- Malaysia really has it all and these tropical paradise islands (Perhentian, Redang & Lang Tengha) on the East coast really took us by surprise! We almost skipped this place to travel through Terengganu but are so happy that we caught a last minute boat with SEM out to Lang Tengha Island to stay for a few nights as it was honestly one of the most magical experiences of our whole honeymoon so far! Malaysia, we love you and thank you again for the surprises and for keeping us on our toes!

I grew up on these islands! Well, I lived in the east coast of Malaysia and my family used to go to these islands for a picnic once or twice a month. Now I live in North America and around Europe. But the blue ocean and the sound of the waves hitting the shore are home to me. I love your video even though it made me homesick.

@@SilkyRonTheRoad Yes, it was! My skin was so tan growing up that everyone was surprised to see how pale my skin actually was after I moved away to start uni. The last time I went was before Covid (I think 2017). Last year I visited Malaysia during the monsoon season, so the island visit was a no go. You might already know this, but the monsoon season for the East Coast of Malaysia is between November - February/March, best to stay away from the islands.
I hope you do go back! You are such a fun couple and your video was stunning! The cinematography, editing, music, etc was one of the best I've ever seen!

The islands are on the East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia, thus the sunrise is the highlight of the day (weather permits…) instead of sundown at dusk.
Yeah, we realised that we missed sunrise every day… 🙄😅 next time! ✨
But swimming with turtles was one of the most magical experiences! 10/10 would recommend! ✨

Samporna Sabah is also great because the water is like glass, but the accommodation is quite expensive and there are less options for tourist to stay

The green balls you are eating is call "buah melaka" and the green and white gelly thing inside the pandan leafs are call Tepung Pelita. Both contains coconut and that makes it easy to get rotten so it is better to eat it fresh or if you want yo keep, keep it inside the refrigerator

The green balls are more widely known as ONDEH-ONDEH
From your campsite you can actually take a 45mins jungle trekking to the turtle snorkelling point. It is nice track with lot of interesting flora to witness

That baby shark is ‘black tip reef shark and it’s harmless. The round green dessert covered in shredded coconut is ‘ ondeh ondeh’ yummy 🤤 and the other one not sure what it’s called but meant to be sweet and sour and eat it by mixing it together
Yeah, the sharks are amazing! And the desert was delicious but I think next time I will eat it straight away! 😋

I think the water here is very2 safe. No sharks. But just be caution look out. Haven't heard any dangerous sharks around. Very happy you enjoy the honeymoon trip
