    I think every fire fighter that is volunteered or paid should be able to use lights and sirens for there vehicle

      Unless it's abused. In Montana we don't allow volunteers to use lights because we've had cases of firefighters using emergency lights in traffic when there's no real emergency.

      @@n150cz9 That makes sense, but if they can't use emergency lights when responding, doesn't that delay response time during an emergency?

      @@Wolfspirit50 it does but we have firefighters who live at the station to increase response times. So the engine or command or brush truck or whatever can start heading that way to start assignments for the incoming units
