A car that doesn't cary the price tag of an Aventador. A car that is live able day to day unlike a GTR. A car that is luxurious, But will murder 458's and Gallardos A car that is reasonably priced compared to other super competitors. That car Is the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
Angry Whale Aventador 2.7 s | Huracan 3.1 s | Gallardo 3.2 s 458 3.3 s and 3.5 for the spyder (a cabrio is never faster than a coupe) Seen it all on a race track.
Doppelkupplung You must have gotten the wrong message. "Sitting in my garage"= part of my small collection. I love these cars too much just to let it sit. If you want to talk to someone who is too afraid to drive a 100k+ car talk to my uncle who has only 5k miles (probably less than that) on his 1997 911 turbo.
The new 911s are amazing! I've driven the 2014 911 Carrera 4s, and it was by far the best car I've ever driven. The suspension's slightly too firm, but it's a Porsche, so you can't expect anything else. It's a good daily driver too, because it has all you can want- a sat nav, good music, comfortable seats, etc.
I've watched this guy do on various cars for quite some time now... I think he does a fairly decent job. he never tries to be too cute or too funny and his videos are very well edited.
Gunther Mathis he is boring tho, he talk to much, and lose time about features thats cars have from about 50 years...no need to talk about those things like a broken robot...repetitive.
IMO Porsche makes the best sport cars ever. Anything else is just a very expensive Toy. A Porsche On the other hand is a REAL usable sport car that I can use it as my only car and as my daily driver no problem. That's why I love it. It's the best thing ever
I agree with this completely. I daily-drive a Boxster and I must say, aside from the low ride height, everything else is very practical. I get two trunks while there is none on other sports cars.
I can't even tell you how much I love your reviews. Your knowledgeable, thorough, and perfectly nuanced presentation is unmatched by any others. Keep up the excellent work!
My friend came by on Easter, he just bought the 911 Turbo S in red and it is one gorgeous car. We went for a ride and due to traffic we were only able to get up to 100MPH and that was in a very short distance, very short. We did it in Sport Plus mode and what a rush...this is one beautiful piece of art....Way to go Porsche....
This is the best, most informative review of the 991.1 Turbo/S as of yet. Thank you, great job. I had a 2011 997 and now a 2016 991 Turbo S. Your review is spot on. As far as the exhaust note, I installed the Sharkwerks Xpipe and it now sounds like it should've stock. I also got a few extra ponies to play with. Cheers!
I used to love the 911 Turbo, especially the S models. However as of recent, I find myself lusting after the GT3 more than the Turbo S in the 991 guise, probably because the 991 GT3 has simply made the car so much more everyday livable with PDK & standard air-conditioning etc. Plus, the car revs up to 9000rpm & naturally aspirated goodness. Kyle, are you going to review a 991 GT3? I know it's very similar to this car & the 991 Carrera S you reviewed a while back, but I believe the GT3 race-bred details allows extra attention to it. Plus, the engine note of that super-high rev flat 6 is just heavenly.
Your videos are great. Google is for finding out something fast, Wikipedia is for looking up more detailed facts and saabkyle04 is all you need to know about the cars you love.
***** Ayung haseo. True, they are expensive, and intended for the upper middle classes. Like Rolexes, 911's are aspirational: they give people something to aspire to. So, study hard, work hard, and earn a 911.
For those complaining about the exhaust note, maybe that's one of the reason Porsche keeps kicking everybody's ass. They focus on creating velvet smooth engines, not ‘auto-tuning’ their exhaust
Just drove one today and I noticed that this car has a lot more drag than the 911's prior to it. Maybe the turbo's are different but you almost don't even need to touch the break pedal when coming to a stop... Still is just a beautiful car.
Your grandma can launch control a 911 turbo 100 times in one day easily hitting 0-60 in 2.6 and it will never damage the transmission. Launch control a gtr more than 2 times and you will blow up the transmission. Nissan won't warranty it if you use launch control, Porsche will. Something they don't tell you at the dealership. I'm sorry but even in today's time you really do get what you pay for.
Few sidenotes Kyle! You forgot to mention the keyless entry system this particular car is equipped with, Turbo S comes standard with PDCC or Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, not PASM. And instead of bi-xenon this car has got the LED-headlamps! Not trying to be a smartass but i happened to notice it :). Keep up the great videos!
i actually like the noise this car makes , it's very distinctive not like normal turbos , theres guy who owns one nearby and you can always tell its him driving past , because it sounds like a fighter jet flying over.
I never understood the whole 2 years and 7k miles bit until u owned several cars at the same time, contrary to popular belief when you have money you still have to work! Sometimes I notice almost a month has gone by since I drove one of my cars. I have a family and just don't get around to them all, that makes it more fun when you do get time though.
Nice review Gomer. The Turbo S in this review DOES NOT have the Sport Exhaust. The reviewer is incorrect. If the center console does not include the actual Sport Exhaust button, the car does not have Sport Exhaust. The Sport Plus mode will not engage Sport Exhaust because it is not installed on this example of the Turbo S. On a Turbo S with the Sport Exhaust, the Sport Exhaust button will light up when placing the car into Sport Plus mode, just like the POCC button did. Same for all Porsches with Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust. The difference in sound you hear is the engine changing modes, not the exhaust. If that car did have Sport Exhaust installed, there would be a very noticeable difference when the bypass valves are activated.
Porsche is like "I don't need those funky ostentatious body lines, I don't need alcantaro-carbon-best possible material interior, I don't need super massive exhaust, I don't need to look like a freaking aircraft, but....if you try to race me...boy.... you are gonna be smaked so hard!" LOVE IT
You said @ 3:55 that the turning circle is measured in Cubic Feet (or equivalent in metric system) . the turning circle is simply a 1 dimensional unit of measurement , so it's just Feet (the radius of a circle is 2 x Pi x R , resulting some number ) . the surface is bi-dimensional and the volume is tree-dimensional .
I noticed that this model has the button style shifters in comparison with the paddle style shifters on the euro model. Is this an option or it comes standard on us models?
Thank you Kyle for the detailed information provided, which is much appreciated. Of particular interest is the opportunity to see the layout of the instruments and understand the functions of the various controls.
Hey everyone, how's it going. For TODAY's video, let's take an up close and personal in-depth look, at the 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S. So THIS is going to be a detailed in depth review of the Turbo S, We'll start it up show the engine, Get an exhaust clip and go over the performance data, as well show you bunch of the unique aspects about the interior as well as exterior.
does the chrono keep track of your multiple laps? Always thought it looked kinda silly, but nice to see it in action. Love your reviews, your details are second to none,
the fact that people only complain about porsche removing the manual transmission speaks volumes for the superiority they've held over every other manufacturer.
This car is extremely handsome. If I ever have the chance to purchase one this is the spec I would get. There's a used one at my local dealership in the same spec.
hi guys, i need to ask a question. what would be the best car choice to get with 180k-200k $? i have already driven a porsche turbo s, a nissan GTR, G63 AMG, and a C63 amg coupe. right now i own range rover sport supercharged 2011, and i was thinking of buying a sport coupe because i already have an SUV. any suggestions on what i should pick?
My own personal choice would definitely be the Porsche but Porsche has always been my favorite car, really it depends on what you like most. You should look at many different brands and models and decide what your personal tastes like! Good luck with your decision, and with that budget it'll probably be a difficult one!! Haha! But you'll sure be happy!😄
Also, the 3rd Gen Honda Prelude(87 or 88-91) Prelude had a similar rear wheel turning technology called 4WS, which turned the wheels the opposite way of the front wheels. It would be really cool if you could review one of those! :)
the only bad thing about this car is this shifter type, I used a few times this kind of PDK which has the two buttons for upshift and the two (on the back of the steering wheel) to downshift.. its just not fit for me. I had to use it with right finger upshift, left hand downshift.. The more convenient two paddle shifter method seems better for me.. :) Nice review kyle!
Yes, you can get the sport steering wheel as an option with real paddle shifters. I really don't know why Porsche is trying to hold on to this whole button paddle thing, it's a horrible system.
although i drover a GT3, Cayman and a Panemera i still don't like the prosche in the style but as a performance and mechanics, handeling etc you cant beat that!

