Porsche is the Only car maker who has the talent to create a perfect super car and fit it into a daily use one! you want to go to work in a Porsche?? take a 911 turbo... you want to go for a race??? take a 911 turbo... you want to go to a nice reception where everyone has to come well dressed/nice looking??? take a 911 turbo... you want to show off??? tak a 911 turbo... it's not a mclaren/la ferrari/lambo, which is an "event" car, Porsche makes cars for every single day enjoyment! your money is well spent!

@@russellcoight1718 Ferrari’s and Lambo’s are more show-off cars that aim to stand out. Generally speaking, most people who buy Ferrari/Lambo are buying it to show off rather than buying it for it’s engineering / driving capability. Plus any idiot with money can buy a Ferrari/lambo without even knowing which model it is. Whereas someone who buys a Turbo / Turbo S knows what they’re getting and appreciates the performance & refinement

Still , Chris' videos are the only ones with the new crew that still get more likes than dislikes , and that just says how apreciated is the guy amongst propper car guys.

There may also be dislikes for how Chris Harris used to have a biting critical edge to his reviews, which was blunted when he got back into bed with Ferrari and has been made worse by the BBC's censorship

I really wish people would separate the show from the reviewer... Chris Harris is one of the best automotive journalists out there. I know... his videos consistently have more likes than dislikes, but still, just seems disrespectful to his work product.
Am i the only one that is happy Chris got this oportunity to get on TV but at the same time is sad that he doesn't do crazy things on his on channel? I mean... he used to do such interesting tests and videos on his channel. This is great too , but it just doesn't have the Harris stamp on it. Also , Kyalami is a really beautiful track , i hope F1 gets back there sometime.

I feel like that's why everyone is disliking the video. Just cause Jeremy isn't yelling POWAHHHH and cool graphics are flashing around. It's unfair to Chris and Rory who are crazy gearheads and put huge amounts of effort into the reviews.

kleinbottled79 I think that's a poor way to look at it. Jeremy Clarkson has made some of the best reviews we've ever seen on Top Gear. For Example his review on the Mercedes Benz SLR, Porsche Carrera GT, and McLaren P1 were priceless. Jeremy Clarkson along with Richard Hammond are my all time favorites.
I'll admit Chris is amazing and anyone who argues that is crazy, but Hammond and Clarkson gave the best reviews from my perspective.
I didn't say Harris is better. My statement was intended to defend Clarkson if anything. I wanted to point out it was an apples to oranges comparison, and they both have individual strengths. Is that really a poor way to look at it? Did you perhaps intend to respond to the OP? Seems you and I agree more than disagree. Hmm

Funny thing is Chris, just one year later in 2017 and Porsche came out with the 700hp Turbo S...which exhaust just screams out power and makes this one sound like a wuss!

Why does Chris Harris always do so much sliding around with all the cars he reviews and tells us about. A lot of us want to get an idea of how much grip it brings to the table and how well and quick it can manage going into the bends. We're not really interested in how well it can over steer,... we wanna know how well it can resist over steer. How well it can dive in and power out of bends is the mark of speed,... not sliding around like some knot head drunk on adolescent hormones and stupidity. Please Chris show us how well balanced and capable the cars you review are.
To me, the confidence this car gives me as an average driver is more enjoyable than the thrill I might get from a rawer car. Every aspect of the driving experience is near perfection, but the way each element harmonizes with the others creates an awe-inspiring effect greater than the sum of its parts. There is a ghost in the machine that makes me feel like a superhero. That being said, the sheer violence of the acceleration, braking, and cornering abilities still makes me shout out loud on occasion.
Couple this reality with 4 seats(!), practical and luxury features you would expect in an S-Class (including the best car stereo I have ever heard) along with a reassuring stoutness and (knock on wood) consistent reliability, and you wind up with a total package that I firmly believe is the best all-around supercar ever made.
Stop disliking, its Chris Harris for god sake

