Finally a gun that’s not a micro compact . It’s great to have so many CCW choices but nothing beats the shoot ability of combat pistol
Nah I'm a full size pistol kinda guy, I can't stand compact or micro compact guns. I rotate my EDC between my Glock 17 Gen4 and my Beretta M9A3 G model.
This looks like every other beretta ever
Vertical shoulder holster. Get a good one that's comfortably.
Great that Beretta is making updated 92 models to stay in the game 👍
Taurus did it first, with the frame mounted safety. Never forget
@@ShaulDawg Didn’t forget, used to own a PT99 waaay back.
@@ShaulDawg”The original Beretta Model 92 also featured a 1911-style frame-mounted safety catch, which was soon discarded for a P38-like slide-mounted decocker/safety lever.”
“In 1974, a large contract for the Beretta 92 was issued by the Brazilian army, for which Beretta set up a factory in São Paulo, Brazil. This factory was later sold to the Brazilian gunmaker Taurus (Forjas Taurus S/A) in 1980, after the contract had expired. Shortly thereafter, Taurus closed down the factory and transferred the original Beretta machinery to its factory in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, using it to make its own pistol, which was a copy of the original Beretta 92 design, no longer being produced in Brazil. They did this without the need for a license and they also did not have to pay royalties, as the designs and patents had since expired.[1]”
Great that the 92 is still in the game.
You know it's quality. ALL of my 3 Beretta's....the 92FS, 92 Centurion, and my Vertec sound EXACTLY the same when you rack the slide. In my opinion, the Beretta 92's are in the top 5 handguns ever made.
RUclips has completely removed Sootch from my feed for the last 6 months. I gotta go to your channel everytime
I am subscribed and get him in my feed
Same. If you stop watching a topic, RUclips stops showing related subs. It's stupid.
Wow
Try unsubscribing and resubscribing maybe?

Beretta 92 the best 9mm pistol ever, made in Italy, land of my ancestors. Cheers from Brazil Sootch.
I always liked the Italians until I bought a Beretta. Now I love them ... berettas & Italians! Cheers from the US!
If you like shake rattle and roll. Can not stand the gun
Piasan!
You are not a true SEAL until you have tasted Italian steel.
P226 is 10X the tool that any Beretta is.
@@julesbower762 I go boxey ugly black and Glock
LONG LIVE THE 92!
I bought my very first handgun back in 1986 And it was a Beretta double action lonely. My dad was a cop, and he recommended that I get that for safety since I was a novice. Believe it or not it was one of my favorite guns.
Thanks Don, your reviews are In my top three On RUclips, very comprehensive and professional, have a safe weekend. 👍 🇮🇹 🇺🇸
Lethal Weapon was defo the gateway drug to the 92 😁
Die Hard
Die Hard too
@@user-fv9xp4do1v The 92 featured in LW is the exact same 92 that was in DH. Same prop gun.
Let us not forget about the MP5 as well.
Both franchise movies (Lethal Weapon & Die Hard) were the catalyst to the rising popularity of the Beretta 92 and H&K MP5.
I think Don Johnson also deserves some credit for pop culture's representation of the 1911. Especially during the _Nash Bridges_ era. Mr. Johnson also brought the 10mm to the masses with the Bren Ten back in the _Miami Vice_ days.
Fast forward to today's arsenal of _The Expendables_ and *now* we are talking!
Stay classy my friends.
You know, several years ago, I watched your video on the 92s. I bought one for$275. In excellent condition! I liked it so much I bought 2 more for the same price! I’ve been waiting for a better one to come out that “I can’t live without”! I think this one just might be it! Thank sootch!!!❤️😊
Italians just have a way with design. After all these years that thing just *looks right.*
They got the original design from the German Walther P-38
Love the 92.
Me too, the best 9mm pistol ever made.
I bet dark or cherry walnut grips would make this gun look awesome.
They do. 😁
They do, I have Wilson Combat Ultra Thin G10 grips in black cherry on my 92FS.
@@Macktheknife247 Are there after market grips available for the GTS yet? I haven't found any online. I don't think other 92 Vertec grips will fit the GTS because of the placement of the decocker.
I got mine from Svechnikov@@Philmoscowitz
I’ve had my 92FS for 30 years and I still carry it
Do you used your gun beretta during all these 30 years ? If no why do you carry a gun ?
It just keeps getting better and better!
Thank you very much!!! Love Beretta Forever!!!
Been waiting on you to do this one. Thx sootch 👍👍
This one is on my list for sure! Thanks for the review 👍
Important to state the gun doesn't have a safety. It is a decocker only. The decocker lever cannot function as a safety lock in any way, even though it looks that way.
really nice upgrade - thanks for illustrating the new features
The frame-mounted G-Type safety and Vertec Style Grip bring a whole new level of control and precision to the classic Model 92.
