4:05 TIP: Your life would be a bit easier if you setup the aircraft for takeoff. The TO Config checklist is displayed on the ECAM, and when you throttled up you didn't have the Autobrakes set to Max, and the spoilers weren't armed. Also, when you set power for takeoff, you left the levers in CLB, where they should be in FLX/MCT or TOGA (should be TOGA considering the state of the runway). Leaving them in climb wont engage the autothrust and there wont be any FD guidance for takeoff, not to mention severely reduced thrust. In fact, during the takeoff roll you can see a Level 2 alert on the ECAM for setting the thrust levers to TOGA. You can see after rotation the FD fell back to VS mode, but without A/THR on the plane has a good chance of overspeeding unless you either increase your climb rate or reduce thrust. 8:10 Clearly a sim hiccup, which threw off the computers and knocked you back into alternate law.

Awesome video Sir. Not that usual flying from A to B with nothing happening in between. I'm impressed how you handled the issues you had - especially the deactivated AP - and still got to the destination.
One of the things I do really like about the Airbus aircraft are the modern ECAMs which describe the failures in more depth and at times give you actions to remedy any failures. At around 08:42 it states the limitations of alternate law: "Protection lost, max speed 320 knots / Mach .77, maneuver with care, speed brakes - do not use." I believe it depends on the particular model of plane, but the Airbuses can have multiple stages of automation and protection methods including 'normal law', 'alternate law', 'alternate law low' and 'direct law'. Alternate law can make the plane really squirrely to handle and very sensitive to even minor inputs on the side sticks, but it's not as difficult to manage as manual pitch trim only which is what's required from the flight crew when in direct law. People who mentioned the Air France 447 crash are absolutely right. Pitot tubes and static port blocks or coverings accidentally left on can definitely make the auto pilot disconnect and put you in alternate law due to unreliable airspeed scenarios, but I saw the airspeed at around 270 knots at 08:41 so it wasn't that. So at least you didn't have to break out the Airbus manual and fly "pitch and power" to an airport for an emergency landing. Someone else mentioned a rapid air pressure change or some kind of flight computer disagreement between two or more sensors measuring the same thing causing the issue, which is possible. Hard to say. This is why experienced instructor pilots harp on people knowing their flight systems and how they work, though it's hard to do that in a simulator game when switching between a bunch of planes regularly for kicks and giggles. But good job staying in control, calling the closest thing you have to an instructor pilot for advice and getting the plane on the ground, even if you went for an unintended slip and slide upon landing. Great video!