Chris harris knows stuff about cars that clarkson & co can only dream about, if you like cars you'll like harris .......clarkson & co was 80% entertainment 20% cars but I like both before and after clarkson, there just different shows
So this is the Chris Harris that was the Chris Harris before Chris Harris was the Chris Harris on Top Gear that just wasn't the original Chris Harris....Chris please stop trying to be Richard Hammond on Top Gear and just be this Chris Harris because this is the one we like...the one that enjoys driving, gives good reviews, talks serious car stuff and just makes good driving videos.

love chris and enjoyed the video, but i agree, that would have been great to include (it's not like he lacks the driving ability) - possible they didn't have much time with the car though, so maybe we'll see that in the future...
It's a Porsche with 580bhp and four wheel drive. Of course it's bloody fast, through corners and in a straight line.
no1DdC well, i can ramble on many cars i would compare it too.. which one is fastest? i never get to freaking know cuz the only thing they do in these videos are sliding them?! give me accurate G-force readings and we know which once are faster than others? compare it to: Ferrari 488, Lamborghini Hurican, porsche 911 gt3, Caterham or Ariel atoms, i want to see if the car handels when you push it to the limit of traction.
Chris Harris is the ONLY thing worth salvaging form the crappy last series of TG. Forget the rest apart from Stiggie and the Frauline. Seriously - the rest were complete crap. Period.
Hmm. What more could I want? Is there room for a supercharger - A.K.A. blower, and can the wheel wells be wider along with the tires too? It looks like too much traction is being lost of which more tire would help with and I would like to blow away Bugatti's. How's that for what more could you want?

correct me if i'm wrong, but a turbo engine doesn't get affected by altitude. it's forced induction meaning the turbo will pressurise the induction up to its maximum boost regardless of atmospheric pressure. so all that crap harris is going on about altitude is just wrong. i for one find him extremely annoying. his reviews are all the same. he just woops on and on about powerslides. boring.

unfortunately the rest of us Porsche owners cannot drive our new vehicles at Kyalami as our warranty will be voided. Toby Venter makes you sign a disclosure that you may not drive a "Porsche" on any race track as this will void your warranty. Porsche South Africa wants you to park it in your garage.
I want the more gauges ... that's all. Oh yes lets stop the blacked out grills and have chrome or silver front grills, vents and magnesium wheels.

O Please Please no more drifting on race Tracks, everybody's doing it. I'am sure its an absolute blast to do, but its just become so boring to watch, at least for me.
powersliding and drifting is fun ,, but it's not the quickest way around a track ,, so why on earth is he putting this car down for not being able to slide as much ,,it's meant to get round the track in the quickest time possible ain't it ?

No this is part of new Top Gear. Old TG never put out content in between series.
Which is how it should be! How can you imitate what cannot be imitated! Clarkson and Co. had their own dynamic that worked because it was them. For the new cast to try would be painful to watch. Chris Harris has always focused on the car and the drive -- if that's what you mean by Motor Trend, then you're obviously confused on what Chris Harris has basically done his entire career.
Chris Harris is the real car enthusiast unlike Matt Le Blanc who's doing it just for the sake of the show.
He should take driving lessons from Randy Pobst so he doesn't need to do it sideways everywhere.

1. drag races
2. drifting
If you feel that way then simply don't watch, there's plenty of other videos that will fit what you want but there plenty more who love this. They hired Chris Harris for a reason
Because he is popular, they need the viewers. I like him too because of his enthusiasm and passion ;) But if drifting is all he does, it will get boring VERY soon. Just set a track time and try to explain how the car really handles, that would make it a real car review.

Personally I don't care about the Top Gear name brand franchise, as long as the car reviewer is entertaining I'll keep watching, the Top Gear concept that was created by the last bunch was special but unfortunately everybody grows old and moves on, that a fact of life that we as the viewers have to realize and accept.