Why does a double action pistol need a safety?
i wish it could be carried cocked and on safe, and also decocked. My PT92 has a frame mounted safety which also decocks when pushed all the way down. all my pistols move up for safe down for fire
I have bought and sold many pistols since 1995 but I have kept my 3 Berettas. Looks like I found number 4. Thanks Sootch.
I was able to lay hands on one last week. Very, very nice option and seems to be reasonably priced for Beretta 92's.
Really just wanted to say i LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
Good to see you again, and as always great informative video.
Wish it had the barrel stick out because that's what made the 92 so iconic looking.
A lot of people don't like that. I have a M9A1 and bought a threaded barrel. Few years later I got my daughter a 92X. That one has the flush fit barrel. My daughter didn't want my spare longer barrel. Everyone that sees that 92X always points out that flush fit barrel as a big improvement. I'm with you though. I really like the protrusion and it looks good with the open slide. There is a movie called The Peacemaker. A guy presses that barrel tip into a hole of a bullet resistant windshield being degraded by AK fire and smokes a guy. I thought it was kind of cool to put it in a movie. Something different than that stupid take apart thing while still in the shooters hand. Personally I'd be glad they didn't just take it from me if they're that fast.
I have those same WC grips on mine - love em!
Gotta do some overtime at work and get me a Gran Turismo!
🙏
Great review and info on this weapon. I love it.💯💯💯💯
Best gun review videos on YT...👍👍
I worked as backup employee at a gun counter in a home/ranch store; l always liked the feel of the berettas more than any other pistol.
I have the old 92f, going on about 40+ years, I still run it, and carry it 6, 7, times a month, it was my service weapon for 22 years
Thanks for the great review. Looks like another one to add to the "gotta get one" list.
I just want to praise you at 0:47 for showing the sight radius pov. It looks sick.
the Beretta 92GTS looks like a beast! Love the new features like the Frame mounted G-Type safety and Vertec Style Grip.
My first impression of the 92 was on Terminator Two. This one's definitely on my Christmas list.
Just bought a 92x but I think I’ll pick one of these up as well. Really like how smooth these Berettas are. Great video.
Thank you for sharing this video ❤Amazing pistol 👍
Awesome video nice Beretta 92 gts thanks for sharing sootch00
Congratulations on the excellent videos of relevant importance
And they're also cool!
The launch edition GTS model is working out pretty good. Lots of potential.
I'm still happy with my Langdon LTT Beretta G . I think it's the best version cause of its trigger modification and NP3 coating.
I agree ever since Lethal Weapon I love this Gun and finally got one 37 years later lol....You're awesome Sootch
Beretta is a work of art.
Thank You sir 👍🇺🇸
Super, super nice. Top shelf. Many thanks.
Looks like there's a new pistol in my future. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting.
Awesome video. Thank you
The first pistol my dad put in my hands to train was a used Taurus 92, so I've always had a fondness for the 92s be they Beretta or Taurus.
I do think the Safety/Decocker on Taurus is better designed. Push up for a safe and push all the way down to decock the pistol.
However, seeing more Beretta's come out with frame mounted controls and not having them stuck up on the slide is making me consider adding one to the collection.
Love Beretta!
Haven’t shot my GTS yet.
Le Beretta sono forse le pistole più belle del mondo...non me ne vogliate....
Grazie!!! Bellissima prova!!!😊
Just picked my 92GTS up on Friday. Haven't got to shoot it yet!
I carried the M9 (92) many years ago in the military. Such a great pistol. I've been trying to find one of the same type without all of the bells and whistles for a decent price.
Yes.
Looks Terrific. I Need One.
Danm ! Looks like this is the handgun the U.S. ARMY was looking for !!!
Wow nice... I've got the 92SB with the round trigger guard. Excellent pistol. Just waiting for the GTS compact 😁
one month after I bought my Taurus PT92 for the frame mounted decocker, Beretta had to drop this beautiful gun
Beautiful Gun
Let’s make it simple. It’s a Beretta…..500 Years of Perfection!! Period. 💪🏼❤️🙌🏼👍🏼🇮🇹🇺🇸👏
Cool thanks fot this Video. Beretta sends out one gun after another 😋.
I got the 92X Performance Production RDO. A really great gun, fun to shoot, less recoil, super smooth, great curves on that pistol. I love that 92 design since i saw it first time.
Greetings from Austria 🤝.
92X here too, great pistol!
Looks classy
This is the perfect b92; frame mounted decocker-only.
Beretta is perfect with slide mounted safety
So now, if they made an M9a4 with the manual safety on the grip....that'd be great
Finally a new pistol that doesn't look like it's made from Leggo bricks.
New?
Magnificent. Thank-You, Sir. Will have to trade and save, but that’s the pistol I want to get. Fair winds, and following seas to you and yours…
I like the safety and sights better on the original, but the barrel crown and rail are a nice touch.😊
I like the fiber optic sights, higher magazine capacity, and the thinner grip. I wouldn't use the rail or optic mount although they are nice additions. I'll be sticking to my classic FS. Very nice pistol though!
