Skyrim Battles - Sam Guevenne vs. Ancano, Neloth, Harkon, and more

- Sam Guevenne is a very unique mage. He has some of the best spells in the game and over 1000 magicka, but not a single perk, plus no way of casting destruction spells his left hand. He looks really good on paper, but in battles, he can be much worse, although he often does quite well because of his Dremora Lord. Magicka bars make those fights even more interesting!
Sam vs. Harkon is pretty cool to see. They both tend to deplete an opponent's magicka in other battles (Sam because of his shock spells and extreme magicka, Harkon because he absorbs magicka), so putting them against each other leads to a good match. Also, they are both really aggressive at using their summoning spells, much more than most other NPCs, making for a very tense battle.
Sam could get back up at the end because he is always essential (even if you try to change that with the console), making him unable to die. I was not intending for him to continue fighting after Harkon had beaten him the first time, but it turned out to be a really cool twist!

Yes! 😂 When I was playing Skyrim (before I made those videos), I had a mod that replaced the conjuration sound with the Pokéball release one. It was awesome 😂

Neloth was close he could've won if he just ignored the Dremora.
He also could have won if his Ash Guardian didn't despawn regularly. I think I know why that keeps happening, and I'm hoping to have fixed it for future episodes 😄

Harkon actually won a fight no way. Also Dukaan just obliterated Sanguine and his dremoras with Hermaeous Mora’s Seekers
I had doubts about Harkon here, but he did really well!
@@lSlendermaster How’s the dragon priest fix working so far?
@@AArrow- I have only tested it a few times, but it worked on every single occasion, even with 24 Priests at the same time. I still can't be sure about it until I have made a whole episode with it though. A lot of things seem to work at first, but in different situations, some problems can arise

Dremoras DPS is so high even for bosses like Harkon. If you dont take it out fast its OVER

His AI is very good actually...he can cast spells while going backwards and not get stuck in places while doing so

@@Supcharged Savos usually beats Neloth for me, but it mainly depends on how well the Dremora Lord does. Same here, really 🤷

It was a really interesting fight for me too! Harkon and Sam can both be surprisingly good or bad, depending on the opponent

@@lSlendermaster, thanks for posting those links. I enjoyed them. Though not as spectacular as some videos, I loved seeing Arngeir defeat Delphine and Esbern. Especially Delphine. Imo, she's bigoted and self-important. I'd love to see Paarthurnax beat her too. Don't go to a lot of trouble on my behalf, but I expect others would like to see that one too, if it's not already out there.
Another good moment was when you wisely posted Miraak bragging he could've beaten Alduin if he'd wanted to. A great prelude to him getting roasted by the firstborn dragon. Nicely done.👍

Well there IS a way...using ritual stone but it's not as fun as using dead thrall...soul tear shout can also raise them but they will turn to dust afterwards
@@alirafati9340 I was thinking of Soul Tear too, but yeah, that wouldn't give you a thrall 😂
@@alirafati9340Thralls tend to be really useless if you play aggressively, they are so stupid they get distracted while in the open world and even more inside dungeons, conjuring Dremoras is far easier since they detect the enemy almost instantly.
Also trying to "upgrade" the Thralls can be quite a pain in the bum to do.
@@lSlendermasteryou can *technically* thrall the Ebony Warrior with Soul Tear but you need resto loop with fortify Conjuration.
I don't remember if Soul Tear is affected by the Conjuration effect.
