Honestly I think the 18 Betas have been great and although subtle I really like the changes with the icons. RCS has been great and I'm glad Apple made the decision to support this rather than fight against it in court.
@@FireFoxDestroyer I feel that Apple should of stood the ground but It would of ended the sale in EU countries. I reckon they should of went to USB C sooner as they are on the USB committee and had a lot to do with Thunderbolt.
@@danielson1989 they wouldve went with usb-c for the iphone 5 if it was ready at the time. come to think of it, they would've probably made usb-c proprietary if it was on the 5.

Had an issue in 18 Beta 3 when trying to send location via text. I'd tap the +, select Send Location and the messaging app would freeze then close after about 10 seconds. I'm not seeing that problem after updating to 18 Beta 4
I’ve had to turn off Apple Relay. Even though it says on Apple’s status site it’s fixed, it doesn’t work. One moment it says it is available, the next not.
I’m on iOS 18 Beta 4 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, battery life definitely doesn’t flatline as quick as it used to and I usually have an average of 2-3 more hrs of operation while on the latest Beta. The one larger issue I do have is an inability to paste text into some apps that I ised to be able to. Now whether this is an iOS issue or an app-specific issue… I’m not sure, but it wasn’t a problem I noticed in the 1st few Betas or even iOS 17.
I’ve noticed after updating to IOS 18 Beta 1 my transitions when exiting an application and other animations aren’t working anymore. This is in conjunction with an issue with not changing from “day” to “night” at the set time. I have to manually change in the control center. So far the rest is pretty smooth!
Still unable to install iOS 18 beta 4… haven’t been able to load the new betas since iOS 18 beta 2. Not sure how to remedy this and am concerned I will be stuck in beta 2 for quite awhile. Thanks for your videos Aaron!

Photos for me are still crashing, even after this recent update last night. When I take a pic and then immediately open it while in the camera app, the photo still freezes and is blurry. If I go out of the camera app and then open the same photo from the photos app, it's fine.
hey arron, i need your help since nobody talked about this one. I've been trying to restore the ios from 18 to 17.5.1 it just keeps getting 2009 error on itunes and whatever i do it doesnt fix it. i turned my anivirus off. i changed my usb ports and ive been using the original usb cable. i tried on another pc (laptop) and still it doesn't work. i also tried 3rd party apps like 3utools or other stuff but it keeps getting the same error and issue. really what should i do??? i dont have any mac user person so i dont have access to mac. HELLLP
I understand why he releases multiple videos per week, considering he earns between $400-$2000 per video. However, I'm concerned that this approach leads to burnout for me as a viewer. I enjoy his content, but I wish he would prioritize larger, more comprehensive updates over smaller, more frequent ones. This would make it easier for me to decide which videos to watch and which to skip, just by looking at the title.
@albertsitoe7340 if an update comes out I make a video. It’s for my audience and consistency. Been covering iOS like this for many years. Others don’t cover all the updates because they aren’t about the audience, but just views and money. That is why your see others copy this style video, release them at the same time, but k ok not my videos that do well.
My only gripe is no categories to skip to this video 😭😭. Outside of that, keep doing what you’re doing! Love the content! You make great videos with fantastic user friendly clarity.
sometimes when I schedule a video and it goes live the chapters don't show properly for some reason. So I have to go back in, change something and then update it. Not sure why, but it seems to work.
Im on beta 4 and my cell service is with EE NOT Orange has reportee in this video. My signal keeps dropping and coming back on to edge . It then finds the 5g signal and then drops out again . Also with voice mail I get the Siri assistant to leave a message to , but when it’s connected to car play , it plays my standard message .
Is it just me or did the Notification Center grouping change or get updated in this last beta update? 🤔 On the emoji keyboard the recently used ones are still not there. iPhone 15 Pro. So far battery life IS better than last weeks update. Even with only 24/30 hours of usage on this beta so far I can see the difference.
Fun fact, the Apple intelligence bug/Easter egg also works on unsupported devices. I tried it on mine and on some occasions the Easter egg text stayed up indefinitely until I closed out.
@@Khamae77 how is it masking it? it's giving you all the data and if you dont like that format you can switch to day by day graph, how insecure you need to be about the phone you are using that you need to bring this up lol
The beta has been great for me except for the volume bug. It’s driving me up the wall!! It’s forcing me to use my air pods at all times just to be able to watch anything or hear music. Other than that, I’m happy with the iOS 18 beta download 😊
I actually kinda preferred the bugged version of the automatic Home Screen. I liked the dark apps, but I also like the non-dimmed wallpaper. The bugged version for me was perfect because the apps were dark but the wallpaper was light!
Had Private Relay issues on Mac, turned off and working fine. iPhone has been fine, except in Safari, and turning off Private Relay has fixed. Weird as it’s only in that app. Who knows?
I live in the Midwest and private relay has been down for my iPhone 15 Pro Max for 3 days. It's still down as of this morning. I get a notification every morning telling me it's not available today

I still have issues with mail app (3rd party, using imap and smtp) but at least it does not drain the battery all the time by working in the background. As for the Apple Maps I wish for the live, gps-based, current vehicle speed indicator like on Google Maps. Thank you for your work Aaron! :)
This actually happened on beta three as well where they released the beta 3.5 release. I think there was enough issue in beta four to justify this and I’m very happy they did especially for the screen auto brightness bug. What a pain.

The iOS 18 beta 4 before the re-release was crashing and turning off the phone for no particular reason every once in a while, I would hold off.
Never install betas on the devices you rely for work. Might be fine for everyone around you, but that one feature you need for work will not work.

Rebooting usually fixes any install issue. Otherwise you can use a computer to install as well

I’ve experienced private relay issues on my Mac and had to turn it off, but not on my iOS devices
I had a problem with the screen brightness, every time I locked the screen, the brightness went to zero, I had to adjust it every time.
I’m on iOS 18 public beta. My alarm will not sound off at all. I’ve tried everything to fix this. So far this is the only problem I’ve observed.
15 Pro Max updated the beta 4 on Friday. Still no show of Apple Intelligence and Siri, not even a quick flash, and I have closed out and went back in.
I have iOS 18 Public Beta 1 on my 15 Pro and the battery life is absolutely terrible when on a FaceTime call. I’ll get 1.5-2 hours on a full charge
The brightness goes dim all the time when you Lock Screen and the options for recently delete is gone

This is a raw photo bug since iOS 18 DB1, I don't know why Apple is still not fixing this.

I love iOS 18 it’s my most favorite iOS version ever but iOS 18 beta 4.5 I got 5 hours of screen on time and still had 42% on my iPhone 15!

I’m a Canadian Beta tester, and i can confirm that both Bell and Telus also have RCS support working

Deleting widgets I had installed has saved battery life on my iPhone especially.
I can confirm, yesterday and the day before I had problems with the Relay on both my iPhone and Mac so I had to disable it. I'm located in Europe.