Angry Whale Aventador 2.7 s | Huracan 3.1 s | Gallardo 3.2 s 458 3.3 s and 3.5 for the spyder (a cabrio is never faster than a coupe)

I will own one of these one day. It may be 20 or so years down the road but I will have one sitting in my garage.
and then people will sneer at you and call you a rich snob. Because that's just how people are. Luls
***** I know, it's sad. Can't people just appreciate that you succeeded in life? But we all do it. Lol
Don't buy one if you're going to have it sit in your garage. Just keep buying Civics if you're too afraid to drive a 100,000+ car.

One of my dream cars.

Such a great, powerful & beautiful car. A true piece of mechanical art!
My dad has this car. I've driven it several times. Fastest car I've ever driven. My record with the chrono timer was 2.64 seconds :)

How is it possible for someone to make this car boring? No! Seriously, I'm asking how you are so good at doing that!
This is probably one of the best cars on the market Right now
MUCH nicer than the 2000 911 I bought a few years ago.
Maybe one day...

This is without doubt the best car in the world.
Waited so long for this review. Thanks Kyle.
P.s. I'm also waiting for the 991 GT3 :)
Those vehicles have so much electronics that I really wonder how hard it will be to fix them in 10-15 years time.
Exactly why im sticking audi and Nissan they stick with the same parts for years 😂
BornToBeFamed those are the same two companies I stick with

I think you meant the original Turbo's "oversteer" tendency. They were notorious for snap oversteer when lifting throttle mid-corner.
Nice review Gomer.

