They have them for official training and sometimes companies will open them for public hire! I know there's one at EGKK (London Gatwick airport for those of us who aren't FMCs) and it runs at a ridiculous amount of money, I believe it's basically £500 per hour.
I also visited the Intrepid with my dad, saw the f-18’s on the deck, the concorde, along with the sr-71. So cool to see it in person. unfortunately since it was covid, the simulators weren’t open. but had an amazing experience! the sr-71 just looked like something from hell

Every second of this video was riveting to me! I wish I had this setup in my spare bedroom!!!!!!!! There's really nothing more realistic than this except actual flight! Fantastic, entertaining vid!!
This is amazing! The only thing that could possibly make this more realistic is if they found a way to simulate an hour and 45 minute takeoff delay because one drunk dude in economy is refusing to wear a mask and airport security has to come drag his ass off there plane and now I'm going to miss my connection in Denver God damnit all
Absolutely gorgeous! The only unrealistic thing about procedures I saw was you didn't kill the taxi lights before turning into the gate. As a former ramper, I can tell you: those lights are like the sun. They are SUPER bright, especially if you're trying to marshal the plane in! In my personal experience, pilots would kill the taxi lights before swinging the nose gear to turn in, that way neither of the wingwalkers, nor the marshaller, would get blinded. Also give those engines a moment to spool down before killing your beacon, we use primarily that (besides of course the spiral on the cone of the fan, and the sound) as a way to know it's safe. Besides that, amazing job, super jealous! I would walk out of that room expecting to be in Atlanta after an experience like that!
Noob question - so this is a network with actual people doing ATC communications? I'd guess real ATC controllers? Do these people ever relax and get away from their job?
The VATSIM network is real people doing ATC communications, yep. They're all volunteers; the controllers go through a voluntary training process to be allowed to control airport ground and airspaces on the VATSIM network, and log on pretty much whenever they fancy, much like how flight sim pilots decide to fly whenever they fancy.
This is an Amazing flight Simulator and we actually get to see what the pilot and co-pilot do during a flight. So realistic. I live in the Chicago area, so this particular flight was of great interest to watch - even though it was a night flight. When are you taking passenger tickets from Chicago again?? LOL. Thanks for the awesome video and all the cockpit flight operations. Take care.
As a ramper, can confirm the water we pump into the plane is probably unsafe, the tanks never get cleaned out, and is shared across all of the systems such as lavatory, sinks, hot water, and coffee makers. Definitely recommend not drinking airplane coffee/tea/water and asking for the bottled instead
Wow....That's my dream to do flights in a full on realistic 737 set up! If you're using a full motion simulator at a training facility and you're using VATSIM for ATC...WOW...I"M IMPRESSED!! I need to get both you guys coffee for that!
The water coming from the taps on an aircraft (potable water) is only good for flushing toilets and washing your hands, its not because of where the tanks are on the aircraft in relation to the fuel tanks its because the tanks aren't cleaned and as aircraft are mobile water from one country might not be safe to drink compared to another. Yes always request a water bottle! XD

I also visited the Intrepid with my dad, saw the f-18’s on the deck, the concorde, along with the sr-71. So cool to see it in person. unfortunately since it was covid, the simulators weren’t open. but had an amazing experience! the sr-71 just looked like something from hell
@@Kamran1025 oh yeah man, I was surprised how futuristic it looked. it’s alright, it’s important you still enjoyed the experience. all I can say is that it’s amazing
Dude this was awesome, probably top 5 of your videos.
Always great when AirPotato9er5 drops a fresh vid.
Tyty AirLoudandproud95.
Every second of this video was riveting to me!
I wish I had this setup in my spare bedroom!!!!!!!!
There's really nothing more realistic than this except actual flight!
Fantastic, entertaining vid!!
This is awesome, I was just there last week, and had a great time.
another one of those vids that give me like a cozy feeling
This is amazing! The only thing that could possibly make this more realistic is if they found a way to simulate an hour and 45 minute takeoff delay because one drunk dude in economy is refusing to wear a mask and airport security has to come drag his ass off there plane and now I'm going to miss my connection in Denver God damnit all
wait...this doesn't sound made up lmaooo
@@AceCmbatguy25 😂😅😁👍
Take off your mask communist.
@@spazemfathemcazemmeleggymi272
It’s comfy tho :(
That is so cool, I bet that was so much fun with the full motion!
Dude, how awesome is that!! I was smiling the whole time. That would be so awesome to be able to do an immersive simulator like that.
Noob question - so this is a network with actual people doing ATC communications? I'd guess real ATC controllers? Do these people ever relax and get away from their job?
