Honestly, the students at work could really stand to play some controlled MS flight sim. The IPs tell me that they get caught up with radio calls and the like all the time, and man this seems like a good way to practice if you're on the right server.
I live in San Diego. If I remember right, SAN is considered to be one of the more difficult airports to land/takeoff, because of location, curfew and size.

Just spent $550 on accident for sim gear. Got the honeycomb Alpha then realized I need pedals and a throttle quadrant. All to replace my lovely $36 logitech joystick with all functionality built in
@@MorrisseysMonkey It was a tossup for me between the honeycomb and the CH with built in throttles. I think the 45º rotation limit to each side was what held me up. Of course it's things like that that make me perpetually broke lol
How is that for flying? So far I just stuck to the Logitech X56 which I got for other games, it's got pretty much everything built-in (absolutely love the ministick on it), just wondering if the yoke would be an upgrade compared to that.
Autothrottle's off, FD's a 'little' off center, VOR panel's in manual, EFIS is consolidated (for some reason), and heading hold is activated (lol wut). So many things that would scare me IRL lol. Love it!

I had a similar thing happen to me after I had landed in the GLF4 in MCO a couple weeks back. Some dude had filed as his shorthand callsign from KDFW, and he was so drunk and disoriented he was apparently arguing with KMCO delivery for the better part of an hour just to get clearance and wouldn't even respond with his correct callsign on freq. Amazing. I couldnt control my laughter.
Legends says the kid is still asking the controller to repeat his IFR clearance.

Have the good old CH Eclipse for years it got the lot. I can't afford the alpha and all that so the CH does me.

Just got a thrustmaster sidestick. I almost feel legit however I'm mostly flying Boeings on Xplane.

The reason he is in P3D and not FS2020 is because of the altitude reporting bug, where ATC has you at an incorrect altitude
