Yes! Perfect timing. I bought a Insta 360 x2 in december. Riding season is finally starting here in Germany and I am so ready to ride and start filming!
THANK YOU! I was ready to sell my camera because I was trying to figure out how to edit the videos and everything I found on Insta instructions was so fast I was frustrated.
Justin! Somehow you figured out how to explain this in a way nobody else on RUclips has. Thank you! Liked, commented, and subscribed. You answered so many questions I had.
New rider, new to recording it, and first time editing 360 videos. This tutorial is *exactly* what I've been looking for, a basic breakdown and walkthrough. Thank you for unblocking me!!
This actually is a needed type of video on the Insta360. Many of the RUclips videos on Insta360 do not talk about how the camera and the app "think". Yet, this is necessary when you want to know how to set up the "relationships" between the devices so that you can actually accomplish basic tasks. For example, most people don't talk about "USB Mode" in the settings. However, the four different options found there are important for accomplishing some of the basic tasks (like moving images to a computer - which is not as simple as moving to a mobile phone). You do gloss over some things (like the three upper right symbols on the "All" tab under "Album" at the bottom). So, as you point out, it can be confusing to know when the camera has actually downloaded a full version of the recording to the external device. (As you know, downloading or transferring a full version is not the same exporting a "worked" video.) Also, I really liked the comments on selecting aspect ratio BEFORE setting up keyframes. This is an important frustration to avoid. Last, in response to your request, I think editing on the computer is ultimately my preferred approach. However, during long travel trips I may edit on my phone as a matter of convenience for showing videos to fellow travelers.
Such a useful video - thanks! I took heaps of action footage in New Zealand over January but the files are sitting there waiting for my attention. Now I'm inspired to give it a crack. Cheers
Awesome tutorial my friend. Both are great options but i prefer the computer, big screen and easy to manage and keep track without struggle. thanks from PR
thank you verfy much for this video your the only one on here that really explane everything thanks i finally know how to edit my videos thank a million Adam's from montrel Canada
Perfect tutorial bruddha! I've been watching your vids ever since your R3 review. Dig it!!! How do you connect your selfie stick to your clamp on the bike? Does the bottom also screw in?
It is possible to edit and save as? And not lose the original clip.. so we can edit the clip differently one second time? Thanks in advance awesome video
Great tutorial! Concerning use of the quick reader, can you save the video files to external sd card inserted in phone? Can Insta360 mobile app read from external sd inserted in phone? Something tells me no, since the Insta360 mobile app cannot download to the external sd card in phone.
Great Video! A question I have is after adding keyframes and then exporting as a 360 video, nothing changes It's back to a 360 video? No change, exporting as a reframed works but now it's not a 360 video. Thank you for any help (insta360 x3)
Great video as always and just what I was looking for. At Christmas I got an insta360 and have used it a few times but not really done anything with the footage. I also have a gopro and with that I've been using resolve to edit. Now I want to use some footage from the insta360 and some from the gopro but am not sure what the best workflow solution is. How do you do it? Do you edit the 360 in insta360 studio export it then bring it into your preferred editing software, if so do you export it in prores or H264 or H265? Or, do you export all the footage into your editing software and use that to manipulate the 360 footage, again which export settings do you use? I'm just not sure which solution is best in terms of colour correction and time as in which is ultimately quicker. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you and keep up the good work!
So will the rest of the footage still be there? Like if I want to make 3 different short clips from a 14 minute video.. is all the footage gone after the first clip or how do I get it back/start over??
have squestion do you have a mac i am trying to edit a video i already worked on on my phone and when i transdfer oit to my desktop i dont see the + sign for my time line is that normal '
I find insta360 software to be pretty annoying, something as simple as split a clip is a PITA thankfully you can edit in DaVinci Resolve 🙏 selecting various sections of a 30m clip is almost impossible in the app or in Studio
Thanks for picking this channel back up 👊✊🏍️💨
Thanks for watching!

When the weather is bad enough, you somehow find yourself watching an Insta360 footage editiing tutorial, while not even owning an action cam.