Reminds me of irl truckers going home and playing European Truck Simulator😂
The VATSIM network is real people doing ATC communications, yep. They're all volunteers; the controllers go through a voluntary training process to be allowed to control airport ground and airspaces on the VATSIM network, and log on pretty much whenever they fancy, much like how flight sim pilots decide to fly whenever they fancy.
@@PyrusFlameborn Railroad employees don't play video games about trains lol
@@lindsaymobil22 amazing. Thanks for the explanation!
@@alexander1485 You will often find that pilots are like a cult, everything is about flying. Living, breathing, and dreaming about planes and flying,
This is an Amazing flight Simulator and we actually get to see what the pilot and co-pilot do during a flight. So realistic. I live in the Chicago area, so this particular flight was of great interest to watch - even though it was a night flight.
When are you taking passenger tickets from Chicago again?? LOL.
Thanks for the awesome video and all the cockpit flight operations. Take care.
Only one thing is missing:The hot air ballon doing 420 knots
This is a dream for every civil aviation enthusiast, especially for those who only have the keyboard and mouse and nothing else, like ME haha.
This is really cool, 10/10
Absolutely stunning flight simulation. Awesome 👌 Loved it ❤
As a ramper, can confirm the water we pump into the plane is probably unsafe, the tanks never get cleaned out, and is shared across all of the systems such as lavatory, sinks, hot water, and coffee makers. Definitely recommend not drinking airplane coffee/tea/water and asking for the bottled instead
Good to know. Though, for some reason thought this was debunked in a YT video from a pilot?
Wow....That's my dream to do flights in a full on realistic 737 set up! If you're using a full motion simulator at a training facility and you're using VATSIM for ATC...WOW...I"M IMPRESSED!! I need to get both you guys coffee for that!
This isn't a GroundPound95 video unless ATC is clearing an air balloon to go vertical space shuttle style into orbit. This video is 100% fake.
Agreed, no hot air baloon doing 1000 knots straight 90 degrees vertical into space after casually formation flying with a Airbus A380.
Super relaxing for some reason...
I was one of the engineers that make those sims as realistic as they are.
If I would get you guys as pilots I would have the best flight of my life😂
By far the coolest video I think you've ever put out man !
This looks like so much fun! Glad you got to do this!
This is the flight simulator she told you not to worry about.
watched this with a big smile on my face. Brilliant stuff. That kit is amazing
I'd kill for this kind of setup in my home
This is super cool, because I had a flight last year from and to both of these airports in a 737.
XD
I think you got this right except the part where potable means it IS safe to drink
Yep, but they also use it to make coffee.
This is absolutely awesome and I crave more content like this from you
Let's get you in sims all over the country
Very cool! When ground says "cross 27R" doesn't the pilot need to read back "cross 27R" before crossing?
Ya, you need to read that back, and also report in when you have completed crossing.
@@coast2coast00 no need to tell ATC you're clear of the runway unless requested, only the crossing clearance
You see, they landed on 27R instead of 27L, look up the map of the air port
That was one hell of a video and a hell of a cockpit. Good job guys
I wanna know what that entire rig costs 😂
That's friggin awesome!
1/76 portion of the Boing 737 price, of course :D
I believe the number for a fully realistic simulator such as this is around $100k
I'm not super savvy about aeronautical stuff but I absolutely love this
This is a dude I want on my plane if the pilot ever went unconscious.
12:23 LEMKE is like 10 miles north of my house, I see all the arrivals into ATL coming right over.
is this better than keyboard and mouse controls?
Oh man this was awesome footage. Jealous! Thank you for uploading, this was a fun watch.
Bro it real i can't believe that it simulator
A little vibration in that cockpit and woah...so realistic.. Sooooo coolio
Can it run Crysis?
This was an amazing video to watch. Loved every minute of it
Lucky bastard I’d kill to fly in this thing
No need to kill, $99 for 30 mins :P
@@aivansama6265 ouch still 100 bucks for half and hour 😭
This is the best video I've ever seen
Imagine this, but in a hydraulic simulator…
Flew in one of these a little while back. So much fun!
"turning off automated cabin announcement, oh wait a minute" this is cool
I would of freaked out as we lifted off, that was insane., I felt it
you should of wished him happy birthday as you left his freq lol
That was so cool and no hot air balloon strikes either!!
You can make any sort of video and I will watch it man. Been watching Groundpound69 for years now.
You know this is an unrealistic sim bc it doesn’t have a Hot Air Balloon going Mach 10, Obama flying a Cessna or 5 year olds not following ATC.
