I'm not really sure how it works but I think they do that sometimes depending on the situation. I would imagine it's best to man the fire truck before anything plus they probably have intelligence from the caller who reported the fire so they probably know that nobody is in the church etc.
judging by the white helmet in the back seat I’m assuming he’s a chief so there for he would respond straight to the scene to set up a command zone and give a intial radio report to responding units
Just curious, why not leave the rumblers on all the time like the cops do? That's just one more switch you have to think about when coming up on intersections. Also your vehicles actual horn shouldn't sound when you press the horn button to change patterns. And if the siren Isa off and you hit the horn, most systems will sound the electric air horn. I've also seen set ups that when you're coming up on an intersection, you change the tone to that really fast hi lo, the lights change pattern as well too where almost every light on the vehicle flashes at the same time for max visibility through the intersection, then when you cycle back to wail the lights go back to your normal position 3 flash patterns, and if you're really fancy, your position 2 switch on the lights will basically split Alli the lights into two channels, all lights are solid but they cycle back and forth for really good visibility, but it's not too much for being on scene, and if there's a while bunch of your colleagues there and receive puts their lights to position 2, just bring around each other, all the lights on every car will sync up together. It looks really cool. We've all seen where there's like 15 police cars all with their lights going full blast pursuit mode, and that's just way too much damn light after everyone is on scene. So position 2 is just much more subtle and it syncs up so it doesn't look all crazy. Sorry for the long comment. When I get to going I just type away, and I am an emergency light fanatic. Sorry if there's any misspellings, this iphone auto correct tries to correct almost every damn word I type. It's like it knows exactly what I typed and "corrects" it to something that doesn't make sense. And I don't always catch it "correcting" me.
The hammer times out after 60 seconds so as not to burn up the amp. As far as the horn blowing with the switch of the tones, I installed the sapphire and cannot locate where my horn relay is actually located on my truck. I just wired the relay for the sapphire into one of the horns to get it to cycle. The horn sounding while changing the tones does not bother me; it may in fact help get other drivers attention. Our area does not have a light-changing system for emergency vehicles yet. If we do get the light-changing system, it will operate off of an emitter of some sort and not via tones. I have a 3-slider switch for lights as well as 18 buttons. My lights are simple and not as fancy as those in paid departments. Thanks for the question and for watching.
Once you’ve driven a vehicle long enough you know where you’re switches are you don’t need to look to find them. By the sounds of it this is probably his personal vehicle he knows every switch

@POV - Fire - Rescue is that a cop in the parking lot of the station. Are they also volunteer? If so how do they make it work with there department if there’s a call
@@POV-Fire-Responsedo you like driving the ladder truck? Also did you take command on this. What happens if they are on a call for Leo and there is a bad fire can they clear and go to the fire?

Loving the new rumbler!
A Trainer for use of audible signals here. 👍
Damn I'm 4 weeks behind! 😢sorry sir. I'm catching up tonight.
Calling Sandra is like me messing Tandra or voice message to let her know. 😂 but I know she uses Life 360 to see me if she doesn't hear from me. 😉
I'm jealous!!
We all get busy sometimes. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
Could you not drive directly to the fire and meet them at the scene?

No.
It depends on the department. Some departments require you to go to the station. While others you can go straight to scene
Some departments can do this. But not all do it.

It's the hammer from Feniex. I really did not think I would care for it. However, it seems to get the attention of drivers.

Nice job, Chief.
Thank you kindly
Really nice safe driving 🫡
Get a siren swtich box so you dont have to honk your horn to change tones.
I’m sure he has one. I believe he has the 21 slide. It’s a hands free mode.
Some fire fighters prefer the horn
Horn ring is actually the preferred method, it is also more complicated to setup.
