We want to introduce two new styles (no not style of the week although that could be a thing down the line). This format, top things to do on a budget and another format that we will be filming today, we plan on visiting some of the worst places in England and getting to the bottom of why they are so bad. Todays trip.. Skegness, “the worst seaside resort in the UK”. Very excited, never been, but wont be holding back on anything good or bad we see there.. tell it as it is! 👍

Italian, victorian and rose gardens fabulous as was your little friend. Yellow brick road! Special gate of the week was a surprise. The trail and beach were a cracker! Peasholm park is amazing cute with the falls and the boats. Good deal for the fish, chips and ice cream. 👍All the best to you from Mike at that place 🤠

South Cliff gardens are so very beautiful, thank you ever so much Nick and Jill for venturing there, nice to see the Victorian rose gardens too! Look forward to you guys revisiting to see those roses 🌹Love the views over the bay, so cool, everything looks so picturesque! 🟨 Good ole yellow brick road! Love all the information you've covered too, cracking! £2.60 is a great little price for a slice of nostalgia and the views! Of course i was BUZZING to see Scarborough castle, nice to see the castle walls! INSTA WORTHY! Interesting to see the bronte gravestone, interesting! I remember seeing Peasholm park in a previous video and loved the look of it. Handy they have a map. Great vid..... We went for a couple of days earlier this year and fell in love with Scarborough. Well done for showing some of the great things that you can see and do in this fantastic seaside town.
yeah i mean I absolutely adore the place. we have some serious issues right now with the town centre that i blame squarely on some very poor indecisions by the long running hung Council. give them credit where its due, they make sure they spend money on all the tourism aspects…

ah thank you so much Dave, yes we moved here almost twenty years ago now after a lifetime of holidays visiting the place. we honestly do feel like we are on holiday every day but the locals that have lived here their entire lives only see the negatives. i can understand that but can never be in agreement with them, we love it! ♥️

Hello everybody bravo for your video. I like SCARBOROUGH and i went there 3 times with my school. Studies the morning and then, all the free afternoon. Meeting with all the French at the Station and direction Southbay, for fun moments. This was a different video from you guys 😃 but nice to look around and see what to do in a budget. Its lovely here 😃The clock tower was nice and the Italian garden is so beautiful, loved the singing birds . The lift was quite cheap and with great views. The castle looked fabulous even though you didn't have time to go in but the wall walk looked great, nice place for a picnic like you said and with beautiful views of the bay. If you walk further up North Bay there’s beautiful rainbow beach huts, perfect for instagram! And the North Bay beach is a lot quieter than South Bay, so if you want sea but not as many people, head there!
There’s a miniature railway there too and a water ride which is not very expensive. Definitely recommend!
The market hall in the town is great for fruit and veg and gifts, and downstairs in the vaults are some quirky little local stalls selling just about anything!
Further down South Bay is the site where the hotel was that fell into the sea. Also free parking next to there, and a perfect spot to eat a picnic.

Ah thanks Simon, exactly that, id probably give a limb to live in the Lakes, Snowdonia, Scotland or the Alps right now as that is all i want to do 24/7. Unfortunately we don’t live 6 to 8 hours minimum from anywhere anyone is googling for places to hike. We will be visiting those places as often as possible but we think that might be as little as 20 of the 52 videos we put out a year. Its time to pander those other 32 weeks. Budget best places, worst places did we survive and eating comparisons… thats the way its going for now. Well, whilst my heart is in the hiking, that now becomes a third of what this channel will put out. I will enjoy visiting these googly places though and believe me we will be hiking every unheard of track in our radius every day we are not filming, its in our blood xx

Oh I am glad to know this time you don't need a bucket ride but the funicular railway. so beautiful to see the beach, the ocean and the sky through the window. So did you get English Heritage membership since you two visit all over the places? Oh, There is a secret hiking passage along the wall only the local PPL know about? No ticks? hahaha I saw two dolphins in the air! That's my dream to ride double decker bus and sit on the upper floor! How could you, two memorize all scripts???!!! Wow, I guess one day is not enough to explore this iconic busy town as the summer arrives. Thank you so much for this exploration with cost less. You two seem to have had a blast day! Superb! Bravo! very good Ms Kayak, its my birthday next week and i am hoping for an English Heritage joint membership as one of my pressies. whilst we wont be able to go to these lovely historic places with the same flair as other channels they will start to get more depth on ours too. yes Ms Kayak, very observant, cough cough, we are exceptionally local and know of the secret paths for great views! Great video guys, I remember Peasholme Park from being a kid and watching the naval battle re-enactment. The bus ride looked a bit of a bargain at £3 each. We were hoping to visit Scarborough earlier in the year but it was fully booked at all the places we tried. It's definitely on the cards for a visit.

