have better relationships with us at home. Enjoyed this video!

I’ve been doing it for about six months and it helped a ton. I’ve actually been slacking off the last few weeks (it is hard to stick with fully, no question) and my mood is suffering. Really need to crack down so I’ve been drinking keto chow shakes for breakfast, salads for lunch, and mostly meat with some veg for dinner.

      Maybe!
I’d love to find out. How could I go about doing that? 🤔 I’d feel a little like I’m wasting the Doctor’s time by just turning up to ask if they can assess me 🤣
