People who keep these old trains alive are doing a great service.
"Limmat" and the train of coaches which run with it are not that old - they're replicas built in 1947. "Genf" however is much older.
People who play Transport Fever: *The Expert.*
LOL
Starting a New game in 1850 be like
Looking for the train fever comment
Can we take a moment to marvel at how _phenomenally good_ the picture quality is for 2010?
Very true!
@@Anbregour ;-)
I spent months travelling on trains in Europe and it always gave me the shivers when ticket inspectors entered the carriage, even though i had a valid ticket. It reminded me of the Gestapo officers in the movies.
Hi class presentation - congrats. to all. Remarkable footage of these superbe old machines, backed by well-played (and to my mind) tasteful music. THANK YOU
Lovely locos, train and filming. The music is perfect, is it by Shostakovich?
yes it is, my imperfect english translation would be - the last good bye walz - yandex.ru/video/preview?filmId=10275284338215241485&text=shostakovich%20waltz%202&noreask=1&path=wizard&parent-reqid=1572096683038313-214148034756397098300106-vla1-3759&redircnt=1572096688.1
Wunderbarer profihafter Film.
Sehr detailreich und prima Szenenauswahl.
I actually like the music in the vid!
The music reminds me of 'Midsummer Murders'.
Well, the Theremin is missing
As close to the nineteenth century as possible! 👍 ♥ ️
Beautiful very beautiful. I ever seen.
einfach ein wunderbares video!
Why do these people look so grumpy and uninspired. These have to be the most amazing locomotives ever.
The wood cladding on the locomotive is insulation...of sorts (for those who don't know).
Thank you Steve - I made the film 7 years ago, but was not aware.
@@mageefilms I think they would also add felt material underneath the wood, as well. That's 19th Century insulation for ya. :-o
Thanks you, Videos very nice,
Magical
warum haben sie die genf auch angekoppelt?
Very nice, like.
Bellissimo filmato e bel treno!!!
It's funny, but "Spanisch Brötli" is what we know as "Swiss cakes" in Spain...
And bahn is the German word for train.
@@horseandcart5978I know.
I'm referring to the passengers.
Mmm the sound of POLLUTION
I know I'm late but whay is the EXACT song played in this video? Bc there's many Shostakovich songs
Good film, but unwatchable because of the unnecessary and annoying music.
Vśakogo interesovati lokomotivy bezčasnosti medžu 40-50 godami 19. stolěća.
Transport Fever in real life
Good video Less music MORE natural steam loco sound please!! Good too see it out and about not STUCK in some STUPID museum NEVER allowed out!!
UK yes i mean YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why are excellent videos spoilt by rubbish music?
KILL THE MUSIC !!!!!!

3.28 - 30. Nein! Verboten! You should never do this!
Ehm.. that's the standard way to couple rail vehicles.
@@Quasihamster Not when the locomotive is still moving backwards. Wait until it stops. Could get crushed.
@@missasinenomine You're wrong. It's called "Berner Raum". Trains are designed to have space that remains clear for someone to stand in for coupling and such. You're right that you can get crushed if you're doing it wrong though of course.
@@Quasihamster OK, ok. I concede. But I once met a railway worker who knew someone who had been cut in half while decoupling goods wagons. He tripped & fell backwards, his legs astride the rail. I'll let you imagine what happened next. Moral: wait until the train stops. BUT............as he then told me, if you wait for a long goods train of heavy trucks to stop, you could be waiting for hours. So you are forced to take the risk & do it while its moving. Tough if you trip. This was in my mind when I made my comment.
@@missasinenomine Railroader is a dangerous job, no doubt about that.
I must admit that these old locomotives have special appearance, and they also startup quiet quickly.
And not too bad.👍🏼
Yeah they have some unique designs!
It's a bit of a shame that "Lion" is stuffed and mounted; she'd look great next to them both.
It's Shostakovich, performed by Trio Festivo, Switzerland.
Marvelous on all counts, amazingly well presented locomotives and rolling stock.Crew look like they all having a blast, seems railwayman are the same the world over.Very glad i clicked after the thumbnail caught my eye.
Sehr schöner Film, super proffessionell! Und was für eine schöne Bahn!
Precise and beautifully filmed, great music. makes very excited about a trip with the famous train. I look forward to the film
wonderful video but stupid and pointless music!
Where is this Railroad at? Im putting it on my list.
Beautiful!
😆Amazing locos, I don’t recall ever seeing them before.
A special railroad, just to deliver Spanish buns? That's Swiss efficiency for you. 😉
Super machines.. I love them very much.. I wish they had not disappeared. Unfortunately, there are none left in Turkey. Greetings and love from Izmir to locomotive lovers.
Jeden problem proszę zwrócić uwagę na warunki pracy obsługi parowozu zima deszcz i podobne atrakcje a gdzie jakiś dach i osłona z boku

Lindas !!!...(Brasil)...👍...👏👏👏...👋👋👋...
Super schönes Video!
what is that song playing during the majority of the movie? It's the one I've been looking for for a very long time :o
Shostakovich's Waltz No 2
Die Gesichter der Lokpersonale ... sehr sehr eindrucksvoll!
Are these Spanish engines in Switzerland? I don't understand the lingo.
I like the locomotive that looks like a big tank engine.
Send this video to Märklin. LGB needs to make more models.
I like the look of very early locomotives.
Well, of course they'd look rugged and very mechanical...
Never could understand way some trains never had a cab to protect driver from elements!? I don't care how old train is, they most likely worked all year making company money
Oh, don't you know? There was no rain or snow in the 19th century.😅😂
Itu kan kereta api uap jaman dulu
Klasse Video!
Nice.
mooi gefilmd
magic
looks a bit like the original john bull not the replica one with the doghouse style tender.
:)
Didix
None. The sound of the steam locomotives is all that is needed.
Thank you Keith. Some people like the music, some not. Should have done both ways. Maybe next time.
Grandios!
The second song is Shostakovich Waltz No 2.
The first, I dunno...
Well Maintained classic part of historical steam nostalgia deserves to be a UN heritage site
Herzig! D Schwiizer! D Limmat und d Genf. Lauft das immer no?

Wunderschön. Am 7.

I still wonder if it is the train or the bread that is spanish?
The bread ist spanish Style. There was a King or Something Like that in Zürich. He Loved the bread baken in Baden. In this time railway was nee and He liked this kind of bread fresh. So He decided to build a railway from Zürich to Baden because it is faster than by horses. The Swiss First railway was " Born".
@@danielpfeiffer6698 wonderful.I like people like that. So it could also have been called The french fried express if he had liked that.
@@andersliljevall2946 yes, that's right

Happy noveberfest
Wonderul! But, Oh why the ghastly music? Utterly ruined.
Thank you for the comment. What music would you prefer, if any?
That's right.
Why spanish?

Wonderful! I have to travel on it one day...
The tender has four wheels.

Good video but i would not to have the music please.