Never heard of that theatre before to be honest I just remember The Futuristic. The South Cliff gardens looked superb yet we have never been to them before. but been on that life plenty of times. never been inside the caste but walked from South to North Bay up and around the castle and you really showed why you should do it with those amazing views. Bang goes another 10 subscribers lol but I love that walk along the prom from South Bay to North Bay and those beaches are both superb, particularly North bay when the tide is right out. Make that 20 subs for a back seat cuddle lol but love Peason Park, sent many a happy hour there on many a happy holiday. The fish n chips looked amazing we must go to the Anchor next time! and I remember the speed boat ride with very mixed emotions - long story! Great video, loved it and makes me want to go back again ASAP, for sea, sand, ice cream and fish n chips! Cheers Alan
ah the Futurist, shame what happened to that place, years of mis management saw it fall to neglect and it has now been torn down. The SJT is lovely and Sir Alan Ayckbourn premiers all his plays there, a new one every year. yes those subs dropping like flies and darn it I have a Whitby on a budget video sat on youtube now ready to come out in two weeks and that also has a kiss and a cuddle on it. i’ll be back at zero in no time 😂 North Bay Fisheries does the very best Fish and Chips but thats by Peasholm Park. The Anchor has easily the best on Sandside though, id highly recommend them. gosh we almost did the speed boat ride, what happened? 😱
@@GENerationXplorers - I was when my son was about 5 and my daughter about 11, it was an awful day, raining none stop and we were stopping in Scarbados for a week as we used too every summer. Mrs Metalman took our youngster son back to the flat we were stopping in and I took both the kids on a speedboat ride, just for something to do and it was real nice while we were in the harbour. My son was sat on ,y knee and there were a couple of teenage girls on the boat too, and the lad driving was trying to show off to them. Once we left the protection of the harbour, he really turned up the speed and started to do all these tricks and (imo) dangerous turns at speed, especially as the sea was real rough, which was terrifying, especially as I had a 5 year old sitting on my knee. Never been so glad to reach dry land again and vowed to never go on that speed boat again, all 3 of us were shaking when we got off :o(

That is quite the place, so many nice aspects to see, not hard to see why the Beatles mentioned it in one of their songs. That would be something to see the symphony play there. How cool is that lift up the cliff side. I thought it funny how you were evaluating the seats along the cliff trail for their ability to give you a view and some were non existent. I thought the same thing on a recent car journey that had pull overs for viewing, some with no views, LOL. Clearly somebody is not keeping them from being over grown. What a surprise you had in store for us on this walk on Marine Drive, LOL. Nick you weren't jealous when Jilly jumped into the man's lap? Open top bus for a beach drive, how cool was that? I would be a regular at Peasholm Park, how magical. Donkey's on the beach? I do believe we've seen those benches before where you had lunch...Love your energy guys, you always have entertaining videos that make us smile or laugh. Keep up the fantastic work.

we might have short sold it, it also has a Museum, Art Gallery and an 8000 seated, double with standing Open Air Theatre! 😱
Love scarbados. Peasolm park is good. Try and catch the naval show its been going for decades. But I was a kid in the 70's and remember the ski lift, mr marvels park, the big pirate ship and the waterpark. Sadly none of them are there anymore, but at least the mini railway survives. Now as a 50 something man we enjoy thr south bay with the great pubs and resteraunts.
yeah im 53, when on earth did that happen? Scarborough was the place my parents took me to year after year, we never went abroad and ive never stopped loving the place. the naval show is great, the last time i saw it was about a decade ago and the best part was a really broad yorkshire man that narrated the battles and said incredibly un pc things about the war, he was probably the same guy doing the show back in the 1970s, most enjoyable! the ski lift, last time i looked the fixtures were still there! Mr Marvels Park was amazing wasn’t it? until they built the open air theatre you could climb up there and see the remains of the dinosaurs and pool areas. thats probably been cleared now unfortunately! good times!

Thats amazing, yes like you I spent my childhoods holidaying in Scarborough. very fond memories of the Corner Cafe with pacman arcade machine and Marineland with the dinosaur statues and dolphin displays! After a lifetime of holidays or short breaks I eventually moved to Scarborough. I think you got the better straw! ♥️ 🇦🇺
Cycling across France ,loved this ,very well put together video ,a lot love went into this from the dolphins to the lovely open top bus .But our best bit was you having cod n chips made us sooo hungry ,now back to my 100th French stick de❤bs xx

Scarborough has so much to give, it is a wonderful seaside town. We were there last weekend and we saw some dolphins which was amazing. Those fish and chips looked yummy.

Hi guys, great idea for a video in these financially difficult times. There were so many great things to do in Scarborough - thank you for the fun and fabulous tour. I really liked all the different gardens and parks and enjoyed seeing the fabulous sea views and picturesque castle. The paddleboats looked fun, wouldn't mind a go on one of those. Haha, loved the bloopers! The beach is lovely and the fish and chips looked really tasty. Have a great weekend ❤☀🍦

Really appreciate these walks guys! I watch these with my mom every weekend, she moved from York to the states in the '60s and it's neat to see her reminisce about these places when she was a kid. Any plans to go to the white horse this year?

we do have a Mere that allegedly has otters, ive never seen them though, Dave from North Bedfordshire Nature tells me its because we are not there early or late enough?

I can walk round Scarborough blindfold. It's only 3rd year we nt been Scarborough. We been Scarborough near 30 years running. I hope to go back next year 🤞🤞