Every man's dream introduction to sports cars# Porsche 911
My favourite cars are Porsche 911 or Cayman S or GTS. They are simply glorious.
I knew there was a back cargo but I never really thought about the rear window not opening, would suck to put a big heavy bag in the very back.
There's one with the same exterior a couple of blocks away from where i live, such a beast!
It's actually not "BurmEIster" but "BurmEster". Its the last name of the founder from this HIFI company.
For more infos see: www.burmester.de/en/home/
HangHe2key Thank you for pointing that out, I will correct it in future videos!

So what, the guy has an accent! Stop being so critical. The review of this car is what you should be concerned about. Focus on that!
Given Saabkyle's personality, I'm sure he'd want to know if he were mispronouncing something.
+HangHe2key It's actually pronounced "OverPricedOption".
The next Saabkyle04 challenge, after the veyron vid finally happened: Aston 0ne-77, Maclaren P1, Ferrari La Ferrari or Porsche 918 Spider.
Thank you Kyle for the detailed information provided, which is much appreciated.

One of my dream cars!!!!!! Preferably in red, yellow.... With beige interior
As usual Kyle, love your reviews! Love the Turbo S!
You do a good job making these videos. What kind of cars do you own?
I'm gunna show you the intiwior and extewior today.

noskis123 For the luxury and sporty feel.
Better than the Hairdryer GTR.
thanks for this i've been waiting ages for this
Saab Kyle it's like I opened a Pokedex on this car! Best video of yours I've seen, 911s have surprisingly modest interiors, but still one epic car.
Theres one of these in the town of my school and my goodness its gorgeous in person.

Hey Kyle if you can ever get a chance can you do a review of the brand new 991 GT3. Also if its possible can you maybe take it on a test drive
Finally thanks yow...been waiting to see u do this car!!!!!
Excellent review! Just saw one of these on the freeway today during my commute in the same color :)

Probably the best sports car ever. Can be daily driven, 0-100 KM/h time beats all exotics and... Its a porsche!!
Excellent review. This is the sports car I am aspiring to own one day.
hi guys, i need to ask a question. what would be the best car choice to get with 180k-200k $? i have already driven a porsche turbo s, a nissan GTR, G63 AMG, and a C63 amg coupe. right now i own range rover sport supercharged 2011, and i was thinking of buying a sport coupe because i already have an SUV. any suggestions on what i should pick?

Kyle, I'm looking for a new sports car, would u recommend this?
is it possible to make a review of the porsche 918 spyder+ weissach
why didn't you review the infiniti q50 yet?? You should try to do that next
Question!! Where do you get all your information? Very accurate and detailed good job buddy!
Man, this is the car! Great Review!
Is power folding mirrors available as a option in the turbo s?
Watched every minute. What a machine.
Finally buying mine tomorrow!
Is it a good idea to rev an engine to redline when it only has 46 miles on it?
I haven't seen paddle shifters like that. It looks like they are on the steering wheel instead of the column and you push them instead of pulling them
Also, the 3rd Gen Honda Prelude(87 or 88-91) Prelude had a similar rear wheel turning technology called 4WS, which turned the wheels the opposite way of the front wheels. It would be really cool if you could review one of those! :)
I've been waiting for this
the only bad thing about this car is this shifter type, I used a few times this kind of PDK which has the two buttons for upshift and the two (on the back of the steering wheel) to downshift.. its just not fit for me. I had to use it with right finger upshift, left hand downshift..
The more convenient two paddle shifter method seems better for me.. :)
Nice review kyle!
Can you access the part behind the rear seats by opening the rear window? Like a hatch back?
no
Here I am watching a 911 Turbo video and end up saying "Damn that raptor though XD" This porsche is beautiful. Would to own one someday
One can only hope and dream. This thing eats aventadors for breakfast and is still hungry afterwards
Can you do a review of the 2015 C300 and GLA? Thanks!
Do the revving in NEUTRAL not P mode. Sounds are different. Is case on my AUDI.
I'd imagine you could get traditional paddle shifters with some sort of performance package, right?
Yes, you can get the sport steering wheel as an option with real paddle shifters. I really don't know why Porsche is trying to hold on to this whole button paddle thing, it's a horrible system.
I agree. The real paddle shifters should be standard at this price
inside the car, pure freedom
Can you Review the all new Porsche cayenne 2015?
And forgot to mention can u do the 997.2 GT3. 997.2 stands for Gen 2
although i drover a GT3, Cayman and a Panemera i still don't like the prosche in the style but as a performance and mechanics, handeling etc you cant beat that!
***** I know you've already done one years before, but could possibly do an updated video on a 2nd Gen Mazda MX-6???? Btw love ur videos.
so the pdk can operate like a cvt transmission?
I love porsche 911's. But can anyone explain to me why exactly this car is over 100k more than the base 911?
Saabkyle can you pretty please do a review-test drive on a 2004-2009 saab 9-3 i beg of you