AMAZING REVIEW!!. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these beautiful tools.
Oh man now I have to get another one
Thay looks pretty badass. I have a m9a1 with the g conversion on it. I dont recommend the FS unless youre going to carry it on safe or its not going to be used for anything serious. I bet beretta sells bunch of these. Seems like the 92 everyone has been asking for. Unless you jist cant handle the open top slide there isnt any complaint beretta hasnt addressed lately. Thin grips, vertec cut, pic rail, and now frame levers. Im good with te original 92 types but id like to see more people enjoy the beretta 92 gun. For anyone wanting to suppress a 9mm pistol the beretta 92 is the way to go.
good video again
it's Beretta time
Resident evil is what got me into them
Awesome review again! 92GTS or a PX4? I’ve had my heart set on the GTS for a while now but lately a lot of reviews of the PX four have popped up and so many like that one as well! Lol.
Great review and great firearm. 18 rds of firepower.
Thanks. Shared.
The FS and the X Perfornace had a baby! :)
Ive got Beretta Cougar 357 sig I love . There's another Italian pistol i own not to many people are aware of and that's a Tanfoglia. I have a tanfoglia in 45 acp soft nickle 1911 frame. It's just as accurate as my 1911 9 m pistols.
As a Beretta gun owner and fan this is an impressive firearm. Thanks for the review. I have a question regarding the magazines. Can the current factory 92 FS mags work in the GTS?
I was wondering the same 🔫
My first thought about the name Beretta GTS was "Gran Turismo Superleggera". Although I doubt the 92GTS is "superlight" pistol.
The Beretta Model 92's is one pistol that's always eluded me, but I have all intentions of getting one someday. Some 1911 has always surfaced and that's where my money ended up:) A friend of mine recently bought the "INOX" version sweet looking pistol, satin stainless steel finish.
As a side note I had the Taurus PT92 and I could not shoot it accurately due to the heavy trigger. The 92s are beautiful but not for small hands.
Hey Sootch. Great review man. Been looking for this gun but can only find the 15 rnd version. Where did you get that 18 rounder or was that just an aftermarket 18 rnd magazine.
I’m not particularly a fan of the 92 but if you ever get to shoot one, they’re one of the flattest shooting guns I’ve ever fired.
I've always had a special place in my heart for the M-9, but now that I know better, it's just a cool old pistol with all the functionality of a Model A Ford compared to a modern performance car. No comparison but in its day, it was considered a very combat worthy pistol.
The 92X and G decocker with the Xtreme S trigger is a whole different animal. It fixes the 1989s milspec M9's problems.
I have owned several 92 variants. Recently I bought a 92 A4. It maintains the decocker on the slide but is is a G variant so it is decock only. I prefer the lever on the slide as it is not something I will inadvertantly swipe with my thumb. That is not a poblem I have had with many pistols but I tend to prefer systems I am used to. On the 92 what I am used to is a slide mounted lever.
I love it
Greetings Sir. Excellent for the class. From Brazil. Military Veteran. Special Forces. And Police. Mechanical technician. Armorer gunsmith. Lawyer with 9 Postgraduate degrees.
Hey Don, if you (or anyone reading this) has any pull with Beretta, can you tell them to PLEASE make a Centurion version of this...
Been enjoying watching your videos for years!
Hello there,
Can you please share when you expect to post the extended review of the Caracal Quick Sight 9mm?
Thanks
I need one so badly
I used to carry an M9, it was all kinds of beat up and neglected but it still worked. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but this 92 GTS is funny looking. It's like an M9 trying to be a 1911.
I'm getting one
very good
My unpopular opinion on the 92 is that the old-style (M9A1 profile) frame had a better grip with it having its own grip profile and not replicating the 1911. I feel like the M9A1 profile fills my hand up a lot better, and it feels like an extension of my arm more so than anything else. Although, thankfully the Vertec frame guns come with a grip-insert module that brings it back to that M9A1 profile I love, so good on Beretta.
I also prefer the filled out grip. I got a M9A1 and that grip is big improvement over the original 92FS. I got thin G10 grips, Wilson short reach trigger. That radiused tang along with those two have made rhe guns lot more ahootable than my earlier 92"s. I dealt with it for years because I liked the 92 so much. But I got bitch hands with short fingers. That M9A1 Checkering is a lot nicer than the vertical grooving. Beretta has pretty much fixed every complaint people had of the design. So pretty much if you can't handle the open top slide would be the only reason to not get one.
The single best upgrade imo is that added grip length
Definately a fan of 92F and Colt 1911
Really good looking 92. Appears to have all the latest upgrades. Not liking that the decocker is an up sweep.
very nice.
Safety is back where is was on the original '76 model 92(no suffix)
I have an Old M-9 and a few other Beretta's which would make it confusing for me to get used to the frame safety. The new grip panels are like sandpaper.... first thing I would change is the grips. You didn't mention if the gun comes with the hump grips Sootch?
