Very nice looking area. I live in Baltimore MD. Even though we live in the county, it still is no where near this nice looking. I have always wanted to live in a smaller town, like this one.
What I can't comprehend, he uses the electronic siren as almost a Q siren imitation, more than he actually uses the actual Q, which is more effective in my opinion.
Why dont they turn on the wail and leave it on and hit the q when needed state law in where Iamred lights on siren stays on till fire scence good job on the air horns tho
each tone has a different meaning... the normal siren u hear just the whale one is just to alert people to move out of the way, then the horn sounding one i think is what they use to clear 2way, 3way or 4way intersections :)
Sooo why is it you think sound travels faster than light? That is obviously false. I agree with hearing the siren before seeing the unit, sometimes, but the last half of your sentence is clearly wrong.
But science (and Chuck Yeager) have proven light is faster than sound. Yeager comes in because he showed we can fly faster than sound, but we still can't travel as fast as light. Therefore... Getting to the chase, maybe sometimes you can hear the fireworks before you see them, but light is still faster than sound.
40 mph the whole way there..i see why they didnt use siren 90% of the time..using the siren would have meant they were in an emergency..not a sunday jaunt
Good God did that take a while. I bet the owners of that house were just dying while waiting for trucks to arrive. p.s. for a fire fighting noob, what is the difference between a "working fire" and a normal fire?
guys, drive more offensive in crossroads! if u are so defesive, they will never learn to stop directly when they see a firetruck/ambulace etc.. i allways wonder how defensive u americans drive into crossroads oO its a fucking firetruck, everyone stops when its siren is hearable... thats how it shoud be...
Hans Petersen yes that’s how it should be, but unfortunately it’s not. We have too many people who don’t pay attention and feel they don’t need to move. (Check out some FDNY videos) The way our laws are written, if we don’t drive defensively, and cause an accident, we could be on the receiving end of a lawsuit or even worse.
I love how from like 0:55 to 1:02 they didn't move over for the electeonic siren, but as soon as they spun up that Q, they moved
Love those AirHorns!! and the Q of course
I love how when they let the Q rip those two cars immediately pull over.
gotta love the PA300 FDNY style

I'm confused, this seems to be a place where people know to get out of the god damn way of a fire engine, so I know it can't be anywhere in america
Pure sirens and horns! Great video!
Correction, Highland Park, Mifflin County, PA. It gets pretty spread out up there.
@goodwill2ndin FDNY style for 1 reason. It was in the FDNY. Former engines 290 and 15.
Very awesome Video was this a second alarm and or 3rd alarm fire and was Snyder County 140 and 40 on this call as well
Maybe we could have two fire categories. One for getting to the fire and one for fighting the fire.
Best usage of sirens I've seen yet on youtube. Very nice job you guys.
Seriously!?
I must say excellent driving by the Tanker crew.
Very nice siren work!! Kinda wish my department would let us do that
Well-driven response.

The Electronic Siren sounds like the same used by the city of New York they like to Masturbate the hell out of.
Why dont they turn on the wail and leave it on and hit the q when needed state law in where Iamred lights on siren stays on till fire scence good job on the air horns tho
Nice siren work
@Firebuff If you look, E/T 4 has the right away at the Y intersection. The other piece has a stop sign.
Lewistown Pa
thats a good way to put it all in all ever siren is ment to warn people that we are coming, and some are a bit loader like the horn.
drive it like u stole it!!!
your tanker got an all new light and siren job last year with a power call.
What a ride

Great job!
I think it's a volunteer's POV responding to the same call. If you look closely you can see a red lightbar on the roof of the pickup.
Yesssssir!!!!!
Rock & Roll
hph445 is the q torn up on your truck?
A 12 minute response time? Don't you think it may be wise to build another station in this part of town?
popeye1250 this truck truck would have been coming mutual aid which means it was coming from one of the neighboring cities to help.
popeye1250 right
we cover 110 square miles in southern illinois. some cover more. and I'm never right by 1 of our 3 stations.
You can hear sirens before you see lights because speed travels faster than light
Negative, basic science proves that light travels much faster than sound.
Sooo why is it you think sound travels faster than light? That is obviously false. I agree with hearing the siren before seeing the unit, sometimes, but the last half of your sentence is clearly wrong.
If you light fireworks you hear them before you see the the light when they explode
Tyler Meinema You actually hear them after.
@m4punkman A fire is never ever called in as "normal". It's either called in as a working structure or reported structure.
What was that pickup truck at 3:05 with the powercall?
jazzbutterworth chief officer responding in his personal vehicle... Were all volunteer here and there are no chief vehicles like in the city
Pretty much center of Pa...Not far from State College...Nice country, nice scenery, even if it is answering a fire call...
That was one long ass drive.
you can hear the power call of it when you go by so your right
hmm here it also work when we only use one siren (if at all), we never honk, and still reach an average speed of 40 mph in city traffic...
Yep, siren definitely should be on.
and some places have laws on the book that if your lights are on the siren must be on as well.
cool
people over here tend to be a little distracted and at times even with sirens people don't move.
I can hear a siren long before i see the lights.
should have packed a lunch for the road trip to the scene
This looks like Maine. Can't put my finger on it, Agusta? Or a town just outside of Agusta?
It actually central Pennsylvania
Looking at a map, I'd say this is Lewistown, Mifflin County, PA.
Where is this?
40 mph the whole way there..i see why they didnt use siren 90% of the time..using the siren would have meant they were in an emergency..not a sunday jaunt

Beucase people "Can't hear" or are too stupid to pull over for 1, The louder the longer distance is cleared ahead of you.

Matt Teixeira People don’t know how to get out of the way
